Hmmm... weird. Are you sure they have correct size? For example SD is 90x90 and HD should be 180x180. and make sure that all numbers have same height.

The name of the file is "sliderbar.wav". The original sound is played at the lowest value, and the higher is the option value, the more high pitched is the sound. You can also use a .mp3 instead of a .wav. You can find a full list of the customizable sounds here.

I'm pretty sure Zeugmax is referring to how a hitcircle gets bigger and fades out after being clicked, though I have no clue if that can be changed.

I don't believe there is a limit but I can't say for certain. I've used a 20 second sound file before as an applause sound and it works. The common length for most is around 10 seconds or less.

In you skn.ini file search for "HitCircleOverlayAboveNumber: 1" and change the 1 to a 0, or add that line if it is not in it.
That line changes the numbers to be on top of the overlay instead of behind.
