What rank is considered "Average"

I just recently broke the 200k barrier after playing for about a year and a half. This got me wondering, when is a player considered "Average?" I see people say that you become average at around 100k when you are able to pass 6 stars or something but that doesn't quite make sense to me as I am just under 200k and can pass a few low 7 stars. It doesn't help that those forums were from like 4 years ago either. So I was just wondering what rank should I be before considering myself Average in osu?

average in terms of normalized "skill"? probably something depressingly high.
average in terms of the overall playerbase? probably somewhere in the range of 200-500k.

EDIT: Its impressive how many wrong answers have been posted in this thread.

Although this is 2 years ago, you can still get an idea.

Given that more players have entered and that getting to 5 digit have increase from about 3k at that time to today's 3.6k, we can presumably assume that the average osu player today would be around the low 300k/high 200k in rank.

perhaps maybe around 100k below (if average), but in terms of "pro", somewhere around 20k below.

Around 5 digit should be average given that my friend went from 150k to 50k in just a week after months of inactivity. He's 20k now.

Imo I'd say high 6 digit to low 5 digit
