Sorry, but there are enough players in America(even in US itself). This shouldn't be questioned.
I think what you guys mean is: ,,There are plenty of "good" US-Taiko player here." and this reason dosen't count.
If you think it's not like that, I will show you imidiately 10 US players who are active in Taiko.

Find those players. Maybe open a thread for it.

Pretty much this. I find it kind of unfair that some countries manage to get players from another country while some other ones cannot even get 3 active players (We are trying hard to find at least 3 active taiko players in France since everyone left for some reasons or don't want to play)

HashishKabob strictly refuses to ask people like plaird. I revoked the status of US to lack of players. The country has enough players. The lack of skill is no real excuse, since plaird can play decent enough for TWC standards (yet maybe not as good as other inactive ones, but this can't be helped.)

Advertising and convincing some players are also job for staffs(usually manager's since we lacks staffs before the tournament actually starts), but including some players who does not have idea to play at all also disrupts process of tournament.

Actually, HashishKabob refuses to ask any [skilled] taiko players of his own country because of his god-complex. Just saying.

As other people have been mentioning earlier, I can also come up with a list of possible US players that would fit the bill (did anyone think of Makar? I mean, he's been active in this thread and nobody thought of him lol), but you'd have to talk to Hashish because he's stubborn as hell.

You dont need HashishKabob to found a team. If other US players want to participate, they can easily create a team on their own. I probably need to contact some.
Anyone heard of China/Japan/Korea? Do they know about this tournament? Do they discuss? I actually sent PMs to lots of people and I am curious if it worked.

I guess it would be wise if other players/captains went around and did some talking to the people of the Eastern countries; I'm sure there's a few that each person has as friends and/or have encountered through the duration of the previous tournament, if I'm not mistaken.

Hey is there going to be an American team and are there any requirements?

I'm trying to get my friend to join since I think he's very good :D
but I'm not sure what qualifies as "good" in world cup standards...

They stopped taiko/osu!, so id omegaflo, and _Gezo_ doesn't want to join. Also I looked into our ranking but next ones are also afk.

Still no players from Far east Asians, I know there are still some months, but did we properly inform them? Advertising and inviting/recruiting players are also important job in TWC since we have much smaller player pools than osu standard. Any news from the East?

BTW I'm quite impressed with those South American teams, gogo!

I would really like to reserve a spot for Team Finland!!!!

Buuutttttt.....

We only have two confirmed players as of now (Me and ReZero) and it's basically impossible to get any more Finnish players on the team (everyone likes standard or CtB more :'<). However, we are eager to join and are looking for opportunities to form a double nation team.

On the topic of this, I found it kind of weird too and I'll ask around through my (very few)contacts to maybe get a grasp on what's going on.
