I never heard any clan helping the newbies in any game, they mostly lough at them.rockit wrote:
I think clan's in osu! (Taiko, CtB) are good coz------------------>more help for newcomer&beginners; more activity; straight matches are funny!
so...why not?

actually I wasn't talking about mmo's. I don't play mmo's because I hate grinding.Ekaru wrote:
I've joined clans that have helped newcomers in freaking Nexon games.
We're talking MapleStory here. Yes, those kinds of clans are in MapleStory. Also, DFO and other games that are known to have stupidity everywhere (DFO is a fun game BTW).
In other words, I agree with Nakata here. There are plenty of clans/guilds that help newer players in many MMOs. osu! has some helpful people on it so there would most likely be some of those here too if it was implemented.

To think such a great idea that was suggested over a year ago has no sign of being implemented till this day is very saddening.

I started work on a system that will address the "clans" request, but called it teams. I haven't yet completed or worked on it in over half a year, but it does exist.
Well I'll be damned... I didn't think you'd have started work on something similar. That's quite intriguing. We'll have to see where it goes from here. I'll spend some time tomorrow re-formatting the original post and including that. Seems this has gained 20 stars overnight.peppy wrote:

Most likely it would be limited to only one team...benguin wrote:

I wonder how many people are going to try to call their team thatH_Hitachiin wrote:

Of course, it doesn't make sense for one person to play for two or more competitive teams at once. However, I'm sure many teams, once they get going, would have their own community aspect as well and some people may want to join that team just for the community involvement as opposed to just joining teams based off of statistical advantages to winning games. Perhaps, if users were able to designate which team is their "main" or "playing" team, so that way the user could be on multiple teams but when it comes to mp or other competitive things, they have to play for the team they designated ahead of time as their "main/playing" team. Just a suggestion.Kuro wrote:

If you consider the fact that people may play have to play for both teams if they've joined both it doesn't quiet add up well and is impossible to do in real time... How would you play for two teams that are playing against each other but you've joined both?![]()
An example would be"everyone's favorite" - Abuse of the system
Like:
- Joining all of your friends teams
- Try to join every team with highly skilled people
nope, that's something old.Bass wrote:

Then what happens when their supporter period expires?Akhlis wrote:

Supporters will also have the ability to invite normal users.
And maybe to add the option of a "Open/Closed" Clan, so Teams/Clan will not be spammed by "invitation requests".
Well I have no problem to keep my Supporter tag only for clansPrimula wrote:

I don't feel leading a clan should be limited to supporters, but maybe require:
#1: That you have 5 (or however as many) people signed to your clan in order to create.
And possibly:
#2: The 5 of you have at least a total score of X(1bil?)/PP average of X(2k?).
There could be clan pages which are limited to leaders who have supporter though.
Wow, this would end in like "Pass 'The Quick Brown Fox - THE BIG BLACK [WHO'S AFRAID OF THE BIG BLACK]' to join" everywhere.Blaziken wrote:
