Normal

00:38:614 (1,2,3) - Note 1 ends earlier than the long tone. Then this tone is splitted into two parts. Maybe repeating slider 1 until the long tone ends and put 3 circles is better.
01:00:365 (1) - This circle is too near to the last slider, I was confused at the first time play.
01:09:066 (4) - Could be considered to put one 1/4 slider at this point, with one circle after the slider.
01:17:537 (1) - A bit more delay after the spinner may be better for a NORMAL.
01:28:299 (4,5) - These two circles are too close, confusing.

Mitsuneko's Hard

Just commenting on the Taiko a bit before looking at the other diffs.

[Taiko]
  1. 01:12:271 - Would feel much more complete if you had a note here. For 01:11:355 (267,268,269,270,271,272) - , try kkdkddk.
  2. 01:27:383 (332,333,334) - You're following vocals too closely here. There's an interesting rhythm in the background you're neglecting. You should map to that instead.
  3. 01:33:107 (351) - Great place for those leading 1/4s here since it's actually audible. Try a k at 01:32:992 - .
  4. 01:36:770 (365) - Same as the immediate above.
  5. 01:55:774 (1,1) - These two objects should be swapped. Spinner should last until 02:05:162 - or other appropriate time.
I like the use of your k objects in the beginning very much.

  3. 00:51:893 (3) - Same with this, and 00:53:496 (2) - this, and 01:37:686 (1,5) - these. There's nothing in the music that hints that there is something to be followed at the 1/4 you end on.
  4. 01:22:575 (5,6,1,2,3,4,1) - Not particularly liking the angles formed by these objects, mainly (5,6,1). Also try keeping smaller spacing with (5,6,1), and don't increase it until (1,2). That is, the first jump should be between (1,2) and not (6,1).
  5. 01:59:896 (1,2,3,4,5) - Don't turn a good diff into a "watch the approach circle" game. You're better off just starting the spinner earlier.
[Hard]
  1. 00:32:203 (4) - A rounder, more symmetric slider would be more pleasant.
  2. 00:37:240 (3) - I don't feel it's an appropriate place to just copy 00:35:866 (1) - .
  3. 00:47:772 (7) - Space.
  4. 00:57:160 (5) - Slider is an inappropriate length, since kickback is at 00:57:732 - blue.
  5. 01:10:440 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Lacking hitsounds here. Be creative with the soft-hitwhistle.
  6. 01:33:107 - A sort of emptiness here that can be filled in.

  1. 01:04:715 (5) - Wave can be made without the anchor in the centre, and it will appear more smoothly; there is an evident turning point here and it doesn't fit with the rest of your sliders.
  2. 01:18:682 (4,5,6) - Rhythm pattern not so good. You can argue for (4) that there's the bass to be followed, but there should be a slider starting on 01:19:369 - , or a circle if you're going to follow with circles.
  3. 01:22:804 (6,7) - Rhythm pattern not so good. You should swap (5,6) or (5,6,7) for a better rhythm pattern.
[Normal]
  1. 00:51:664 (2,3) - Overlap not so good.
  2. Overall the map makes too much use of straight lines. This is because you have chosen to map with a high note density and small spacing. For example, stuff like 00:48:688 (1,2,3,4,5) - shouldn't even appear. You should be making use of longer sliders and, well, breaks (which you do have because of vocals and not for difficulty reasons).
[Easy]
  1. 00:37:240 (2) - You can make this have a longer arc length and start more toward the top right to get a rounder slider. Example: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/436509
  2. Try to do the above to your sliders which seem a little too curved or too flat.

-> What spacing are you trying to follow? You seem to change spacing back and forth. For easy and normal difficulties on general, your spacing should always be consistent thoughout the music. Now I do understand that there are some exceptions to this rule, but you need to ask yourself why are you changing the spacing instead of just simply changing it because you want to. To double-check for spacing, there are two ways:

1.) Use AIMod/AI BAT!
2.) Use the spacing loacated at the top-right of the editor! You will see something like Prev: 1.05x and Next: 1.30x
. This tells you the exact spacing between the previous note and the next note. This method is called manual spacing!


00:01:979 (2,3) - Nazi Mod: Blanklet this a little better. Like this (see code under the photo):

00:35:179 (3,4) - Try swtiching the slider and circle around. The notes could match the music better if you make 00:35:179 (3) a 1/1 slider instead and add a circle at 00:35:866 (4) stacking that circle with the slider end. Similar to what you did at 00:30:371 (1,2,3,4).
00:37:240 (6) - Hmm... I would suggest adding a circle here to emphasize the piano chords. If you prefer, you can also try adding a reverse arrow on the slider at 00:36:782 (5) instead.
00:38:614 (1,2,3) - Strange spacing here. Re-arrange the notes a bit.
00:49:833 (5,6) - Spacing.

I'll stop modding this difficulty from here. A few spacing inconsistencies here, but not as bad as the easy difficulty. Also, I don't prefer using 0.8x spacing just saying!

00:51:893 (1) - If fix above, add a whistle at this slider head. Also add the whistles to the following slider heads: 00:52:580 (2), 00:53:725 (5), 00:54:412 (1), and 00:55:099 (2).
00:56:244 (5) - Silmliar to above, but add whistle at both the start and the end of this slider. (If fixed above of course)
01:18:911 (5) - Add a clap at the beginning of slider to match the drums.
01:19:827 (7) - Also, add a clap here to match the drums. Or better yet, add both the clap and the whistle since you can hear a high-pitched melody in this part. This helps emphasize this effect.

01:23:490 (7) - Similar to 01:19:827 (7), you can hear a higher pitch here. Try adding both the clap and the whistle at the beginning and the end of this slider, but not at the reverse arrow. Only add whistle for the reverse arrow.
01:24:864 (2) - Adding a whistle at the beginning of slider doesn;t sound too bad as well. It matches with that high pitched melody.
01:29:672 (2) - Add a clap on this circle, since you can hear a drum here.
01:31:046 (6) - You could try adding a finish (leaving the clap) at the slider head. You can hear a finish here.
01:41:350 (5) - Adding a whistle at the slider head doesn't sound too bad.
01:43:181 (1) - If fixed above, add a whistle at the slider head as well. Also add whistle at 01:45:013 (5) at the beginning.

  2. T_BG.jpg is now unnecessary, please remove it. Also up to you if you want to remove video from Taiko, but I recommend it.

- 00:37:927 (5) - Seems weird to me why you'd just choose to use a rather linear slider all of a sudden.

- 00:53:725 (5) - x:276 y:296, don't mind the minor spacing increase after that, since it's not an issue.

Overall, I can see the effort put into the presentation in map structure. Not everything goes in a plain single direction like it's spoon-feeding the player.

Anyway, from here on it's just looking and touching up on parts that don't seem to convey a clear alignment to the song, such as at:

- 01:21:201 (1,2,3,4,5) - Advised to remake the slider and tweak the positioning.

Here's what I have in mind:
Hope I'm not putting any unwanted pressure on you here, but mapping is a progressive thing and sometimes things are not apparent now, but will be in the future when you've gained more experience.

Hard:

Don't have any problem with this.
I think even if you're relatively new to mapping and there isn't so much of 'unique' mapping elements/techniques in this, the current flow reflects quite well on the light-heartedness of the song.

It's rather basic, but has the right components and the rhythm is on good foundation.
I think plenty of people will enjoy it as it is.

- 01:38:831 (3) - Here's a suggestion:
On the playfield, it looks something like this:
Sounds pretty good if you ask me, since it 'bumps' nicely to the song.

RLC:

Has the mark of an experienced mapper all over it.
Can very well read your intention.

Get back to me and we can discuss further on anything else that any one of you might have to add.

- Please go to the .osu file and set the bg under [Events] to 0,0,"pause-overlay.jpg",0,70. This will move the bg in Taiko so that it won't look odd.
- I suggest you emove the video in this difficulty.
- Can I also recommend using Normal sampleset here? The d soft hitsound sounds very loud.
- 00:31:974 (114,115,116) - kkk here instead. So you can give emphasis to the vocals.
- 00:37:469 (130,131,132,133,134,135) - I would avoid using two triples here since the music is still calm here. Use 1/2's instead until 00:43:651.
- 01:07:921 (252,253,254,255,256) - kkdkd fits the music better here IMO.
- 01:15:591 ()- Add a d here to match with the music.

[RLC]

Sorry if I was a bit unclear about my explanation on those hitsounds.
What I meant was this:


Adding a clap on the 2nd and 4th white lines and USUALLY a whistle on the 3rd is a crude way of hitsounding.
