Sorry for kind of late reply, it's like a page behind now x_x
Thanks for modding! fixed all I didn't reply (except Complex, I kind of want to spend more time polishing this). I did my best fixing the blankets but they never seem to be perfectLust wrote:
Here is your mod as requested!Beginner
Very clean beginner! Thanks!
- 00:18:695 (1,2,1) - Here, you can use the two slider bodies to blanket (2)! That's what I was trying to do, I think they're blanketed a bit better now
- 00:24:029 (1) - Move the second to last slider point to 336:232 so that it blankets 00:26:029 (2) - better
- 00:37:362 (1) - This slider goes up pretty high, in fact its touching my life meter! It will be best to move this down
- 00:41:362 (2,1,2) - Kind of awkward flow. That curve from the starting slider goes downwards in to (1), and then straight linear flow up to (2)! I would try and put a bit of a curve between (1) and (2) so that it will play better.
- 00:51:195 (1,1) - Two spinners in a row in a beginner difficulty is definitely a no no. Especially since the second spinner is a bit faster than the first. Newer players need to take time to realize what is going on, then to start spinning. Afterwards they will be exhausted. I suggest removing the first spinner and mapping it out. There is a clear rhythm that you can follow in order to map it! Yeah, that's what I thought too, but I really have no idea how to move to that part >.>. The song changes time signature at the red tick right there, so I'll need to put a note 1/2 away from that slider to map a strong beat, which is definitely not beginner friendly considering everything else is 2 white tick apart. If I ignore it, then this strong beat is ignored and feels so empty. I also tried shortening the slider before that, but that also feels empty. Couldn't think of anything else, I decided that having a spinner there is the best solution. I guess combining it to a one giant spinner would be good. I'm open for a way to map this weird beat if you have any solution x_x
- 00:59:193 (1,2) - You can move these down so that (2)'s slider end can stack with 00:58:527 (3) - 's hitburst
01:01:860 (1,2) - Blanket can be improved- 01:04:526 (1,2) - Blanket can be improvedI think these 2 blankets look better now, can't seem to find the perfect spot for them though
- 01:05:860 (2) - Wouldn't it be best if this was stacked with 01:03:193 (2) - 's hitburst? You can move the slider before it over so that it can fit
- 01:23:860 (1) - You had a nice triangle fan shape pattern with the previous objects, so why have this random slider like this? Try and arrange it so it doesn't appear so awkwardly.
Easy
Just needs some cleaning up, the blankets need some work though, so be sure to check through all of them with the approach circles of the objects that are being blanketed! I should start making a map without any blankets
- 00:13:362 (1,2) - (2)'s slider body can better blanket (1)'s slider end
- 00:14:695 (2) - The slider end here doesn't really land on anything and in turn, it sounds really loud! I would use a green line to lower the volume of the hitsound or have the slider end here 00:15:029 -
- 00:21:362 (1,2) - (Nazi) Blanket is only slightly off
- 00:22:695 (3,4) - Blanket can be improved
- 00:23:695 (4,1) - ^
- 00:26:695 (1,2) - ^
- 00:32:695 (2,3) - ^
- 00:39:695 (3,1) - ^
- 00:44:029 (3,1) - Ah, it would be best for (3) to perfectly blanket (1). The way it is now does not look so good.
- 00:46:695 (4) - Curve this slider more so that its slider body better blankets 00:46:029 (3) - 's slider body Someone teach me how to blanket slider bodies
- 01:07:193 (1) - 387:69 so that it is being pefectly stacked underneath 01:05:860 (4) - 's hitburst
- 01:21:026 (3,3) - This is very confusing. The entirety of the second slider is being covered by the first! That is very hard to read, especially for an easy difficulty with a lower AR Hmm, the slider doesn't appear until the first one disappeared even on the editor which seems like they have lower AR, but I'll make it more noticeable to be on the safe side
- 01:23:860 (1,3) - Avoid the overlap with the hitburst. Try having (3)'s slider end stack with (1)'s hitburst I remapped this part because the slider wouldn't fit after I moved this whole part from moving the last stacked sliders
Normal
Play wise, there is nothing too wrong here, but overall it seems very messy and cluttered My Normal map = cluttered/high overlaps. I personally don't think it's that messy though o:
- 00:25:529 (4,5) - Check the spacing between these two, they are kind of far
but furthest to the right have plenty of room for you to be on that starting position,
and then the end covers almost half of the next slider. I don't think the jump is that difficult. I don't really want to break that stack.
- 00:25:029 (3,4) - Having (4) jammed up at this corner makes things hard to read and cluttered I tried dropping it down so it's not at the corner anymore, hope that clears up a little bit
- 00:42:195 (5) - 395:234 so that it is stacked perfectly underneath 00:40:862 (3) - 's hitburst
- 00:46:529 (3,4) - Blanket can be improved
- 01:02:360 (2,4) - Try to avoid this overlap
- 01:03:026 (3,4,5,6) - Linear flow like this is boring and unintuitive, and is actually harder to play and read! Try curving the objects in to the direction you want the players to go Like this?
- 01:13:026 (2) - Have this blanket 01:13:693 (3) - for a crisper and prettier pattern
- 01:19:026 (3,1) - I would avoid the small overlap
Complex
Pretty sure /Complex/ is an unrankable diff name, rename to Insane. The main issue here is 3/4 sliders when they should instead be 1/2. If you listen closely, they aren't needed to be 3/4 and turns the play awkward. Lots of 100 sliders will happen. Last issue I have a gripe about is the 1/4 spacing in areas. Its best to keep most 1/4 spacing as consistent as possible, or else it will be hard to read. Make sure to check through the difficulty for such things!
I thought the diff name just has to be clear (like standing/walking/running mapset is okay), and not something like 0108 or Skystar. Beginner/Easy/Normal/Hard/Complex seems like a logical diff name
Yeah, I probably overused the 3/4 a little bit, but I think most of them fits pretty well with the music because the words in vocal sounds like they kind of flow into each other to me (that's what I love about sasakure.UK's Vocaloid songs). I'll go back and remove some that kind of feel stretched myself. I don't think most of the 1/4 jumps are much problem because it's not difficult hitting them because of the slider leniency, and also not hard to read because these 3/4 sliders are supposed to be 1/2 so the next note is easy to tell. I didn't have anybody misread the 1/4 jumps when I asked for testplays.Going to look over the whole difficulty again and fix some things according to these mods
- 00:09:862 (7,1) - The forced blanket here can be improved So many blanket errors I would've never found by myself, how do you find them x_x
- 00:11:195 (2,3) - Blanket can be improved
- 00:20:029 (1,2) - The 1/4 distance here is quite far, and to be honest, shouldn't be 1/4 at all! 00:20:029 (1) - should end at 00:20:195 -
- 00:20:695 (3,4) - Same thing here, (3) should not be a 3/4 slider
- 00:21:362 (1,2) - and here as well
- 00:24:029 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Cool pattern, but again the 3/4 sliders should actually be 1/2s
- 00:27:195 (3,4) - 1/4 distance is again huge, but if you turn (3) to 1/2 slider it will be fine
- 00:27:695 (5,6) - Same 3/4 issue. (5) should become 1/2 slider
- 00:29:362 (1,2) - (1) should be a 1/2 slider
- 00:30:529 (5,6) - 1/4 distance is huge, but then again (5) should be 1/2 slider
- 00:30:862 (6,9) - This is very hard to read and flow is kind of awkward. I kind of like the little pattern I did here, but I guess the flow is awkward . Will change
- 00:39:029 (2) - 96:239 so that its slider end is stacked underneath 00:38:362 (3) - 's hitburst
