My biggest strive is making the hardest map in the game, just because I want to show everyone how far a person can get with their mapping abilities and surpassing all the borders of rankability.

I will lose my ability at mapping. So yeah, without inspiration and motivation. We can't do or finish everything like how we want it to be.

Hey Koc, M4M req!

To be honest, I never had much ambition in osu! in either playing or mapping; for playing, I knew I wasn't good enough skill-wise (and my computer/mouse really suck lol) and wasn't too interested in and didn't have the time to spend hours into improving basic skills. I just played for the sake of playing--for fun, and nothing really more. Mapping's different in that I do have a drive to improve, but my confidence and self-esteem have been shot down so many times (still are) to the point that I'm starting to believe there's something wrong with me; not just as a mapper, but also as a person, instead of simply being a phase all developing mappers go through. In the meantime, even though I don't have a clear long-term goal yet, for now I want to find the fun in mapping that I had when I first started mapping, and I think I can if I keep at it without giving up.

People who inspired me to start mapping would be Skystar, Kibbleru, Monstrata and Doormat!
No particular order, just the four mappers that really influenced how I want to be as a mapper.
Mainly Doormat and than Kibb but don't tell Kibb that.

I try to improve on osu by trying to become a better and more knowledgeable mapper.
And to ensure that, I joined the mentorship program in hopes of bettering myself.

Kevincela was a huge inspiration to me when I started mapping more seriously and I had always been a fan of his mapping style, (flying in the flow of the deep sea and Yellow Smile). I was lucky enough to get into the mentorship program when his mentee quit and he took me under his wing. He was really quiet and not very social but he still was there when I needed help, which encouraged me to do the same and return the favor to new and upcoming mappers. Making connections and friends with people through osu has helped me improve as an individual. We're lucky that we have a game that's universal so we can connect with and learn about all different types of people from around the world.

I don't think anyone apecifically really inspired me to start mapping/modding. I started both pretty much from own will when i was exploring different aspects of the game. I personally map interesting somgs (techno/wubs) for fun which pushes my limits of the genreral mapping stuff like flow and structure, and creativity. As an individual the single biggest thing that has influenced me is that I can find mapping interesting and the players feel like my maps are interesting/enjoyable/fun to play

https://osu.ppy.sh/b/1104514 yo, the one who inspired me to start mapping was lesjuh, playing his maps really made me feel like i was experiencing the song through the map itself. and then when i played some other maps with my favorite songs, they just didnt match up with the song that well, and weren't that enjoyable to play, so i started mapping my favorite songs on my own. i improve on osu by making my maps better and being better at playing at the game as well

the one who inspired me to map? idk, probably I myself realized at some point 'eh, my favourite music isn't mapped so I should try mapping it'. at first it was kinda messy, as for this map I tried to use more patterns (cause that's the main thing my maps were lacking, everything else was kinda okay). I can't even name the mappers I take inspiration from cause there are too many lol
and as for improvement I map more and play more, that's all you need I think

I normally go withh the flow,but the tiering kinda gets me since more bns may be pressured by this change
I really wish there were more clearer teamwork or collaboration between each and every nominator, and also no more bubble4bubble or 'if ur bn we can m4m!' kind of thing

I'm not much of a fan of the BN tiering system, all it seems to have done is create a bottleneck for a process thats hard enough already to go through and personally I don't see the quality improvement in maps that was supposed to come from this. I don't think that fault lies with the BNs though. If the goal was to change the 'meta', the only way to really change the 'meta' is to change the game slightly, for example readjusting the pp algorithm.

i personally don't mind the new tier bn changes, i think it's important that we distinguish the newbies from the more established modders even in just the bn group. bubbles seem to be thrown around sometimes, while qualifies are the ones that are more important, meaning that the ones with that major power should be the ones that have the most experience. personally the only thing in osu! right now that i don't agree with is the loved system. i don't have a better solution to how maps get loved, but i don't like it lmAO
