Even though the old thread was deleteted... I personally do not think that it would change the situation. Why even bother with posting a score tzzzzzzz. As long as they can play , most of them do not give a fuck about the other stuff. That's what I think.

to many people leave and not enough join, if peppy or someone doesn't host a awareness thing for ctb, it will die.
CTB is getting worse (TO MY TASTES), I'm not saying it just because I'm an old fag so "the old was better", pp is bad (ppv1 was not as bad as this one since it was about all kind of maps, all kind of CS and ARs, all mods (it was possible to gain pp through HD DT too), now it's just new overdose maps and some really mainstream ones), hypers are bad, HD is bad.

How to gain PP today? Do Crystal's and Spec's overdoses.
How to gain PPv1? Hundreds of maps, from Approved insanity, passing through HD ar9 stuff to even ar7/8 maps adding DT or HR.

I also agree with sousaki tho, games shift same as standard and even the same as taiko and mania, pp shifts aswel, new generation steps up and new play styles get invented and new scores that seemed impossible back then are super mega easy today, it's just how time tells. From what i'm seeing, a lot of players are leaving and not enough players are joining maybe due to the reason of how hard CTB actually is to get into, many of the new pp maps are just retardly hard but offer big rewards, a very common entry map is reanimate but back in ppv2 people can just do ting ting's and boom they are rank 300 and they feel acomplished so they stay, do you think many of the players who play today would of played if there wasn't ppv2 to motivate them?

Hmm...I never consider pp when I play osu because I spend the half of my carrer without that shit because it just didn't exist back in the time
Just play this game for the fun and not for stupid numbers (pp , rank) that doesn't reflect reality because its only pure mathematics

Unranked Overdose maps are fun, ranked ones are an hybrid, a nerfed crazy difficulty, they pretend to be really hard, but they're not, that makes them FCable, that makes them annoying.

Bit offtopic for current discussion here, but would any of you be interested in a Tag VS CtB tournament? 2/3 per team depending on how many people would be up for it.

Normally the issue in that Riari is: Not enough people sign up, the ones who sign up then forget they even signed up lol

Then we just gotta have to create a Tournament with "Weez"-Quality, aka. structering everything and keeping an eye out on letting everbody know what is happening through Forum PM's etc. Maybe im gonna ask the Osu!Ambassador Guys and some Tournament staff members to help

It sounds good but uh.... I'm pretty sure Tag-Coop still doesn't function properly in ctb, it works in theory, but whenever I actually tried it, it was really difficult to play properly.

Also Kevin speaking the truth, sad to say most people who host a ctb tournament are just completely unable to structure it properly and have good map selectors and when it's not run right people are just not going to care and it falls apart. I've been in at least 3 tournaments over the last year that didn't even finish because of the host being incompetent.

I'd actually really like to host one myself but I want to win at least a tournament or two as I've never won one yet and the idea of joining a tournament I'm running myself just doesn't sound right.

Tag was quite fun when I tried it a while back, it's a bit "different" but it's not totally unplayable as I've fc'd maps whilst playing it.
Structure and management will be taken care of by participants of osu!Ambassadors and anyone who wishes to help and can have a good constructive input. This post is to merely gauge interest, if people would participate, I'm sure something that is well constructed could be put together.

Also, if you would like to help out with any part of it and give some feedback with your experiences Zak, that would be really helpful.

I would certainly be interested providing I can actually attend my matches as I just got a new job and will have my weeknights taken, but with most tournament matches taking place on weekends it shouldn't be a big issue, if there are specific aspects of a tournament you would like help with organizing you can PM me and I can try to help you as best I can. I haven't actually hosted an osu! tournament yet but I have hosted a tournament on another rhythm game a couple years ago and that went really well

TAG for CtB only works on the specifics, but you can get around that by making a custom diff and just changing the mode to CtB.

Just so you guys know, The Tag Team Tournament Thread has been set-up,
and while the registrations are ongoing Riari and Me will further define the Tournament Rules and some other stuff,
since this would be the 1st Tag-Team Tournament for CTB.

If you would like to suggest someone or volunteer for the Tournament Staff as Commentator, Map Selector etc.
Then pls just leave your thoughts in the Tournament Thread or Message me or Riari Ingame or per Forum PM

i would really appreciate it if as many players as possible would sign up a Team :3
Let us all make this a super fun experience like Weez's Tournaments where in the past

These new hypers are a mixture between good old 2012 hypers and bad 2013/14 hypers, because they're now accurate and fast again (you can trust they get you under the next fruit accurately), but bug jumps still there (non-hyper jump after hyper jump).
Well, I'm so glad of this fix anyway! It really means a lot now. Good job peppy, or whoever dev did this, this gave me the motivation to play more.

Same distance between 1-2 and between 2-3 , it means 1 and 2 would be a hyper , but only 2 is a hyper...

I changed position of 1 it means distance between 2 and 3 is the same compare to the 1st picture , what happend ? only 1 is a hyper

Something wrong right here I guess its not the same physics as before but it would be nice if someone told me how new hypers works , I need this information to do accurate mapping :|

It's not illogic, the first case is just preventing a pixel dashing thanks to the centre hyper; in the 2nd case you get enough speed to get to the centre→to right thanks to the first hyper, which is needed since this time the first fruit is more distant.
It's not needed to have 2 hypers, remember that back in the time the 1st case had no hypers at all! The 2nd case has no pixel dashing but needed the hyper before, that's all.

welp my word "illogic" was wrong I would say "Its different compare to before" I think we never had this kind of situations on hyperdash v2 it would means every maps we made during hyperdash v2 will be different now

Pretty much 99% of all maps play about the same, I don't see why it's a problem

What is still a problem is what I see on the first screen. A hyper to a fruit and then the exact same way back without one. That is really annoying to catch and should be fixed.

This is the only thing we need to be fixed now on CtB hypers.

Why doesn't someone message some staff members then instead of discussing it where none of them look?

You seem to be able to explain it rather clearly and could possibly have it sent to peppy/whoever changed them again and have them fix hypers once and for all.
