hmmn... i keep failing to post in time and im misjudging whether people are online or offline way too often now, that leaves a kinda gross itchy feeling

im starting to doubt whether i can reach the ~19111 score i wanted-- currently the daily point rate is too low (~591.477) for what im going to need (~637.033), even though i started this month with a super high rate (somewhere between ~650 and ~700, i kinda forgot)

so if i dont change that soon, i think i'll need to settle for a lower score like ~16666 so that the monthly score is still generally aesthetically pleasant, any other number feels a little bit wrong in the overall sequence of monthly scores x')

i'll just have to pay more attention...

the voice on the eng version??? the range in texture??? so good

its kinda sad that english makes the lyrics/vocals kind of hard to perform accurately without feeling like it's all running into each other tho, plus the way the harmony transitions between sections is awkward imo
but on the other hand, i love the clicky snappy texture of the original version's electronic instruments so much

i relate most with the kind of person she's singing about-- the one who dreams of better lives that were never had, where they've lost their hopes and dreams and mostly just live stuck in a bubble where nothing happens or changes, and where their idea of a future in the outside world looks so scary and uncertain that they dont even try

...i kinda want to drown in that song and let it soak into every pore of my body, like, burying into it and dying and letting millions of flowers bloom from it or smth ;o; its just so pretty and cathartic

i don't know much about grief but from what i do know, sometimes you don't ever really "get over it", you just learn to let it bother you less (though to be honest i don't know whether or not that'll be what happens here)

i do try to write them down (if i remember and feel willing to do so), and i can sometimes describe a few key events, but that's usually quite rare and it's pretty hard to form any kind of coherent narrative

i generally had the same impression: amalgamations of familiar and/or unfamiliar things on the basis of what stood out to us consciously or subconsciously, sometimes indiscriminately, but sometimes based off of something strikingly personal

whether that's necessarily accurately representative of how it works, im not really sure

i distinctly have lots of dreams about malls, not just stores-- one involved me getting stalked through a warehouse-looking store/mall and i started rushing across a shallow dry concrete/marble pit that seemed to resemble a garden or a farmer's market, with some sparse tables and booths strewn along some of its edges and through the center. i remember then stepping up and scrambling out of it into increasingly dense crowds of people through increasingly narrow glossy-tile paths that were once again lined with more and more stands and booths. i caught glimpses of the person following me, but forgot their appearance. i quickly crossed over to a clothing section of that store/mall, and then found someone who resembled a very specific classmate i knew from a school i had attended... i remember standing there anxiously, trying to describe something... and then a purple shirt... but then the rest of it escaped my memory

related to rats, actually-- in one brief part of a dream i had a couple months ago, i was a talking pet rat companion for an acquaintance/friend that seemed to be familiar to me (but i no longer remember who it was). i remember breaking into song and just pointing at a building in the distance from the bridge i scurried and stopped at, going "chapelll!!~" or something. then they started to look uncomfortable, as though it reminded them of something, and i seemed to react to that? i remember immediately stopping and gently assuring them i noticed but that i wouldnt ask about it

i haven't had many character-related dreams yet...

also!! i remembered the holiday mod (fnf mod made by bbpanzu) and am now going to make sprites (+ a custom chart) for "santa" (skid and pump's song), but with ps!bandu/ps!ex (skid and pump) and ps!bandu/ps!kandi (bf and gf)!!

i'm gonna do sketch pages with the pose ideas, so be on the lookout!! (gonna also redraw the bg bbpanzu made for the song lol)

the bandellos are visiting ps!davi, ps!david, ps!bendu and ps!kandi <3 and context for the little framed photo, ps!davi and ps!david wanted a picture of the bandellos to keep, so ps!dave and ps!bambi took a picture of the two for them!! (ps!bandu also stole ps!expunged's labcoat bc it was cold, and zeir a bit camera shy) <3

ps!dave: "well, there was this one time that expunged was being super rowdy with bandu, and then bonked their head on cresswell, who was sitting near the two. they shook it off like it was nothing and then ran away. cresswell ran after them to make sure they were okay, 'cuz they hit their head pretty hard, while bandu and i sat there like 'what just happened??' XD. they were okay though, don't worry. ^^"
ps!bambi: "i think it was the time that we bet on who could flick a piece of popcorn in their mouth, and somehow haywood got two?? him and cornwall were so confused but it was super hilarious for us all. the prize was 15 bucks, but we doubled it because of haywood flicking two pieces into his mouth, lol."
