This might come as a shock to you, BD, but some people see osu as a video game and not as a jukebox and actually play for gameplay and not for listening to random songs they don't even like.Blue Dragon wrote:
What I see from 2013 stereotypical players: Like playing only the most insane stuff. Calm maps are just boring and shouldn't be played.
It's incredibly insulting for many mappers that you staple "high difficulty" as "lack of quality" (but at the same time you call shotgun symphony a good map? what.) when mappers this days strive to make high difficulty maps of a high quality as much as possible to make them enjoyable for the players who want to play high difficulty maps.
wow, so you enjoy playing easy maps. that's nice and all, but some people like challenging themselves and they don't play this game to listen to music, they already have winamp/foobar for that. You're very arrogant to think that you're the only one who's allowed to decide what are people allowed to have fun with. I don't get WHY or HOW you got the idea that mappers fulfilling the players' desires is a bad thing (isn't it the mapper's goal to create a fun map that people would want to play?) but you have to accept that stuff that is fun for you might be completely boring for somebody else and vica versa.
Had someone else been saying those things I'd understand, but you of all people are being a huge hypocrite for saying nonsense like this.
