logically a plane cannot fly to outer space because there's no air there. air could only hold so much of the plane's weight that at some point, when the plane reaches a certain altitude where the air couldn't hold the plane's weight, it will start to stall immediately. if the pilot tries to make a steep climb (this is VERY dangerous btw), the same thing would happen where the air gets very thin/the angle of attack is too high to the point where lift cannot be generated. in the case where the angle of attack is too high, the boeing 737-max MCAS system would help (if it isn't faulty in the first place).
