How to prevent locks and exiles

Well I stopped those Satires after deducing that:

1. Satires can just be posted as comments on threads
2. I need to read each and every post leading up to mods' locks before even deciding to criticize
3. Stand-alone insults (which can be hard to deduce from constructive criticism given the thread names) are best unsaid, and killed in the poster's mind

How should I go from there

Right now I'm not arguing with the rules but lots of things that I did disagree (subjective, some objective)

is 24 hours really that long of a time? It's not like this forum needs to be lit all the time. Honestly, threads that guarantee a lot of pages are probably the best solution to this

To be honest, the presence of the shitposting group was ruining this. None of their threads were worth posting in, but they kept bumping it on the frontpage a bunch of times, just typing whatever the first thing came into their head.

I'm really glad they've stopped that, probably thanks to the rule change.

What the hell are you babbling about? Why are you mentioning hardcore games? And Railey said a completely different thing from what I posted. I asked about the 24 hours because of the amounts of complaints other users had about that thread rule. Please read before you post.

Yeah, I agree. The issue is that the main people who were posting here before the rules started up threads that called for little to no discussion, with most of them dying out before the first page, hence why it looks so quiet now.
