The possibility of people interacting with me is what bothers me, not the fact that I think it will happen. Interaction doesn't have to be direct, either, which nulls your point. ex. Someone killing a limited mob that I have to kill for a quest annoys me a lot, because now I have to wait around more to find another mob to kill.

But I actually manage to do fine IRL. I won't say I'm "comfortable" around people, but I'm relatively socially competent and reasonably liked within my school, and can hold a decent conversation. Dealing with people makes me anxious, but I'm definitely able to do it.
However, for whatever reason I just absolutely cannot deal with other people in videogames, at all. It probably has something to do with escapism, or the fact I consider it a leisure activity instead of something I have to do and just put up with, or some other psychological BS. I just cannot do it, cannot deal with them, cannot stand it.
Anyway, TL;DR I'm a loser in games but I manage to get fine IRL, ty for concern <3
