i can't see tsukimonogatari on anichart :(

Like ToZ, Tsukimonogatari aired on Dec 31st, so it counted more as a Fall 2014 show.

I'll let someone else judge what to do about Tsukimonogatari

Kamisama Kiss 2:
I never was interested in first season, and 2nd season doesn't do anything to change that. I laughed like twice through the entire ep, but the amount of times I felt bored/depressed at low budget animations and a a mediocre plot line made the episode a lackluster watch.
Jindujun93
Yuri Kuma Arashi:
This was... pretty weird so far. I mean, really, what have I been watching just now? I admit that I'm not familiar with Ikuhara's previous works, so it might be that I'm missing something there. I'm not really sure whether I like or dislike it, so far. Has some gorgeous backgrounds, though.

I take seasons in 3 month intervals. January 1st starts the Winter season. Tsukimonogatari aired before then at the end of December, therefore not added. I go off of what series are on Anichart for this season. If it aired before January 1st, it will not be added.

absolute duo
I feel like I've seen shows like this a hundred times before
but then again there's a reason why I've seen this so many times
I'ld be lying to myself if I said I didn't like this kinda shit

my only quarrel with this is that winter actually started on December 21st :P

I really don't see why you wouldn't include these titles.

Stop complaining

Yuri Kuma Arashi - Weird as hell, but I like it. Bears are cute as hell, judges are FABULOUS, and dat eating scene. This better NOT be Twintails of the season. Class rep confirmed an Invisible.

Absolute Duo - Eh, I dunno. MC is your usual typical harem faggot and that flips the fuck out when he sees more than a centimetre of naked woman body. Best girl got eliminated right at the start too.

Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love! - I love magical girls. But magical boys? Nah. Wombat was pretty cool though.

Winter season starts with the first episode of an anime scheduled for Winter season. Tsukimonogatari was scheduled for and still aired in Fall season.

Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love! - So this is directed by Shinji Takamatsu (Nichibro, Gintama).. What the hell. for real? This is cringe all the way.

Absolute Duo - It's like a copy paste of Trinity Seven and Mahou Sensou. As expected from a light novel adaptation. 8-bit also did the adaptation. Nothing to see here.

Yuri Kuma Arashi - So boring and bland. The only thing I liked is the music which is at least decent.

I'd say it was about as good as hanamonogatari, if you like the characters in it (I personally liked hanamonogatari more because suruga is the best).

b-b-but all of them are best except Nadeko

I know this is supposed to be a comedy show, but I didn't laugh at all, execution of jokes was horrible. Nothing is going for this show, so dropped.
piruchan
I'm just going to be blunt from now on.

Absolute Duo It's the action anime that's still going to get a fanbase despite being only slightly different from other similar stuff. The background and buildings are awesome, it's even better than the characters. I can already feel that the OP is going to get a beatmap with 5+ diffs and skystar is going to take part in it.

Will likely check a few out.

Posting to come later in the week (hopefully)...

My first show isn't starting till tomorrow but finally Kan Colle is happening :U
- Yuuto -
Absolute Duo - this is my first anime in the winter, I haven't watch anything else yet. It's very reminds me to Seirei Tsukai no Blade dance, especially the silver haired girl...

And what is wrong with Funi's translation of Absolute Duo!!!!! Why did they translate the mc's name as Thor? Also, Dorn agency....

For those that care, a certain character in Absolute Duo will come back in a later arc.
xxdeathx
Absolute Duo looks to be generic LN adaption #16572 about a dude with a dark past who enrolls in a school for people mostly female students with magic powers and ends up with his harem of cute girls.

not that I mind...

Generally, they're given that sort of material translation by the committee working on the anime. If anybody's to wholly blame for naming trends, don't blame FUNi. The naming is intentional on Kadokawa's part. I think it would be neatly sneaky to have actually subbed it as Tohru, but eh. Official materials are official materials. Plus, ya know, actual name explanation is within the first episode. It's not from out of left field.

Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love! - This was stupid in all of the right ways. It's inane, dumb fun with good comedic timing, so I'm holding onto it.

Absolute Duo - "Bad" translation or not (but honestly, FUNi's translation is good), this show is really not very good. It's got some okay art and character designs, even if they're generic. Animation employs a lot of obvious cheats that actually take me out of some action scenes. The background art looks neat. The plot is bog-standard and not interestingly-executed, with plenty of annoying tropes thrown in there for good measure. This thing basically reads as "dumb light novel thing I'll give three episodes but then never look back at". It's probably going to be one of the more popular shows this season, too, knowing my luck.
Jindujun93
KanColle:
Remind me why this is so popular again.

Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu Love!:
As a parody, it's good, yes. But... I'm not really digging it. The thought of a Mahou Shounen just fries my brain too much to properly enjoy it.
Navizel
Shinmai Maou no Testament - The thing with light novels are most of them are just copy paste of another light novel. It might work in some cases but most of the time, it doesn't. They're not even trying to stand out and be the banana in a basket of apples. Just like this show. This show just screams horrible. Riding your brother in the morning with revealing clothes and then calling him a pervert is just downright stupid. Ten minutes into the series and too much is already happening. It's so rushed even the art says so due to how bad it is. Not even going to waste my time on this one.

Kantai Collection: KanColle - Basically cute girls in a battle, pretty much like Girls und Panzer. Fubuki's eyes when side view bothers me a lot. The switch to CGI scenes looks bad. This is going to be something I'm going to hate or like. It doesn't really stand out but it keeps itself to be in the average.

Kantai Collection: KanColle: SHIP GIRLS. It doesn't stand out, but it's not super horrible. I really hope this doesn't turn from fighting waifus to some schoolgirl style anime. The CGI feels so unnecessary.
Mogsy
Yuri Kuma Arashi - If you don't like Ikuhara/haven't experienced an Ikuhara show before, you'll probably want to avoid this. A lot of his typical symbols and directorial tricks are on full display, and there are interesting seeds planted for the sake of artistic development already planted. It's easier to follow than either Utena or Penguindrum at this point, but I can tell this is going to go neat places. It's got a lot of yuri, yeah, but it's definitely overt about it and not the blushing, mewling schoolgirls who are timid even due to a kiss hell, there's even a symbolic cunnilingus shot in this episode. It's going to go neat places and worth a shot if you can actually look beyond surface elements.
blissfulyoshi
Shinmai Maou no Testament: How low budget can you make a ln adaptation.... Well the jokes from the series are there, but with how bad this adaptation is, you are much better off reading the novel than trying to endure watching this.

Kantai Collection: KanColle: If only the quality wasn't so inconsistent. We have a horrible intro with some unfitting CGI, but we have nice junks of solid animation and cute interactions. However, I admit, I didn't understand 1/3rd of the jokes, and the battles looked silly... Adding on a slightly annoying mc, I am not sure how long I want to follow this series.
Mogsy
After all I've seen of Testament of Sister New Devil (Shinmai Maou no Testament), it looks like the type of thing I'd avoid anyway, so why give it the time of day. Heard it's pretty porn-y so no thanks.

Kantai Collection: KanColle - So, this was definitely a nice show to look at, even if the CG was kinda bleh at times. The episode moved along at a decent pace, but a lot of the jokes and catchphrases didn't land with me. The overall experience of watching this show, to paraphrase from another critic I saw, is like being invited to someone else's family reunion: fans will get everything, and it's definitely geared towards them. Everyone else either has to be previously interested in military combat and moe or just kinda leave. We'll see where it goes, as it's at least nice to look at during some of the fights, but it's leaving me a little cold.
TheNekoNextDoor
Kantai Collection: KanColle - Being new to the fanbase and not played the game made me clueless of what was going to come. I was enlightened. The plot is interesting and gripping, and the character designs were really nice. (The VAs were great, too) The only fault I felt it had was the CG. It was a little unnerving to watch at times, but I'm used to it after watching Love Live and some of RWBY.

Tokyo Ghoul √A: I knew Kaneki wasn't gonna be a fucking puss anymore, but damn he sure became one evil fucker really fast. I'm not disappointed with the start of the second season at all. The dark scenes and bloodshed were still up to par, and still some of them were fucked up. Considering how the episode ended, it's making me really curious how the rest of the season will play out.

Coming soon: Kyonko has a Jojogasm

Kantai Collection/Kancolle - First impression is that this is basically Strike Witches without pantsu everywhere. Unknown supernatural enemy can only be defeated by cute girls with military superpowers and the main character is new and inexperienced. I wager the anime will detract heavily from the main plot to focus on slice of life moe stuff.

The Testament of Sister New Devil/Shinmai Maou no Testament- the girl looks like Claire from Blade Dance with oppai lol. Totally in on this one cuz it's actually pretty entertaining and cute and I'm a sucker for twintails and lolis. The demon/gods plot thing was cool but I doubt anything significant will come of it.

Junketsu no Maria - boring
blissfulyoshi
Military!:
Super low budget show about fanservice and loli bodyguards.... no. It might be okay if this was in manga form, but the screen was terrible to look at, and the animation budget doesn't make me any happier.

Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata:
This must be the season of bad ln adaptations when even A-1's ln adaptation is a disappointment. While having far better animation than the previous ones, the changing animation and bad attempt at both jokes and fanservice (yes, bad attempts at fanservice) make this a fairly boring show to watch.
xxdeathx
Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend - the meta jokes were hilarious and the character designs were quite attractive, though their personalities are a bit generic. don't know what the main series is gonna be like but if it's anything like this I'm picking it up.
blissfulyoshi
Junketsu no Maria:
This was a strange manga to pick for an adaptation. I personally liked the series, and while there are points that are boring at times, I don't think they did anything too wrong with the adaptation. Going to stay around for a while.
Mogsy
Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend - Very, very shitty and problematic title aside (if you don't see why I have a lot of questions for you), there's stuff I liked in this episode and stuff I really didn't like. I liked the meta commentary in the cold opening, disliked it in the clumsily-handled-exposition joke. I liked a lot of the animation and neat stylistic cuts (they reminded me positively of Oreshura), disliked a lot of the out-of-place fanservice shots in non-fanservice scenes. I really disliked the sexual harassment at the end of the episode since it comes off as skeevy on all ends...there's potential for something here, but this episode doesn't really capitalize on it.
Faust
Kantai Collection:

A more grounded version of Strikes Witches.

I think it serviced the fans in various ways, especially how the studio animated the girls' battle order & deployment.
Would've liked Akagi to retain that slightly relaxed facial look from the original artist work though, but this little pick aside I was pretty comfortable with the rest of the overall design.

I did think that going first-episode into a battle (that is supposedly pretty important) was kinda hasty, rather than giving some time to cash in on the anticipation while exploring the current cast on a basic level.

Finally, the CGI usage is slightly distracting at times, especially when the girls are maneuvering in formation on the water surface/some firing scenes.
It goes from fluid hand-drawn to stiff 3D model movements in the in-betweens, so that might take one out of the immersion.

Looking forward to more of this.

Koufuku Graffiti - i like it for some reason. And it's by Shaft :v
Mogsy
Death Parade - I never watched the Anime Mirai short Death Billiards but understood this perfectly well, so don't let that deter you from watching this. It's really dark and heavy, and promises to be a Twilight Zone-esque episodic story centered around relationships between individuals and their moral centres. Death Parade is well-shot and well-animated and is all-around a gripping watch, so that definitely earns a green from me. Though, you might want to stay away if all you like in anime is cute girls. But then again you probably would disapprove of most of my picks anyway.

Assassination Classroom (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu) (AssClass) - That was certainly entertaining. It's definitely a standard set-up episode but doesn't bog itself down in too much exposition. There's some hit-or-miss comedy bits and the show's art is more attractive than its actual animation. I really hope there's more variety down the line (and that the show has an actual ending), but here's to a solid start, even if it's not fantastic. I want to rate it higher, but I'm hesitant about this show still for whatever reason.

I'm going to be straigh here:

Tokyo Ghoul √A: How to explain this without spilling some spoilers? Just watch it. Obviously you'll need to watch last season.

Kamisama Hajimemashita◎: If you enjoyed the first season, you'll probably enjoy this one as well. Nothing really new (it's a romantic comedy, what would you expect to happen?), I can't remember how the first season looked like, but I can see some improvement. Not the best jokes, but characters got a place in my heart last season, so I'll be watching this.

Kantai Collection: KanColle: Note that I know nothing about KanColle. First thoughts about this was how would battle ship girls battle in the sea? Oh surprise! Animation looked a bit inconsistent, but not like I care about how the animation is. I somehow dislike clumsy MC, but hey, I have some hope on character development here, will keep watching.

Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata: So I decided to watch this with no knowledge of the source material (heck, didn't even know about it), just by reading the summary/plot/whatever is called. Premise is okay, animation pleasant to the eye, there was certain character (presumably the heroine) that caught my attention; but the fanservice ammount in this show is not really my cup of tea. If the show wasn't going to continue like this, they scared a lot of people. If you like fanservice being thrown indisciminately at your face, this show is for you.
