It feels so good to win a 3v5 tho. I've ended up in 2 other 3v5 but both those times nobody knew what to do and they kept going off and fighting alone and getting killed.

I've never played an assassin before and got Bastet and played her for the first time just now. I won my first game with her and got the 2nd most kills and least deaths so I don't think I'm doing too badly.
Assassins are too much fun, they need a lot more work then mages who just throw their stuff into fights. And Bastet is so fun to play, with that pounce. What do you build on her? I mostly go for Transcendence or Hearthseeker, then pen boots and jotuns, after it's mostly Titans Bane and some crit or defense. I like magis blessing on her as well. Her recolor is really awesome!

So the new god basically has Ao Kuangs's kit while the current Ao Kuang is removed until his new kit is ready? Really weird they did it that way. I knew they were going to give him some of Ao's kit, but I didn't expect them to just paste the whole thing directly onto him. LOL

Isn't it an oddysey item? I don't get that oddysey thing but just hoping for an awesome Chronos/Kali skin. But Odin mid/early dmg so high wtf is that. An Arachne and Odin got actually OP. Never thought I'd say that...
The Smite Wiki says it is but from my experience you never trust wiki's on unreleased content when it comes to games. It also has it as a 600 gem skin and from what I saw the quality doesn't look like it should cost 600 (it could be unfinished though). I'll still buy it for 600 because the whole top hat and monocle thing on a wolf is hilarious. Definitely going to be my favorite skin.

Saw the oddysey info on reddit and truth is like 50/50 on reddit. Yeah, chests seem kind of braindead. Got second place in a 1v1 tourney and won giveaways, gave out 4k gems for treasure chests now left with 100s of days boosters from all the vps I got. 2 people I know bought everything in the game via chests which is actually smart considering you save about 200~ gems per purchase. I still prefer saving for skins I actually like then mindless spending money on something I'll never use.
The idea of chest is fine (oh i have 200 gems but i don't really want anything in particular? *BUYS CHEST!*) but having exclusive skins in them is not. Fact of the matter is you shouldn't force people to dump loads of money on a gambling system for a piece of content they want. Other than all Fenrir skins and a couple of ward skins I'm not really interested in much of the other content.

For his redesign, they are basically just giving him legs to make him closer to the real Ao.
I'm not really concerned with the in game model more so of his new kit. If his model drastically changes it was probably because the chinese overlords complained just like they did with Nu Wa.

I swear all I do is lose in Smite now. Went from a 58% winrate to 52% in 2 damn days! Everyone on the forums said it's because all the arena and assault players are flooding conquest for the free gems so i get some pretty horrible players on my team almost every game.
I did manage to win a 4v5 just now though.

I just played a Seige with one of my friends and the way we won was too fucking beautiful. While the 2 enemies up were pushing with their seige jug and their other 2 not being up for 30-40 seconds, he was playing Mercury and just went though the jungle and tanked their titan. We had their titan at really low health and he was hitting auto for like 900 but it was still fucking glorious.
There is nothing wrong with splitpushing. Matter of fact it's the only way I can win and carry games. I even get fed while doing it too.

Herc is a god for people that don't really know what they are doing .-. Most people I play against with my main are like: "omg leftlick hard" "is kali really that easy?". Lately often when I solo queue people start bming teammates randomly for "feed" when they go negative or if they go something that isn't seen as good a retard. They aswell like to challenge people for 1v1s and try so hard that it kills them.

People haven't grasped the concept of early and late game gods yet because they are used to stuff like Freya and Mercury wrecking face at every stage of the game.

I finally played again a couple days ago for the first time in a month. When coming back, idk what it is, but I feel like everyone is twice and angry and twice as bad as they were before. I was on a team with 2 "pro" players, one had a master 7 Thanatos and the other had a mastery 8 something, but I forget what. They played way too aggressively, kept getting themselves killed for no reason, and then we lost because they were dead pretty much the whole time.
I do find that the raging 12 year olds seem to be more common in smite now that it's population is growing.
Maybe it's just me, but I felt like those kids always existed. Even if the community is way better then in a lot of other online games that are f2p. The bigger games are kind of a magnet for such people, just look at League of Legends.

My queue times for Arena and Conquest are always less than 30 seconds. Joust is either a really underplayed game mode or your MMR is just that high. LOL
Joust is far from being underplayed, but at my MMR it kinda is. Aswell it got really easy to dodge (most people know I don't solo queue, so if they see me in no party and joining queue they know I'll queue Joust). The other queues are from 30 seconds - 3 min for me.

I know that Smite is trying to improve matchmaking, and recently I have had more close matches, but yesterday while playing a bit with my clan, we were up against 3 people with mastery 10's and 5000+ kills on each. Thanks improved matchmaking!
An upside tho is that foreign servers have become more stable. I was playing with 2 people in my clan and the leader was someone from Australia, so it was connecting to Australian servers. I was very surprised and happy that I had no lag at all while playing on them.

When I 4 man queue Siege and it happens that we have some master/high ranked players with their tryhard face that try to break our old record of speedrun Siege (6 min) we get a lot of salty people. If we wouldnt have queued as a party the team would be split fair I guess.
As much hate Nox get, she is probably one of the best counters to He Bo. And she got damage that is also quite decent. Whats funny is that she kinda negates her own kit (ult and 2). And her 1 is the most useless skill ever...

Nox is a poorly designed anti mage. They should just rework her because no amount of number tweaks is going to save that theme with her current kit.

Yeah I play Kuku and Artemis a lot, and I have been getting into Scylla and Freya more recently.
I'm prolly going to go for Sacred Dragon for Kuku and maybe also gold and legendary, and then I really want Lil' Red for Scylla. I'll prolly pour $25 into gems or something and see what I can get.

I got the Lil' Red skin for Scylla so I got a free odyssey chest. Surprisingly, it spit out something I wanted. It gave me the voice pack for Kuku.
So many people are scared of playing ranked because they could get stomped (especially 1v1). There are 2 kinds of 1v1 players, the ones that play for fun, the others (just look at Mexxtex) that try to win no matter what (Backdoor, Cheese, literally spamming games). Since the new queue system I started playing on my other level 30 acc Redàlice to get shorter queues and easy matches. And against conq ranked, I by myself get bored at picking/banning.
I own everything in the game except recolors. Some exceptions are Golden/Diamond He Bo, Diamond Merc. I rarely buy Gold skins, more likely I'll buy a Legendary or Diamond skin. It's really easy to get gems with tournaments/free gem days/giveaways on twitch. My friend in Smite gave me 8000 gems on my birthday so I just bought most of the skins in chests with them.

I own everything in the game except recolors. Some exceptions are Golden/Diamond He Bo, Diamond Merc. I rarely buy Gold skins, more likely I'll buy a Legendary or Diamond skin. It's really easy to get gems with tournaments/free gem days/giveaways on twitch. My friend in Smite gave me 8000 gems on my birthday so I just bought most of the skins in chests with them.

My stats overall are really bad. When I see stats pages that combine all modes I cringe since Joust 1v1 destroys everything. Recently saw a lot more hackers in Smite. Wezired/Symzer got banned (thanks god, his autoaim was a pain to go against, so were his wallhacks...).

I think the Hel skin should be cheaper since it's quite lackluster compared to the other current Christmas skins. Not that it is bad, just compare it to the Nu Wa or Sylvanus skin.
Ao Kuang got nerfed already, I didn't see a problem with him. He had 1 way to deal damage that was easily countered (his 2) and his execute is quite weak (you can beads, aegis etc.). His Attack Progression was quite sick (kinda like Kali) maybe they could have changed that.
Atleast Vamana got the nerf he deserved (at his ulti, instead of 140 free physical power 100), he just encouraged stacking defense and then getting 1 crit item.

Everyone was complaining how if you aren't watching yourself, then Ao could use activate his 2 and completely take them down. It's not really the matter that he himself was strong, it's that people are pissy that he was super strong if you build him right.
Beads and Aegis literally counters every god in the game. That's how broken those actives are.
Every "how to counter X god?" thread I see on the smite forums has "buy beads, aegis, magi's and GG" reply in it.
Problem is you can not nerf those actives in any significant way without tipping the table and making some gods ridiculously broken. About 10-12 gods would have to be nerfed before you can get to addressing those actives.

With all these free gems again I keep going up against really good ranked players in Arena and I can't win anything ;_;

The issue I have with smite right now is mostly not having anyone to play it with.
I also hate the super burst CC chain meta right now. Can they just remove Serqet from the game already? I've already accepted that the MM in this game will probably always be bad so that isn't really an issue with me anymore.

Hmm they sometimes take long. I have to wait like 3-4 days after a tourney until HiRez pays the gems. Normally transactions with Paypal and Paysafe were quite fast.
From my experience with tournies on other games it has always taken forever to get the rewards. Took blizzard a couple of weeks to give me my reward for some random SC tourny a few years back. Took Riot 4 months to finally give me my Triumphant Ryze skin.

Yeah I really dislike that change because it's going to make leashing in conquest 100% mandatory or you will fall behind the other jungler. This mechanic is a straight rip from how the leashing is done in LoL. I really like how leashing is not mandatory in Smite or it's a team commitment to kill the furies or the level 1 buff at the start. Now you are going to start seeing mids auto once and walk away and get free exp with no effort.

Yep thats what I was meaning lol. Honestly I don't think it will be the worst change ever, just easy to invade which lets me want this change less in joust since it's so invade and contest heavy. people already split exp as much as possible. That is what makes me dislike items like Watchers Gift and Bumbas. They encourage to just afk farm, sit next to stuff and get free exp.

Beads and even magi's has needed an extremely severe nerf for a very long time now. Those items are so broken that newer stuff (even older gods) is pretty much balanced around the fact those items exist in the game so you can't just nerf them without adjusting about a dozen other Gods. It's one of those things that is "oh it will be fine since we have beads to deal with it" kind of problem.
Also as I mentioned previously and still is a recurring problem is beads should not in any circumstance render any God 100% useless or nullify a significant portion of their kit.. This doesn't apply to many gods but it's still there.

Yeah ping in this game is very important since pretty much everything is a skill shot.
US server is on the east coast somewhere so it's going to be brutal for Asians and Australians.
My primary duo queue buddy is from Singapore and his average ping was around 280+ which made the game incredibly frustrating for him after awhile until he quit.

Well lately, since I'm not at home rip ping aswell :/ I accidently queued Australia once and played a Conquest match at 600 ping, was a lot of fun.
Most people I know just play easy gods when they have high ping (Bastet, Nu Wa, He Bo, Kulkulkan, Mages in general) instead Hunters, Chronos etc.

I just checked for Fenrir. 370 base post and pre patch.
It felt really slow in one game because this Thor was able to easily out run me even when I used sprint. We had the same movespeed as well.

Anyways I am really not liking the removal of the physical CDR boots. Was a core item in my tank Fenrir build. Having 40% CDR with just boots and Jotuns was really freakin good on him. Now I have to get a stacked ancile which is really not very optimal for support. =\

Supports get hardly any gold and xp now.
Despite getting my carry really fed and rotating mid (because he really needed the help) I barely got anything from all that. Role is ridiculously unrewarding to play now. =\
Also I have no idea what to even build on support Fenrir anymore. CDR boots are gone, Death's toll seems less superior to Bluestone Pendant in every way and Sovereignty got nerfed.
I don't get why they would take one of the hardest roles to play properly in this game and make it ridiculously worse and super unrewarding. RIP my support days I guess.
