For skins who previously used new skin behaviour, version must be 2.0 and not 2. OP is misleading. (At least it didn't work for me '_>' )
Your osu! skin may be version 2 but your taiko elements are not, The taiko skin change was to allow for future skinning to be easier.Elzapatoverde wrote:

And yes, I'm using the "Version: 2". Should I just move the "taiko-drum-inner/outer.png" or you will fix this?
You have the wrong version being used on your skin it should be version 2...bbshksh wrote:

Will we ever be able to skin the color of play-warningarrow? Currently osu! makes it so that no matter what the arrows get a red overlay which isn't optimal since I'd really like to make mine blue. Googling this lead me to see that in 2 separate posts you acknowledged this, once by saying that this will be resolved in the next release and the second you said this correct behavior and to avoid it we should de-select "prefer new skin...", unfortunately that second post's solution never worked and now the option is gone.
What should we do if we want to skin the color of the warning arrows, or are you adamant about the red overlay?

You will need to use/create elements that are for version 1.
I have the same problem.CarlGel wrote:

Not sure where I should go from there.

You have this skin in a folder named as "User". It will always force the latest Version on this folder, ignoring your set Version number.Tr1cky wrote:

Just rename your folder to something else like "Life (Edit)" or User2"

The only problems I can find are the health bar not lining up properly with it's background, and the sound of the taiko spinner decreasing in pitch and not increasing. I'll just set the version to 2.1.RBRat3 wrote:

You'd have to point me to a copy of your skin and a shot showing the misalignment.codejunkie wrote:

This sounds like your mixing element versions or the skin isn't "whole" which is a no no... I assume your taiko skin is missing some playfield elements which it's choosing to use the new versions instead. If you are using version 1 elements then you will need to populate version 1 taiko elements for example ones found in the old default template or the taiko skin made by luigihann and many other existing skins.Legxis wrote:

I actually did something different. I changed score-marker into scorebar-ki, kidanger, and kidanger2, and it fixed both of my problems.MLGnom wrote:

if you want, you can just use the "spinner-top.png" file as the only spinner image (I mean the spinner-bottom.png is just blank then just edit the spinner-top.png file and I'm sorry that i can't help with the spinner-meter fileaaragun21 wrote:

Ok, i need help. Since the last few updates my skin breaks more and more, now the song selection became unreadable too.
No matter of using Version 1 or 2, my song selection menu text is missalinged and nearly unreadable and the taiko elements missalinged. In version 2 my spinner dissapears and gets replaced by the default one.
EDIT; On that note, there a few unskinable ui things broken too.
it could be. at skin.ini, set "Version" to "Version: 2.0" then you can use the old spinner image as "spinner-top.png" and just blank the pixels of "spinner bottom.png".(as I said this already...I just wanted to do step-by-step) if you don't want the spinner appearing with double white frames, you can just erase all pixels of the "spinner-middle.png"(I DON'T mean to delete the file or it will still show up if you do) and use the old ranking screen files such as the graph, the "perfect", the score bar and anything that appears on the ranking screen. (just let me know if this answers your question or not... I may not be right sometimes :/ )Nerova Riuz GX wrote:

They said that we need to edit the Skin.ini for fix it. And you can get the actual Skin.ini of the Osu Default Skin Template. (The link that I've copied)Granger wrote:

Now, any tips on how to fix the problems?
Im not a skinner and i know only basic image editing... any options i can change besides the version which didnt do anything but break the spinner too?
I'm having this problem too. I have six skins and changed all of them to "Version: latest." Half of them work perfectly; the other three have default spinners. I tried changing it to "Version: 2" and got the same result except the beatmap selection page doesn't display correctly. Changing it to "Version: 1" obviously fixes the spinners, but then the beatmap selection page has issues.[Kris] wrote:

Rename spinner-circle to spinner-top (or spinner-bottom), other things like spinner-metre and background won't work anymore on v2, unfortunately (It would be nice if there are some way to work around this matter).-[Kirito]- wrote:

A work around for this is rename to spinner-top and use a transparent image to spinner-bottom (or duplicate the spinner-circle and rename one to spinner-top and other to spinner-bottom).-[Kirito]- wrote:

If you notice, the song alignments are jagged anyway, and the smooth curve is noticable because the panels are solid, and not partially invisible like on your other skin. The star image has also changed, so you'll have to fill them in from the old template if you want them to go back.
