A few minutes ago I helped my sister make an account. But moments later the account got restricted, I assume it was because the anticheat thought it was a multiacc, even though no ranked plays were set. I was only teaching my sister how to play the game. Will I have action taken against my account? Thanks!

don't think so :D
you can also contact osu to report your problems with the accounts via accounts@ppy.sh.

good luck

Did you played on HER account? You should switch to YOUR account when you show gameplay to your sister.

tbh I think it's easy to fix this restriction just tells what you did and things will be fine.

They probably won't take action against your own account unless one of the stricter moderators find this thread but even then I doubt it. Your sister's account was probably restricted since your skills are much higher than that of a natural beginner and they assumed you to be multi accounting.

probably not by skill, specially at his rank.

I mean if you used 2 account in one pc then you will get restricted

4star 30second map, yes maybe they can. At this point, star range is just a joke

BTW I did use her account to help her. My sister had only played the tutorial and the AC banned her. I had emailed account@ppy.sh through her email and tagged myself (stupid idea) and then osu!accounts replied with the restriction reason: multiacc. And idk why it said main account when it wasn’t a multiacc. I had made accounts for my other siblings on same pc and those accs didn’t get restricted. Am I alright to keep playing on my main without punishment?

If it's the first time you multiacc, they won't ban your original account. I just hope your sister got her account back too.

I have multiacc before and they banned the multiacc. And the account isn’t a multiacc, it was an account for my sister. I’m pretty sure my acc won’t get banned cuz the acc was for my sister. And no my sister didn’t get her acc back. Cuz osu!accounts is dumb.

I shoulda just done this on a server that isn’t bancho. Cuz private servers don’t have any multiacc detection.

Idk why I’d get banned for multiacc when the acc isn’t a multiacc. Bancho’s multiacc automation system is doo-doo

I like how your first reaction to getting restricted was to post it in the off-topic section of the forum.

People need to not to use private servers because that can get your main account compromised. When you use the server switcher, the network traffic gets redirected to another server, after which the osu! client can happen to send your osu! login info to whatever server you switched to.

Any further support related to your sister's account should happen via accounts@ppy.sh (the one you wrote down was missing the "s" - account@ppy.sh). It is also possible you registered your sister's account with the same email you did yours - that would have been an easy multiacc detection.
