The LN usage between 00:07:053 - and 00:23:053 - is inconsistent. I can't tell why you've used them instead of SNs. The piano sounds the same. As an example, the piano between 00:16:719 - and 00:17:719 - sounds the same as the piano 00:17:719 - and 00:18:719 -, minus the pitch. The volume is pretty much the same and the piano plays on every 1/2 snap. The violins are also the same, they play every 1/1 snap and play the same pitch for each whole bar. It can't be mapping the heartbeats as well, since some LNs are mapped without them being present - such as 00:16:719 (16719|0) - and 00:08:719 (8719|2) -.
Remove all the LNs between the two time stamps and replace them with SNs
I used LN at 1/2 piano sound that is not repetitive pitch like this 00:06:886 . 00:16:719 this part is my mistake. removed 00:16:719 (16719|0) and move 00:16:719 (16719|4) to 1.
With the kicks, it seems like you're mapping doubles on the first beat of the bar and whenever they have 1/2, or shorter, snaps. Otherwise, you're using singles. There are a few places where you haven't added doubles for kicks with 1/2 snaps, so add them in;
I used double at starting point of measure only. To make 01:30:716 (90716|4) double is unnecessary. 01:27:716 - 01:28:383 is double for melody+drum emphasis. 01:50:216 (110216|5,110716|4) doesn't have short crash and are different structure with 01:47:049 - 01:48:049 etc.
There are places in this song where there are crashes. You've mapped some with doubles but you've left others as singles. Choose to map them all as singles or all as doubles. I'd prefer if you mapped them all as doubles, as it gives more variety to the difficulty.
These crashes are currently singles. There are a few places where I didn't want to add doubles, because there was another note in the 1/2 snap before it, like 01:51:883 (111883|5) - and 01:52:049 (112049|3) -00:41:386 (41386|3) -
01:20:384 (80384|2) -
01:20:717 (80717|4) -
01:21:051 (81051|2) -
01:31:883 (91883|1) -
01:33:716 (93716|4) -
01:41:383 (101383|1) - Fixed
01:42:216 (102216|6) -
01:42:549 (102549|4) -
01:42:883 (102883|2) -
01:43:383 (103383|5) -
01:43:716 (103716|3) -
01:44:049 (104049|1) -
01:46:383 (106383|4) -
01:46:716 (106716|2) -
01:49:049 (109049|0) -
01:49:383 (109383|2) -
It is important to control amount when putting note in mapping.
These crashes are already doubles;00:55:552 (55552|6,55552|0) -
01:11:384 (71384|1,71384|5) -
01:11:717 (71717|4,71717|2) -
01:18:051 (78051|0,78051|2) -
01:19:384 (79384|2,79384|4) -
01:32:716 (92716|0,92716|2) -
01:33:049 (93049|4,93049|6) -
01:33:383 (93383|2,93383|0) -
01:44:883 (104883|6,104883|0) -
01:45:383 (105383|6,105383|0) -
01:45:883 (105883|5,105883|2) -
01:47:549 (107549|3,107549|0) -
01:48:049 (108049|3,108049|0) -
01:48:549 (108549|5,108549|2) -
same reason with above
I think you should remap between 00:42:719 - and 00:50:718 -. I've made a separate difficulty which is just this section mapped in the way I'd want it to be, plus an extra bar before and after. The difficulty is called "Easy" and you can find it here: https://puu.sh/u3Eyi/8ffe957ab5.txt
The reasons for remapping this section are in the box below;Between 00:42:719 - and 00:50:718 - is confusing to play because you're leaving out a strong kick/violin sound each bar, like at 00:43:885 - and 00:45:885 -. You're also inconsistently mapping the ends of the bars. The ends of each bar all have kicks with are snapped at 1/2, or shorter, but in three out of four bars you've left out a note on the 1/1 snap, like at 00:44:385 -. If you're now adding doubles to crashes, this section needs doubles added to them as well - there are a lot of them here
From 00:50:718 - to 01:01:384 -, you only need to add doubles to the crashes, if you accepted the suggestion earlier. There are a few other bits but that will be covered later in the mod - I'll leave it until then
I only concentrated at melody process. and only double at starting point of measure. your suggestion is good but I keep this.
Single Changes
00:16:719 (16719|4,16719|0) - remove the double. The piano and violins aren't louder at this point and there isn't a heartbeat sound effect Fixed
00:24:719 (24719|6,24719|2) - same as above That LN can express background sound and 1/2 melody.
01:32:383 (92383|3) - add note here, for the kick. It's also the start of the bar so it feels weird to leave it out already double
01:55:049 (115049|0) - this could be a double, since it's the start of a new section and it has a crash-like sound Fixed
Patterning
Some of the patterns here will be based off the original Beginner difficulty. Because of that, portions of this section may become redundant
About pitch relevancy, I didn't want this too pitch-dependency. Only for finger balance.
Between 00:02:719 - and 00:10:386 -, I'm assuming you're following pitch relevancy
00:03:053 (3053|4,3386|4) - move these to {6} and 00:03:719 (3719|6) - to {4}, since 00:03:719 - has a lower pitch
00:04:053 (4053|4) - is not the same pitch as 00:03:386 -. Since it's also causing a large hand imbalance, move it to the left hand, preferably {2}. Then move 00:04:386 (4386|2) - to {0}, to keep the same shape plus pitch relevancy in relation to the above note. You don't want to move them to {3} and {2} respectively and have 00:04:719 (4719|5,5053|3) - on {1} and {0} because that will put too many notes in the left hand
Move 00:05:053 (5053|3) - to {1} and 00:05:386 (5386|1) - to {3}, to follow pitch relevancy. It doesn't ruin hand balance either. 00:05:719 (5719|3) - now goes to {4}. If you want a stair pattern, the note at 00:05:053 - can go to {2}. If you don't, 00:06:053 (6053|5) - can go to {6} if you want; column 5 was played earlier than 6, 00:04:719 (4719|5) - compared to 00:03:386 (3386|6) -
Move 00:08:719 (8719|2) - to {1}. It ruins the {6,4,2} pattern before but it means it doesn't stack with 00:07:719 (7719|2) - and it has the same pitch as 00:09:719 (9719|5) -, so it's nice for the same finger to play it, even if it is on different hands. You did the same for 00:06:719 (6719|2,7053|4,7719|2) -, where all the notes are the same pitch and are played with only the index fingers.
Move 00:10:386 (10386|3) - to {2} and 00:10:719 (10719|6) - to {1}. Pitch wise, it's nice because the notes are descending one column (if you ignore the spacebar), like the pitches. In terms of playability, the patterns are too right heavy, so you should move notes to the left hand anyway. If you have done this, 00:11:053 (11053|2,11386|2) - obviously should go in the RH now, preferably {6} since {4} and {5} were played more recently
00:12:053 (12053|4,12386|2,12719|5,13053|2,13386|4,13719|1,14053|4,14386|2,14719|5) - there doesn't seem to be a musical reason explaining why these notes are alternating between {1}, {2}, {4} and {5}. Include {0}, {3} and {6} if you're using random patterns, or follow pitch relevancy
Since 00:15:053 (15053|3) - has the same pitch as 00:14:719 (14719|5) -, it would be nice for it to be played by the same finger, explained before. Move to {1}. The next two notes are also in the RH, so you should put it in the LH anyway for hand balance
00:17:719 (17719|6,18053|4,18386|2,18719|0) - this pattern fits well because the notes are descending in pitch. However, 00:16:719 (16719|4,17719|6,18053|4) - is uncomfortable because you're having three notes in a row in the same hand, using only two columns and you're having an LN release in one hand whilst playing a SN in the same hand at the same time. You should therefore rearrange the notes in the previous bars. I'd move 00:15:719 (15719|6) - to {4} and 00:16:053 (16053|4) - to {6} to follow pitch relevancy. Also following pitch relevancy, 00:16:386 (16386|2) - can be moved to {3} and the LN at 00:16:719 - can be moved to {0}, to show the descending pitch. The SN at 00:16:719 - should be deleted now, as it was inconsistent. Now, 00:17:719 (17719|6) - and 00:18:719 (18719|0) - can be moved to {5} and {1} if you want. The new pattern still shows that the pitch is going down but has better column balance
00:19:053 (19053|4,19386|4) - can go to {6} if you accepted the above. Otherwise move it to {5}. Basically, means that you don't have random stacks on column {4}
Like with before, I don't see a reason why 00:20:053 (20053|2,20386|4,20719|1,21053|4,21386|2,21719|5,22053|2,22386|4,22719|1) - would alternate between {1}, {2}, {4} and {5}. Include the other columns and/or follow pitch relevancy
Move 00:19:719 (19719|6) - to the LH, since there was a jack with the two notes before. It makes it easier on the player and prevents the patterns from being too right heavy
00:24:053 (24053|2) - move to {6}. It will then make a {6,4,2} stair with 00:24:386 (24386|4,24719|2) -, follows pitch relevancy and is hand balanced. The SN at 00:24:719 - should also be deleted, which used to be in {6}
00:28:053 (28053|4,28386|4) - should not be a jack. Jacks should only be used to represent repeated sounds at the same pitch, which there isn't at these points. Otherwise, you create a needlessly uncomfortable pattern. If you're doing it because of the repeated kicks, remove it as well. The kicks are everywhere and only making them jacks at a few points is inconsistent. It does not apply to 00:27:053 (27053|2,27386|2) -, as the piano repeats the pitch
The same applies to the following;00:29:053 (29053|3,29386|3) -
00:31:053 (31053|2,31386|2) -
00:32:053 (32053|4,32386|4) -
00:33:053 (33053|3,33386|3) -
rearranged
00:35:053 (35053|2,35386|4) - could be a jack due to the piano repeating the pitch. If 00:27:053 (27053|2,27386|2) - is a jack, this should be as well, for consistency. The same applies if you remove the jack. I'd prefer if you kept the jack for pitch relevancy and because it is consistent with the pitch relevant jacks in the beginning of this difficulty
00:34:719 (34719|6,34719|0,35053|2,35386|4,35719|6,35719|1,36053|4,36386|2) - in my opinion, there is no reason for these bars to be almost identical mirrors of each other. I'm not going to repeat this point; they're easy to find if you want to remove them and if you don't I'm just wasting time
00:42:719 - to 01:01:384 - should be remapped, as I stated in the consistency section, so there isn't any point in me going over the patterns
01:04:051 (64051|0) - move to the RH. In terms of pitch relevancy, it should be in a higher column than 01:03:717 (63717|1) -. In terms of playability, I find that playing multiple notes in one hand uncomfortable, minus bursts, so it should be in the RH anyway. The same applies to 01:09:384 (69384|6) -, except move to the LH
Change 01:13:384 (73384|3,73717|1,74051|2,74384|0) - to {4,3,2,1}. It avoids having three notes in the LH in a row, or four if you are a left spacer, and therefore has better hand balance. It additionally follows pitch relevancy. If you did this, move 01:15:051 (75051|1) - to {0}, so that it doesn't create a jack with 01:14:384 (74384|1) -, and 01:15:717 (75717|5) - can optionally be moved to {6} for symmetry rearranged
01:15:384 (75384|3,75717|5,76051|3,76384|5,76717|6,77051|4) - this is very right heavy, even more so if the player is a right spacer. Change your pattern to the following;Reasoning01:17:384 (77384|0,78051|0) - remove this jack. There is no prominent repeated sound which means there is no reason to keep it It's too hard to call a jack.Even though 01:16:051 (76051|3) - is the same pitch as 01:15:384 (75384|3) -, I'd move it to {1} to accommodate for the following pattern
Moving 01:16:051 (76051|3,76384|5) - to {1,2} puts notes in the LH, for hand balance, and allows the next to notes to follow pitch relevancy by being in a higher column without being too heavy on one hand
Moving 01:16:717 (76717|6) - to {5} gives its pattern symmetry with the previous one
01:45:883 (105883|2,106716|2) - there isn't a reason for these to be in the same column, as the synth pitches are different. I'd move 01:45:883 (105883|2) - to {1} so that the chord at 01:45:883 - is played by the middle fingers of both hands
01:47:049 (107049|3,107549|3,108049|3) - move this into the RH. If the player is a left spacer, 01:46:716 (106716|2,107049|0,107049|3) - will be an uncomfortable pattern to play and the entire pattern is very left heavy rearranged
01:48:549 (108549|2,109383|2) - again, no reason for these to be in the same column, move one note out
01:52:883 (112883|3,112883|4,113383|6,113383|5) - is uncomfortable to play because it contains 01:52:883 (112883|4,113383|6,113383|5) -, meaning that the player has to let go of an LNs whilst playing two other LNs in the same hand. It is even more uncomfortable if the player is a right space, meaning they have to release two LNs instead. Change to the following;ReasoningThe notes at 01:52:383 -, 01:52:883 - and 01:53:383 - are rearranged in such a way that they are symmetrical. I think it's better than the original even though, to be completely honest, it's still quite ugly. If you want it to look better, change one LN from 01:52:883 - and 01:53:383 - into an SN. Make sure they're in different hands if you do it, to help with hand balance. The LN at 01:53:383 - should be in the opposite hand as 01:55:049 (115049|0) -, so if you haven't moved it, the second LN should be in the RH and the first in the LH. This is more comfortable than releasing a LN and playing a note in the same hand at the same time
01:52:049 (112049|2,112383|0,112383|3) - is uncomfortable but it is better than putting it in {2} or {4}, since {0+2,1} and {4+6,5} are more uncomfortable. Obviously, {1} or {5} would create jacks and be the most uncomfortable pattern
01:52:049 (112049|3) - got moved to {2} to allow the SN at 01:52:383 - to be in {3}
rearranged.
You don't seem to be mapping 01:55:049 - to the end with PR. Because of that, there is no reason to have stacks in any column. Spread the notes out between the columns. Examples in the box;01:55:049 (115049|0,116049|0) - and 01:55:383 (115383|6,116383|6) - are stacked even though they don't have the same pitches
01:58:049 (118049|0,119049|0,120383|0) - one of these notes should go into {1}, as it's empty and {0} is relatively full
02:00:716 (120716|6,121049|5,121383|4) - having three notes in one hand is bad for hand balance and is unjustified, considering that it isn't following pitch relevancy. Move one or two notes to the LH
02:01:716 (121716|2,122049|0,122383|1,122716|2,123049|3,123383|1) - is also left heavy, more so than the above pattern. This would be made worse if the player is a left spacer. Move two or three notes to the RH
02:05:383 (125383|2,125716|3,126383|2,126716|3) - should spread the notes out between the columns as the column imbalance is uncomfortable. Again, if the player is a left spacer, this pattern will also be left heavy
