Have you ever wanted to know the ups and downs of an Alolan Vulpix? Look no further! Our fluffy cute ears are always listening, and will abide to most, if not, reasonably most, interactions. Being an Alolan Vulpix is like being a scavenger, we always know where to go, we follow those tracks, and we come back with plenty of our bounty.

I've already bored you enough with the lamest introduction I could possibly say, but the fact is, Alolan Vulpixes, like myself, have a lot going for us. We're like ninjas, outlaws of the snowy region. Perhaps you have met us before, but catching one, is a completely different story. We live in a world were void magic is possibly one of the coolest things you can do, and any other magic is inferior. But ice will always be the underdog, we might not be the best, but we're damn well sure it's a mystical advantage against anything not fire and void.

So come on in, the Frozen Lair is getting... rather frosty. Generally you'll want to avoid being anything not void, so the best thing to do is to look at what advantages and disadvantages you get per element. The obvious example is that fire will always beat ice, unless they play so poorly it hurts both. Void's only best because we're all a part of the void. Every element is infused with void, but you can choose to amplify your void powers later on in the enticing adventure everyone else goes through. But choosing to amplify it means you cannot be amplified by any other power, not even ice, which would be somewhat overpowered.

Adventure? Oh yeah! You're on a small pirate ship, you've recently acquired a treasure map, or a supposed treasure map, with an island hundreds of miles (or about a thousand kilometers, I see you non-Americans!) offshore of Arcfyl. Going in the direction from the nearest city, it doesn't look like anything would trap you, but journeying on forward, a dense and heavy fog scrolls through the ship, and the wind picks up.

Wind picking up in the direction we're going? That's pretty good, right?

At this point, your brain starts thinking something isn't right. Something just doesn't spark joy at all, and the wind picks up even further. You notice through the fog you spot land, possibly the island in the map. At this point, you're given a few options to scavenge from the boat, the island is close, but it looks like whatever hit the boat caused it to start going downwards, a sinking motion. The following items can be scavenged, however you can only bring a max of 3 items.

- A flintlock + 8 Simplified Gunpowder, handcrafted in silver. You already know what a flintlock is, it does bonus fire damage. Could be a great option regardless of element, since it is one of the very few ranged options you would have.
- A book with some basic spells. Namely Arcane Blast, Fireball, and Shadow Bolt. Three elements with good damage, but costs mana. While you are somewhat experienced, your mana drains fast after a few magic spells, and regenerates slowly. Can still be good since ranged.
- A small Alchemy Journal. While not entirely a damage-based magic, it can provide you with healing for both you and anyone you come across. Can also be good for buffing and debuffing appropriately. Lower mana cost overall. It is required to craft potions.
- A bag of useful potions, both mana and health respectively. 4 health, and 4 mana potions, aswell as a single potion, colored in pink. The label says it increases damage for 20 seconds, can come in handy for important fights.
- A single Cutlass. Classic pirate sword, you'd use this for close-quarters combat, great damage, and can even block basic attacks.
- A small coin bag. Contains 100 gold coins, used for purchasing items. While taking up a spot, 100 gold coins is still a good amount.
- A Void-Touched Sigil. Very odd stone, perhaps it can be of use later. It resembles a phoenix floating above what appears to be a planet. It smells... oddly familiar, like ash from a volcano.
- Small hand crossbow + 16 arrows. Hand crossbow, for a single hand (or paw). Solid damage, but has dropoff. Can also be a form of stealth, or initiating fights.
- A mining pickaxe. You have no memory of bringing it along with you during the trip, but it could be very beneficial, with no knowledge of what is on or in the island, anything can happen. It can even do damage, but attacks almost twice as slow.

Prepared for whatever it is to come, you decided to take the Void-Touched Sigil, the Basic Magic book, and the pickaxe, the other options don't really appeal to you, because gold isn't really of value if you die later on, and you're more experienced in such. Your only damage options is the magic spells, but you hoped nothing would swarm you.

Since the island is close by, you decide to take the plunge into the waves, which seems to have calmed down, atleast for swimming. The wind pushes you towards the island, the breeze hitting against your head. As you got closer to the island, you could see what appears to be a small tropical tree on a hill, and a large plains enough to fit a small town. While no town, it was flat enough to rest near some boulders if needed. Hitting the beachside, you look around to see if anything was visible, since you were looking for treasure in the first place. You look back from where you came from, the ship is nowhere to be seen, and the clouds turn grey. Perhaps shelter would be the first thing to look for, even under the tree on the hill would be decent enough to withstand a drizzle or some raindrops, but probably not a downpour.

Exploration around the hill would begin, you would begin to scavenge as much as possible, even if it's small. As you search around the tree, you notice what appears to be a small pond below, opposite of where you came from. While the pond looked beautiful, right below you would be an entrance. A cave? You should probably investigate, your pickaxe would come in handy, but since caves are dark, you wouldn't be able to tell what is around you. Your curiosity strikes you, hopping down from the hill, the raindrops start coming, and your instinct tells you to head inside the cave.

As you do, the cave already looks like it was a home for something, or someone, before. Whatever was here, left plenty of lanterns in a path for you to follow, and the more you delve deeper into the cave, the more strange it becomes. For some reason, there are unfinished ore deposits, ranging from iron, gold, and even platinum. Unfortunately your pickaxe cannot break platinum, but there were a few ore chunks of them laying around some crates. Picking it up, it glowed lightly in your hand (or paw). You don't have a bag, which really sucks. This cave has to have one, right? Maybe even a tiny satchel.

A few moments later, and a bad time to turn around to look at your surroundings, two goblins would raise what looks to be wooden clubs, enough to probably knock out someone in a few hits. Aggressive, one would charge at you.

You ready your magic book, floating within your hands (paws), and cast Arcane Blast. The charging goblin falls on the floor, injured. The second goblin charges for you, seeing their ally take alot of damage. You then cast Fireball at the second goblin. The blast would hurt both of the goblins, and the first goblin would perish. The second one would die of burning, right in front of you. As they both die, they would vaporize, before being engulfed by some void magic.

It took a moment for you to realize, but you won the small battle. Sounds great, but you have no idea what just happened. Your nearly tapped out of mana, and you just killed two goblins, or, vanquished. It didn't matter, their bodies were gone, and your stamina would regenerate from what feels like your first fight.

Venturing further into a direction with the most lanterns, you feel more prepared for whatever it is you have to fight. The cobwebs would grow in size around the corners, and the wooden planks would prop up against the hard cobblestone walls. The door infront of you would remain intact, or atleast most of it, some wooden planks from the door are missing, and there was a crescent-moon shape on the top of the door. Glancing on the other side, you see a table with a large paper map in the center, with three classic wooden stools as seats around the table. A tankard was on the floor nearby, with more cobwebs sprawling around everywhere. Your mind feels uncomfortable, but the void-touched sigil in your pouch starts to glow a bright purple. You enter with confidence all of the sudden, and the door behind you slowly closes, creaking loudly.

"Hmmm.. what do we have here... a lost soul, seeking vengeance among their enemies, or are they unworthy for Sha'flai?" The voice sounded female, coming from the wall behind the table, with some stones glowing bright purple aswell. Before you could speak, the voice rose their tone. "Ohhh, a sigil, I could see that from a mile away, bring it to me, for you shall be granted a boon, and a way home."

Home, it does sound nice. Clearing your throat, you place the sigil on the table. You spoke calmly, "I am told there was treasure here, on this island, lost my ship plus some valuables. I would like to go home, but I am confused on what this place is."

The voice would reveal themselves, but only as a spectral form, with a shadowy color. "I am Claire, speaker for the Void Wizards. We are a group of educated wizards seeking to destroy anyone that is against the public. This planet is full of mysteries and mishaps, you don't know what you'll encounter. We strive for protection for the people, and will vanquish anyone that wishes to tear the Republic down."

Void Wizards, yeah that sounds familiar alright. But you didn't know what they do, you would see them from time to time, but never in a large gathering. From your knowledge that Void magic is one of the strongest (atleast currently), you wonder if you are eligible to join this group. "How may I join this group?"

The spectral form would roam around you casually, eyeing you from head to toe. "You can be of use of us right now, actually. Small tasks can be done by novices just like you. Since you have that Sigil, you are automatically a part of us, but we will keep an eye on you incase you do anything... idiotic."

"Y-Yeah. I promise I'll help to whatever you need. Or the group needs." A smile appeared on your face, and the glowing wall behind the table would open, shaking the room lightly. You assume that means you're in, and you also feel like ready to learn some Void Magic, or even other magic. The form would disappear, before guiding you through the tunnel. A few footsteps in, and the stone wall would close behind you, and before you know it, a small portal would appear in front of you, resembling in void. "I guess this is... the entrance to the group?"

The form would appear once more, leaning against the wall near the portal. "One of many entrances to the hideout, yes. Through here is the hideout we call Abyssal Mansion. We call it that because it's a mansion in the middle of the void realm, protected by a large arcane shield from the dangers of the Void. It's quite large, and easy to get lost, but many signs inside will help you find what you need, ranging from blacksmith, wizardry training, and even shops. We even have our own Alchemy Stations if you want to learn how to brew potions." This was a lot to take in, but it all made sense to you, seeing as we do live in such a magical world.

You nodded, still keeping the neutral smile on your face. "Well, I'm ready to start whenever."

"Good, we're always looking for new apprentices to help our cause."

You enter the portal.

April fools, I know I know, but I got extremely bored. If you guys are interested in continuing this story in a "choose your own adventure" style, let me know. I just need the motivation to do something like this, perhaps even break it in small parts per chapter to get the full story.

After you entered the portal, you found yourself in the central part of a grand building. No portal was present here, which was a bit concerning. However, you had made this choice to join the Void Wizards, so you must now accept your fate. "Isn't this place just magnificent?" Claire spoke slowly, she looks pleased to be back in the Abyssal Mansion, or rather because she had just recruited a new member, which was you. "This place is the home to all of the members of Void Wizards, and now you're a part of it. I forgot to ask you, novice, what is your name?" She turned around to face you, and slightly tilted her torso forward as if she was in the middle of an interrogation.

This was strangely a hard question for you. No one had ever asked for your name. They just called you "an Alolan Vulpix". Now that you think about it, a name may be necessary in your future life at the Void Wizards. You paused for a few seconds, took a deep breath and answered. "I-I don't have a name. From my memories, I know I'm an Alolan Vulpix and nothing further." "I see... Would you accept Pix as your name?" You smiled and nodded. "I accept." "Now, feel free to explore the place. Choose what you want to learn. There's nothing from stopping you. I do recommend studying magic, and specifically ice magic for you, young fox. I have lots of work to do around these places so see you later." She disappeared into thin air. You know this was just regular magic, but you couldn't help but get amazed by it. One day, you will also be able to do something like that, you thought to yourself. One day.

Now it's time to explore the Abyssal Mansion! Your urge to get a good look around overrides your urge to get a good rest.

Walk around aimlessly.

I saw no one was continuing it so I decided to take on it. Your writing is way better than mine though.

Walk around aimlessly.
Although the locations Claire had talked about did sound tempting, but you're unsure of which location to check first. Your mind is too much of a fizzle to study magic. So, you decided to walk around Abyssal Mansion before you find a place to take a nap. There were a lot of people here, but it didn't seem like much because of the scale of this building. Suddenly, a pillar in the corner of the main hall attracted your attention.

It was different from any other pillar here. It had runes on it instead of fancy patterns, which was present on all other pillars. You got closer to it to examine it closely. Your magic book decided to fly out of your fluffy paws. It went straight for the pillar. It stopped in front of the runes and they flew into your magic book. You didn't know what to do. You swang your paws and struggled to get the book back. However, you failed to do so. You gave up and decided to just sit down and hoped the book will come back by itself. Some time later, the book got flung out into the distance. You ran over to pick it up, almost bumping in to someone. Your magic book now has a faint, black glow on it. Is this the color of the void? You thought to yourself.

Now that you found some interesting place, you should go somewhere else or take a rest.

Turns out I fell asleep on the keyboard.

Every thread I make about this will be made by me, unfortunately. I'll create every situation possible for everyone answer, but it's going to take some time. I have alot to do irl and other games, but I promise and swear I'll work on this aswell.

Oh nonono~ You'll be controlling the same character as everyone else does, the same Alolan Vulpix journeying across their world, engulfed in possibilities that everyone will see. The same Alolan Vulpix that got accepted to become one of the Void Wizards, and will progress through the ranks in a spectacular fashion.
