Hey lolly,

Your beatmaps are pretty good. But there are 2 major problems in my opinion: Variety and the placing of circles and sliders. And with the placing i mean: In the beatmap i can clearly notice that you didn't know exactly when to set a slider or a circle. It has gotten better through several mods but its not ready for ranked in my opinion.
To explain my point of view more accurately i would like to skype with you. If you cant then PM me.

Nice mapset, good spread of difficulty! In general I think you should try making less empty spaces on your harder difficulties, I only pointed out the ones I thought were most blatant but theres more places you could add to. I know you were mapping the vocal but in these empty times try to follow the drum beat! Dont give up, and best of luck :)

Why did you change the Extra's level, it was good before but then now it's too easy, is it ok if you keep that old one back but call the levle differently? so you can have both maps :). ty

Pretty good map, much better than the other versions of this song. I think Extra is a bit too easy though. Maybe bump up the drain a bit?

and about the thing you say "the more the merrier" is wrong....
a map should not have more than 8 diff (except other modes), so don't add more gd if possible

I'm not going to mod the rest of the difficulties. since i'm good good with easy difficulties.( But from what i see, it looks pretty good. ) Hard difficulty is better mapped than insane. But rmb to apply some things to from insane mod to hard where possible. There is also a NC spam in hard diff from what i see. remove it. it's not necessary.

And about extra.
I think it's better if you delete this difficulty. And if you need reasons, here's why.
  1. Unnecessary Triplets everywhere
  2. Unnecessary Streams everywhere
  3. Sliders that don't fit the music.
This map is also easier without the music. The reason should be pretty obvious.

Checking your OSB files, the following file kill-la-kill-character-wallpaper.jpg is missing from the folder but it's mentioned in the OSB. That aside, your folder have 3 Storyboard files. There should be only one.

The image osubgtaiko.png is not used anywhere.

[General]
The difficulties have different Kiai times. Personally this is not nice for people who can't play all difficulties but want to feel the same intensity of the Kiai mode. I'd like to have similar Kiai times to all difficulties, just a personal opinion.

It would be nice to have the same color set in all difficulties too but this is not so critical. Usually as long as they serve the background well it's fine.

Fix the Audio-lead in to all beatmaps. Should be minimum 2000 ms. If you open the .osu file with notepad you'll find it at the top.

[Easy]
00:19:805 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - You use a lot of claps, keep the claps at the beat, the default claps sound really annoying to such songs. Try to use a custom clap which will make it sound more pleasant if you'd like.
00:29:243 (4,1) - Low AR makes this overlap visible, it's be nice to use another pattern to avoid the overlap. I'll leave it to your own judge. By changing one you shall mind 00:31:940 (2) - as well.
00:35:648 (3,4) - Fix the blanket here.
00:42:052 (3) - I think this gets off the gamefield quite a lot.
00:59:412 (2) - Start this on the next white tick. Downbeat sliders are difficult for new players.

[Normal]
00:54:861 (1) - Just move this one tick to left to avoid the overlap with the previous slider.

wow, this diff is very good for my taste. There are a few mistakes here though and I have some suggestions I'll be happy to help here.
00:07:670 (12) - It'd be better if you start this slider along with vocals in 00:06:322. I think you put this to follow the increasing sound in the background, but as it is barely noticeable, it feels a bit uncomfy to play, you can also end this slider in 00:08:681, where the vocals stop. Alternatively, you can use a spinner with the same length I suggest.
00:20:985 - This will be a large but a simple suggestion, add a don here and do the same in the next similar patterns(00:22:333, 00:23:681, 00:25:030.), this way the katsu notes would emphasize more. If you do, change 00:25:535 (79,80,81) and similar spots (00:26:884 (84,85,86), 00:28:232 (89,90,91), )into katsu, the drums change in tone (idk about musical terms, but I hope you get what I'm trying to say) and katsu notes would fit more here. And maybe keep using this pattern for 00:29:580 (84,85,86,87).
00:35:817 - Add a don here, it'd play nicely and it'll make 00:35:985 (114) feel better.
00:41:209 - Please don't make the change in speed so drastical, if possible remove it, it doesn't feel to comfy ;_;
00:44:580 - Maybe add a don here too, the drums are quite noticeable here.

01:18:372 (378,386) - The whole stream would play better if you remove this.

    00:05:479 (5) - This slider end has no rhythm. Oo I think this could not only confuse the player, but it also changes the rhythm of the song and sounds rather not good. Let the slider end on 00:05:816 - for better rhythm.
    00:06:322 (6) - this slider shouldn't touch 00:05:479 (5). It ugly and plays anything but good. Maybe you should rather try moving it down a bit. For better flow and better looks. Also move the start of this slider to 00:06:153 (6) - because that fits more with the rhythm.
    00:11:715 (1) - This slider gets cutted because it's to out of the screen. Move it to the left. If you want to keep the symmetry, use ctrl + g and change the DS of 2/1 from 1.0 to 1.2. This won't bother the player. If the slider stays out of the screen, your map will be considered unrankable. Ofc you'll have to change the circles that come after this slider as something like colleteral :D

  • 00:11:715 (1,2) - I suggest, you rotate this part a bit, so you can blanket 00:12:558 (2) - a bit better. This also prevents you from that uninviting overlapp. The outcome would look like this: 00:20:479 (1,2,3) - I think you should either go with the bassline, or the vocals. I'd suggest you go with the vocals, and change the pattern to something a bit more appetizing, like this:00:20:479 - I also suggest, that you go with a DS of 1.3 for this part. I don't think that 1/2's should touch each other like a stream. That's not how it should be like. This isn't a stream. This isn't fast. This shouldn't feel fast. 1/2's are used for jumps and don't cuddle. 1/2's are manly.
    I'll remodd this part, but can't mod if you apply + 1.3 DS for everything. I'll look at your changes and if you changed this part I'll look over it again.
    00:30:592 (1,2,3) - I don't know what rhythm is used at this point. 1/1's are boring to play and they don't make sense at this part. Try something like this: 00:34:637 (3,4,5) - stack this properly for better looks, please. This would really improve the outcome.

  • 00:12:221 (4) - Think about going to the left with the slider for better flow. You change the direction at this part and it goes smoother if you change it slowly. And only 1 time instead of two. It would look somehow like this:00:13:063 (5,6,8) - this pattern looks boring and also plays boring. The flow isn't the best and it feels unoriginal. Try changing this with rotating 5 to the right. This would improve your flow and make a good-looking pattern. You'd also have something that's not only straight. Straight isn't bad but sometimes not appropriate.
    00:16:434 (6,7) - copy and paste 6 and then use ctrl + g to make a perfect pattern.
    00:25:198 (1) - as i said in the other diff before. I highly recommend to use a higher DS. The sliders get slower, this is true but the spacing could stay the same. It's just somehow off. 1/2's with a bpm of 175 don't need to look look like streams.
    00:40:198 (5,6,7,8) - this stack feels unneeded and isn't that useful. Try making a pattern. It doesn't need to be a square but something nice wouldn't be bad.
    00:53:344 (6,7,8,9) - how about using 2 sliders instead of 4 circles? The vocals don't end that fast and the circles can't convey the length of the singers voice. You should use sliders to emphasize the voice.

haha :lol: yeah i know what rhythm means, i just didn't get it in osu terms.

as i thought you just had to keep to beat, and if BPM is right, the white and red ticks mostly with the beat, so thought you can put on any of them.
of course taking into account vocals, band upbeat and offbeat. I just probably switch a lot i guess. :3

That's the problem. You shouldn't just suddenly switch the beat. Try to stay with one for some time, other things get confusing. The maps should be intuitive.
