Hmm~

[General]

  1. Your hitsounds seem too quite imo. I suggest raising the volume by 10-20% for all timing sections.

  2. From 00:31:275 to 00:58:317 and during your kiai times, I suggest using the normal default finish instead of the soft finish. I think it fits much nicer with the music during those sections where it's louder and the bass is more active.

  3. I don't think the default soft cap fits very well...You could try to use a custom clap that might fit better with the song. Try this one: http://puu.sh/2F7Vs.wav
    All you have to do is put that in the song folder, and then change all of your timing sections to soft sample set custom 1, or SC:1.
    Also remember you can find lots of hitsounds here: t/15407
    If you feel adventurous in the future, you can try and find some custom hitsounds that fit your song really nicely.

  4. Lots of your combo patterns in the two easier diffs feel strange. Try to make the patterns in each diff the same. Check the hard diff and see where you are placing new combos, and then check the other diffs and see if they coincide for the most part. It would be nice to have new combos starting when the music has a strong downbeat.
[Advanced]

  1. 00:19:444 (1,2) - The blanket really doesn't look very nice. Try to make the 1 more curved so that the 2 can rest perfectly inside of it while maintaining distance snap.

  2. 00:27:050 (3) - Try using CTRL+G on this slider. I think it makes a little nicer flow than what you have.

  3. 00:28:106 (1) - I really suggest ending this spinner at 00:30:430 and starting the section with a slider there like you do in the Average diff. When you have this powerful downbeat that starts the section at 00:31:275 be on the end of the spinner, it takes a lot of power away from your beatmap and the player cannot appreciate how it's representing the song. It feels much more powerful to smash a slider with a finish on the head at that point to start the phrase off.

  4. 00:44:796 (1) - This slider is really unfitting. I suggest trying a more defined shape, like the ones you used in the other diffs. The one used in the Average diff is quite nice, try to make a similar shape here instead of this slider.

  5. 00:58:105 (8) - This feels overmapped because the hits in the music stop right here. For that reason it would be better to have a slider at 00:57:895. Try having a 1/2 slider there and then a jump to the 00:58:317 (1). So this rhythm:

    Keep in mind that you don't have to stick strictly with your 1.1 distance snap here. This would be the perfect spot to add some nice jumps.
    Just a sample placement that I found to be pretty nice:

    It's just an example, please create a placement that fits with your own style and intentions.

  6. 00:58:529 - This timing section isn't doing anything because there is a break, you might as well remove it.

  7. 01:19:444 (4,5) - To me it feels a bit nicer if you extend the 4 to end at 01:20:078. That fits nicely with the melody in the song and is a similar rhythm that you've used thus far like at 01:16:910 (4,5).

  8. 01:32:120 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,1,2,3) - Honestly you can do something much more exciting in this section. Add some jumps. Consider increasing spacing at intervals throughout the section leading up to the finish at 01:37:191. Maybe have an increase at 01:33:810 and 01:35:500 and then a jump to the 01:36:345 (3). Also I suggest having all sliders until 01:35:500 because that's actually what the music is calling for. So here's a sample rhythm and simple placement idea to get you started.


    Please don't just copy that example. It's just to show you what might work well here. As you can see the 01:36:345 (1) is right in the center of the grid and we have these jumping patterns around it before we hit it. That makes for a much more intense transition, just like what's happening in the song.

  9. 01:36:345 (1) - To me it sounds much nicer if you remove the finishes from the head and from the middle repeat and to just have them be normal hits. Then add a soft finish on the very end of the slider. That means we have all normal hits in the section leading up to this epic lone finish at the end. Try it, it sounds very nice. If you do so here, then do so in the rest of the diffs also.

  10. 01:52:402 (1,2,3) - Try to make a rhythm that follows what the music is doing more closely. The music calls for a repeating slider here. Try to use one like this:

  11. 02:05:923 (1,2,3,4) - A bit dull for the hardest difficulty. Try using a larger spacing here.
[Average]

  1. 00:23:247 (2) - Imo, it seems that a simple curve would be better than the sharp jointed slider. It would match the 00:21:979 (3) better. Try it:

  2. 00:40:571 (1,2,3,4,5) - Try to make a more smooth curve that leads into the 5. Right now we come into the 4 at a sharper angle and it breaks flow imo.

  3. 00:44:796 (1) - It might be nice to have this centered on the grid. Try having the 00:43:106 (1,2,3) curve into it and have it centered:

  4. 00:58:529 - Useless timing section, go ahead and remove it.

  5. 01:19:444 (1,2,3,4,5) - Just a minor flow/placement suggestion:

    Have a slightly more interesting flow between the 01:19:444 (1,2,3). Also it flows nicer to have the 01:21:979 (5) pointed downwards as shown because you continue the downward flow from the 01:21:557 (4) and have it reset with the repeat on the 5 so that the player can then move to the right.

  6. 01:49:867 (3,1,2,3,1,2) - The rhythm was kind of hard to follow. The reason is because you have a lot of upbeat sliders here with their ends landing on downbeats. I suggest trying to avoid that for the most part. When you repeat it like this, you can end up with a confusing rhythm. Here's my suggestion for a different rhythm:

    01:49:444 (2) to 01:54:514 (4)
    This way you have objects to hit on the downbeats where important new ideas are starting in the music.

  7. 02:06:768 (1,2,3,1) - I suggest placing them in a nice triangle pattern that's centered on the grid instead like you do in the hard diff:

    With the 02:09:303 (1) stacked on the head of the 02:06:768 (1).
[Beginner]

  1. 00:44:796 (4) - Try to make this slider stand out a bit more like it does in the other diffs. Maybe add another red anchor on the right side.

  2. 00:58:529 - This timing section here isn't doing anything because you have a break there, so you might as well remove it.

  3. 01:06:768 (1) - I suggest remove the NC from the 1 here and add it to the 01:08:458 (2) instead to even out the combo pattern here. The 01:05:078 (1,2) is too short of a combo imo.

  4. 01:19:022 (4,5,1) - The rhythm isn't fitting the song very well imo. Try moving the 5 to 01:20:289. Also I suggest a NC on the 01:19:022 (4) and to remove the NC from 01:21:134 (1) and add it to the 01:22:824 (3).

    01:19:022 (1) to 01:24:514 (3)

All fixed except some minor things, and some things in General. This includes me not using a custom hitsound or changing it to Normal during kiai time. I'll see what others say, though.
Gonna work on the new combos thing later.

EDIT: I just realized I wasn't clear on what "back" and "forward" meant with relation to moving sliders/notes back and forth on the timeline (and I dont think I was consistent at all when I used those terms), so instead I've edited everything to just be "right" or "left" on the timeline

The following suggestions will try to make it consistent. If you don't want to add all the 1/2 patterns, then you can ignore the following ~ but in that case, I'd suggest taking the pattern out altogether, again, for consistency.

  1. 00:15:641 (2) - This note would flow much better if you place it down instead of up. Over here, please try it! you'll notice the flow is better.
  2. 00:19:444 (3) - Similar as above. This would flow better (speciallywit h 00:21:134 (1)) if you change the curve like this:
  3. 00:24:937 (2) - This hitfinish sounds too noisy, redundant, unnecessary imo. Please consider removing it. This part would sound much better without it.
  4. 00:39:303 (2,3) - These notes look oddly placed imo. I think you can try something smoother, like this:
  5. 00:43:106 (2) - Again, for better flow please consider flipping this slider horizontally so the curve flows better with the rest of notes.

To follow it properly, you should add nc to 01:15:219 (6), remove nc of 01:16:064 (1), add nc to 01:18:598 (1), remove nc of 01:19:444 (1), remove nc of 01:23:669 (1), 01:27:050 (3), 01:30:430 (1).

  1. 00:41:416 (1,2) - The jump here isn't bad imo. The problem is the way this curve is like. It ruins the flow. For better flow you should make the curve more like this. It will feel good to click 00:42:050 (2) after because this new curve goes to that direction. Sorry if I'm bad explaining, I'll leave you a screenshot so you can understand what I'm trying to say:
  2. 00:43:740 (2,3,4) - Why is this triplet over here? It doesn't flow good! Please move it over here for a better flow.
  3. 00:53:458 (2,3,4) - Similar ^. If this triplet is curved down it flows better with 00:53:881 (5) and that's better imo.
  4. 01:35:503 (1,2) - These two notes aren't snapped. Please fix this.
  5. 01:41:416 (6,7) - This flows very bad. Look at it closely. You made a forced jump just for a blanket 01:42:050 (7). Try to focus more in flow rather than in aesthetics. IN this case, you can stick with distance snap and it will play much better. This is a Hard difficulty, you don't need to force unnecessary jumps! :P
  6. 01:43:106 (3) - And here, this curve would flow much better if it's like this instead of the current way (flipped vertically). I'm reffering to this:
  7. 01:47:331 (1) - Same thing about forced jumps. This plays bad specially because it's on the opposite direction of 01:46:698 (5). Please consider trying something with better flow here. If you want make a jump with this note (1), but do it in a way that flows better. :oops:
  8. 01:49:444 (3) - ^ In this case, it would be much better to ctrl+G this slider. Unnecessary forced jumps are unwanted~
  9. 02:02:543 (1,2) - Here the flow is a bit screwed up imo. These sliders dont flow good with 02:03:388 (3) since that note ends up being in the opposite direction as 02:02:965 (2). For better flow and to improve this, try ctrl+G'ing these sliers like this. Changes of direction are good, but only if they're properly used. I think you overused them and that's why it ended up being not good. :(
  10. 02:04:444 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2) - Hmmm a star pattern here doesn't fit with the previous pattern. They flow awkward together imo. Please consider doing this: ctrl+g 02:04:655 (2,3), then 02:04:866 (3,5), and then 02:05:078 (4,5). Muuuch better flow and fun-to play pattern imo. It's more interesting. :)
  11. 02:05:923 (1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5) - The hitfinishes here sound quite loud, consider adding a green line to decrease the volume of them a bit.

    This difficulty has, like I said, forced jumps that ruin the flow and make the difficulty less enjoyable imo. Consider what I wrote above for a overall improved flow. I hope it helps you!

By the way, this isn't one of Stahli's best songs imo! you should try mapping one of his singles. :D
