I'm looking for the name of the sound file for random beatmap select (when you press F2)
Before patch it made no sound and now after patch when I hit F2 for random it's making a noise that I really dislike. Anyone know what it's called so I can dump a blank sound file in for it?
Edit: seems like it's also the same sound for clicking my friends to start a chat, as well as other menu options like "Mods"
That's the reason why, I bet. A 53 Byte .wav is... err... blank.pielak wrote:
This is what I'm supposed to have right? I put it in my skin with the name "click-short-confirm.wav" and put a blank sound on most of the wiki gameplay sounds. I even changed to the cutting edge build but whoosh.wav doesn't work. Nothing I put seems to work ;/
shutter.wavand I still can't stop the annoying whooshing sound.
select-expand.wav
heartbeat.wav
click-short-confirm.wav
click-short.wav
check-on.wav
check-off.wav
You want to get a sound file that doesn't annoy you or an empty sound file and save it as whoosh.wavpielak wrote:
I'm sorry. I meant that there is an annoying sound I want to skin to have no sound. I tried all of theseshutter.wavand I still can't stop the annoying whooshing sound.

I'm making a skin under ''Version: 2'' (''Version: 2.3'' to be more precise. I don't know if that'll make any differenceReddScorn wrote:
depends on skin version. "Version: 1" still has them like that but other versions have them in middle showing individually.
Some of them have @2x after name aka they are in HD.-Mo- wrote:
I've been trying to fix this for a while with no solution.
The number 0 and 7 seem to be scaled smaller than the rest of the numbers which makes the score look odd. I've tried resizing the dimensions of the files, but it didn't seem to affect it. Oddly it's fine on a 1600x900 monitor, but happens when I use my 1366x768 monitor. Any help?

They are all the same height as eachother. They are also the same width with the exception for 1. They're not the square dimensions as you mentioned, however.MLGnom wrote:
Hmmm... weird. Are you sure they have correct size? For example SD is 90x90 and HD should be 180x180. and make sure that all numbers have same height.
Can you upload them so I can see them?
The name of the file is "sliderbar.wav". The original sound is played at the lowest value, and the higher is the option value, the more high pitched is the sound. You can also use a .mp3 instead of a .wav. You can find a full list of the customizable sounds here.TFguy wrote:
Is there a way to modify the drag sound? It's played when dragging the opacity up/down or any slider in options.
Thank you! I just find it plain annoying so it's an empty file now :3koopa712 wrote:

Use Version: 1 in your skin.ini instead. And ofcourse it changes not only this but also the layout of ranking-panel, coloured warning arrow, etcIm Black wrote:
I don't understand how you make your countdown skin spread out, my countdown is stacking on top of each other instead of being to the left and right, please help.

Guys, when is playfield.png used?

Playfield is no longer used anywhere but editor, the role got replaced by menu-backround.jpg instead. Regarding the dimensions, stick to the aspect ratio you're currently using (widescreen: 1366x768 or more, normal: 1024x768 or more)
playfield.png is still used during gameplay of old ranked songs that don't have a background image o_OInori wrote:

I'm pretty sure Zeugmax is referring to how a hitcircle gets bigger and fades out after being clicked, though I have no clue if that can be changed.OsuMe65 wrote:

I'm not sure of what he's referring to aswell, but the only fade in I know of is the approach circle I guess, and you should never play without them (unless with hidden). Maybe the lighting.png file? But that gives a fade out effect, not fade in.dorothy3242 wrote:

I usually run it in 1366 x 768 (native) with fullscreen mode, but it happens no matter what resolution I use. It's less visible on lower resolutions because of the upscaled blurriness in fullscreen, but it's still there. Only with some elements that I've made does this happen, but no matter I can't seem to make it go away on the ranking letters.Milhofo wrote:
Also I don't know what happened to your file dorothy, never happened to me, what resolution do you run your game in? Did you try changing it?

I usually use another skin as an example (open the elements of that skin and see their positioning), or just go by trial and error. Maybe there's a way more simple solution that I don't know of?Ruin Lance wrote:

How do I line up the scorebar with the background of the scorebar?
Rename your old hit300-0.png to hit300-1.png and rename a copy of hit300.png to hit300-0.png. Same goes for hit300g.pngK-F-C wrote:
I need some help with the scoreboard.
For awhile, I could use different elements for the playing field and the scoreboard (blank hit300-0.png, and a actual image for hit300.png), however, since one of the recent updates, the scoreboard seems to be using the hit300-0.png instead, displaying an empty space instead of an image. Anyone know how to fix this ?
make sure that you named combobursts as "comboburst" or "comboburst-0, comboburst-1, comboburst-2, and so on".Im Black wrote:

I don't believe there is a limit but I can't say for certain. I've used a 20 second sound file before as an applause sound and it works. The common length for most is around 10 seconds or less.a1l2d3r4e5d6 wrote:
Is there a limit to how long the applause sound file is? If not then what is the recommended length for it?
Ok. Thank you. This has given me a general idea of how long it should be.SAOnline wrote:

In you skn.ini file search for "HitCircleOverlayAboveNumber: 1" and change the 1 to a 0, or add that line if it is not in it.NoClue wrote:
Hey guys! Quick question regarding hitnotes.
Is there any way at all to be able to have static coloring on a note?
For example: I wish to put a very small decal at the center of the note but can't get the proper effect for it because of how the hitnote layer is effected by the color change and that I wish for it to not change. I also can't apply the decal to the overlay because I've come to find out that the overlay file goes over the top of the numbers as well.
Kind of stuck but not sure if there's some sort of work around that I can use to achieve this.
Oh ho! Thank you very much. Didn't think that you could change the layering order of things.ReddScorn wrote:

That line changes the numbers to be on top of the overlay instead of behind.
