Wait... ...are you COMPLETELY SURE about the artist name?
Now that I think about it, the music was composed by cosmo, even with the, uhh, "lyrics" being taken from IOSYS.
Maybe NicoNicoDouga would be a more accurate composer, as IOSYS has nothing to to with the musical patterns here.

I need some collaboration in mapping Taiko & CTB.
Any Taiko & CTB diffs are welcome, then we'll take the votes.

In fact, Marikan is neither made by IOSYS. I just take it into the same group as previous songs.
If this is serious, I don't mind changing artist to Nico Nico Douga ;)

i cant understand why ppl always map “impossible" diff. just wanna awesome appraisal ?
map's created should made ppl happy. ctb maps has not a complete mapping system yet , but this isn't means mappers can abused the "red fruits" and unreasonable JUMP.

HEY:D my map isn't impossible to FC :D joynama had FC my diff.And many player miss 4~10 only.

Well, as there was something wrong with site and my modding post is gone, so I should rewrite this :(
Anyway arken already made nice modding, what a relief.

DJPop's Taiko
It's much better than first one, but it's still hard. Actually these patterns are pretty good but BPM is too high... (Mapping song with high BPM is quite hard.)

ignore's Taiko
Difficulty is ok, but I think this one has too many d k d k d k d k and k d k d k d k d, and I don't like stream of the big notes in the end cause it is very hard to get full score with that.

31's Taiko
Pattern is nice, but you need to made it simpler than now. I think 1/3 is too much for this high BPM.

Verdi's Taiko
Too high note density. Seriously, can you find someone can FC this?

If I choose one, I'll choose 31's Taiko (though it need to be fixed.)

- All 4 taiko mappers tried their best to make the map become difficult~


~My suggestions for improvement~
- Consider about the BPM of the song while mapping.
The BPM is 240, which is higher than most of other songs
A 1/2 note with BPM of 240 = a 1/4 note with BPM of 120, and
A 1/4 note with BPM of 240 = a 1/8 note with BPM of 120 !
Therefore i strongly recommend to use less 1/4, otherwise the map may become too difficult



[DJPop's Taiko]

- I like the patterns from 00:59:030~02:03:030, where the density is lower than others~


~My suggestions for improvement~
-Consider about the BPM, it is still a bit too difficult to have consecutive 1/2 + 1/4 streams ( eg: 02:19:030~02:25:030 )
-00:30:530 (5~8) idk if this is my problem or what, i find this pattern confusing. But i'm not sure if it is acceptable for other players
-02:06:530 (5~8) ^
-02:43:030~02:46:905 - I don't recommend using all big notes because the BPM is high. (Those 1/2 are equal to 1/4 with BPM of 120)

I asked several players and they think ignore's Taiko is best cause it's the easiest one. Yeah, seems players like easy map and others are quite hard.

I object! Until I get to look at them all, witch i'm doing right now.

EDIT: Ok after playing them all it's obvious Ignore's should be added, it's mapped very solid for this song. (Not a huge amount of 1/4 beats, but more of a solid rhythm) Just a few things about ignore's diff. After every slider the note after it is to close (The note and the end of the slider need to be at least 1 measure apart) Other than that it's fine. :3

Although that argument at the first post is a bit poor though... they like it because it's the easiest? WTF is up with that.

EDIT: So far...

...none of the remaining Taiko difficulties follow a simple Taiko rule:

Slider velocity must be 1.4
Since DJPop's is closest I'll give that a point for now. Going to look at chart now.

EDIT2: Verdi's version has like, poor note choice. Definitely not taking that one. 3/10

EDIT3: I give an 8/10 for DJPop's.

EDIT4: 5/10 for 31's.

EDIT5: 7/10 for ignore's.

It's sad actually, I can see different parts from the different sets that would work well if you combine them all. May I take the trouble and make a difficulty based on the patterns that I've liked within all the difficulties?

Would you allow me, DJPop? So that we can settle this Taiko voting once and for all

@Zekira - You know, this song has high BPM, and putting hard patterns can make evil map and seems players don't like it.
And I know 'the easiest is always the best' is wrong, but with this BPM, mapper can easily make evil map and that's not good. I know you are one of the best player but you should think about others like me. (Ok, actually I couldn't pass none of them because the keyboard sucks and BPM is too high.)
Just don't make that one too evil. I'm quite worried about that.

And currrently ignore's Taiko got most supporters. Only two (Yeah, that's you and me.) voted other ones. Maybe you should consider that?

I'm rating from both perspectives here actually

I felt that ignore's Taiko was undermapped a bit

Verdi's was horrendously overmapped

DJPop's is well balanced, but it has some parts that I wish was overmapped a bit (it fits the song and doens't feel out of place, unlike Verdi's)

31's also sports some good points, but it isn't as intuitive as DJPop's

To be fair I can't pass any of these without using my keyboard at home except ignore's. When using my keyboard, I can barely pass Verdi's though (if I don't ragequit before that due to random note placement)

Well here's the compilation of the best patterns from all difficulties that I just pulled together

All I added was that random note in the end for FC breaking

Suggestion DJPop: 6x is too low, make it something like 8x or 16x

LOL it's a Namco type combo number (987)

Offset sounds a bit too late too, maybe you'd want to -10 it or something

EDIT: lepido, not to be bragging, but don't you think your opinion on Taiko maps is usually going to be stronger than the opinion of other players? I mean, you're a Taiko mapper and you have a high level of Taiko sense. I speak from that Taiko sense, and I know that you did too.

This song is just asking for something insane, something that can rival the difficulty of Ryougen no Mai. It's just the song's nature. The only problem remaining is to not overmap it.

Actually that's my remaining problem; HS still isn't implemented yet.

Though according to Ephemeral we can use red lines for that. Just multiply 240 by HS lol

This is a problem. There's obviously a CtB community in osu!, maybe it would be best if DJPop could just PM the well known CtB names to go ahead and rate the CtB diffs here...

Actually, CtB is also part of osu! but...

1. No CtB project like aquabluu's Taiko project ;_;
2. No icon about CtB diffs on WEB-search :3 [osu! = star, Taiko = circle, CtB = ???)

/me had an idea after reading all of lepido's and Zeki-don's post.

Solution = Just don't add a taiko since this song is obviously to retarded to map. (It's a good song just in mapping sense it's terrible)

Isn't "Lost" alone too difficult to play in Taiko? :<

I think Zekira's Taiko would satisfy most skilled Taiko players since Lost's last part is a machine gun lol

crow's ctb: i think this diff cannot catch the whole song..like darksoul says..when i think the place will be hard, it is easy...but the seems easy part contains losts of red fruit= =
kana's ctb:the whole diff is great~XD but only one problem..i don't like the way using red fruit..it makes it almost like tag map. it is not good for a normal map contains the jump like tag map~~XD
pieguy's ctb:wow~it contains a lot of traingle fruit which i cannot do well....i like the way using these traingles~but maybe... it can be more jumper(only my suggest~)
yoki's ctb:well.... i don't know how to say but..these exteme jumps like flyaway will be human killer...i guess even a very skilful player cannot do it well...

yeah but there is nothing we can do about the lost diff since it's osu!, it will get played on Taiko anyways.

Personally I think all the CTB diffs are completely unplayable with those custom beats. You shouldn't be able to see through the beats. It makes the notes blend so much with the background, it's ridiculous to play.

Due to words of DJpop,I have tried all of the taiko difficult and lost
(Pass all difficult if I can for three times and choose the best one)

1/4 with 3 notes steam is some kind of confusing since this song possess a very high BPM,
like [00:35:030 - 00:38:905]
Different 1/4 pattern (3 notes steam) is much more confusing
like [00:57:030 - 00:58:905],[02:19:030 - 02:22:655],etc

Other 1/4 3 notes is little confusing even they are not stick together
like[00:44:655 (6,7,8)],[00:46:655 (6,7,8)],[00:48:655 (6,7,8)]

Others are fine

Very likely with DJpop's taiko, so it possess nearly same problem as DJpop's one

Expect at [00:44:655 (6,7,8)],[00:46:655 (6,7,8)],[00:48:655 (6,7,8)]
It changed it to 5 note with same pattern, this is more better

But there is another problem,
[00:57:030 - 00:58:905],1/4 steams in 240BPM with diffierent colour combined, WTF?

I'm not really good at criticizing, but the best CtB difficulty so far is pieguy's.
For Kana's: I think inclining the sliders that start at 02:03:030 would be good, your difficulty is my favorite. :D

pieguy's CTB = 8.5/10
this diff suits me the best, idk why lol

yoki's CTB = 6.5/10
sorry but in my opinion as a ctb player, slow bpm with little beats to catch is annoying -_-"
