Hello everyone today I have a topic on something as you know. How did you find your self here? Lots of people come from YouTube personally I come from a game known as FNF. I am kind of good in that game I'm not joking lol. I just wanted to know cause I find it as. An way to know how the community became a grown community. Saw someone playing mania on a yt live stream and wanted to try it. Switched to o!std after couple weeks, then have been playing it ever since. Eventually hands diededdeded and so I wound up here, on the forums 
I was in house of a friend and he said "hi I downloaded this cool game wanna try it" and it was osu
Bored > Searched for free to play rhythm games > osu!

xQc played osu! once and I tried it since I thought I can beat him easily.
Saw an osu video of angelsim playing. It caught my interest so I gave it a try
then, i saw a classmate playing a rhythm game and asked him what it was.
when he said it was osu!, i asked:
"wait, THAT'S osu!?"
been playing ever since.
except for now ofc lmao
I wanted to get better aiming in minecraft and then found this game on a youtube video. After a while my purposes changed.

For me I first heard about osu! back in 2015 when I was just getting into rhythm games. I had just seen the TeRa "Made of Fire" video which got me interested in StepMania. Then I found out about osu!mania, then osu!, and now I'm here. (again)
I remember that I first tried playing osu in like 2016??? But I was so bad at it I just decided not to play

I downloaded the game because of the osu mania talent show vid. I was meant to play mania at first but I got addicted in standard instead.
osu popped up in my recommendations way before i got a laptop got laptop now i got osu
i was bored and remembered i used to see people on discord all shown as playing osu and decided to check it out and i was not disappointed
I kept getting youtube recommendations for osu clips so I just finally gave it a try.
I randomly got into rythm games and osu! seemed cool so I downloaded it.

i started playing as a way to wait for geometry dash's 2.2 update. that was 2018. its now 2022 and its still not released yet.
