What happened: I had this problem for over a week and I still can't figure out why I'm still having lag spikes. When playing osu!, it will have lag spikes somewhat frequently which affect me from playing the game. Please, I need help.

What I tried to do:
I tried to change it to compatibility mode, still won't work. I tried checking task manager and it gets about 50% of memory when playing osu and about 30 percent of cpu power which I find is fine but I don't understand why. I already have turned off background applications and applications when running osu.

Specs:
CPU: Intel iCore i7
GPU: Nvidia GeForce MX130
Memory: 8 GB

osu! version: Stable 20210316 (latest)

Try anything in here wiki/en/Performance_Troubleshooting that you havent already.
Make sure your graphics drivers and windows are up to date.

If its still happening, a screenshot of the game lag spiking with the Frame Times Graph open may be useful. You can open this by pressing ctrl+f11. Wait for it to lag ingame and press shift+f12 to take a screenshot, then paste the link it gives you here.

Could you specify the CPU? I need to know the generation not the series.

It's maybe your Nvidia settings

Try reading this community/forums/topics/976724 or https://www.reddit.com/r/osugame/comments/9547wh/osu_with_nvidia_gpu_laptop_as_of_20180806/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share, Here.
So I tried that and it didn't work. Still having lag spikes. It also made it so much worse. Remember that I'm dealing with lag spikes.

Is there anything like discord running on background?

Press (Ctrl + Shift + esc) {on Processes} It will open up task manager then see what app taking up your performance.

And maybe try killing the task? (Don't kill system tasks tho)

Hmm do you have discord turned on?

I mean discord overlay on?
If it's turned on try turning it off

And

Also try updating windows.

I don't have discord open when playing. Remember I have no applications open nor background apps just like I said in my first post.

Could you provide a screenshot or video of the spikes happening with the frame time graph open? (Ctrl+f11)
