It's not a scum tell. It just so happens that they were inactive. Again, see M2: Derekku, nardi, Olinad were all inactive pretty much, but Derekku was the only of the three who was a Mafia. Maybe Derekku was hiding behind that fact; I don't know, but that seems kinda smart.

If you can provide convincing arguments otherwise, e.g. supporting your inactive == scum idea, I still think your vote is pretty baseless.

Unknown Shadow, what actions in particular? To me it seems as if his most major actions are (1) pointing out Jester, and (2) buddying with me. This seems to be Echo's argument against adam too (correct me if I'm wrong).

Unknown Shadow: He seems to be buddying with you, that is part of it, yes. However, he also is doing a lot of wishy-washy voting. Not only that, but he's not really trying to defend himself, and sometimes votes with no reason, or votes following behind someone else.

Derekku seems suspicious to me, but adam seems stupiddr. Refusing to defend yourself is kinda stupid considering you had the chance to throw all the suspicion right back at Strager. If you've got a hax role, we're fucked.

Regarding ending the day to move to Day 2

Saying that someone is scum based on inactivity is WIFOM thinking. In every game I've been in so far, the inactive people have been innocent. I don't think someone with an important role like mafia/aux would be inactive. But who knows, it could be scum this time :<

Lurking is a scumtell because by doing so you're avoiding talking (posting). And by doing that, people can't gather any information or evidence about said people, which means it's virtually impossible to get them lynched for anything except for lurking.

If you guys decide lurking is a null tell, then good luck finding scum. All they would have to do is just not post and you'll never lynch them.

Iono - I don't think it is a definite scumtell since sometimes RL gets in the way and you don't want to make a 1 min post that makes no sense. It's slightly easier to just read and post a reply sometime when free time comes around.

But I feel that DeathxShinigami is bandwagoning on JInxyjem's post. :P

Bandwagoning isn't really a way to tell scum in bigger Mafia games, since there exist roles as Masons, who know certain people which are human. Similar roles can be Siblings and Cults. There might be other, but those are the ones I can name from the top of my head.

This begs the question - are you a mason, sibling, or cult member/leader? I'm sure you one of the above.

If you're mason, then we can find out who we don't need to lynch.
If you're siblings with a mafia member (or you're mafia yourself) then it's not that huge a price to pay, since 1 for 1 is acceptable for town.
If you're a cult member (or the leader), then of course we don't want another third party to win :P

Rather than just "thinking it out thoroughly", why not post your thoughts and both give and gather more information that way instead?

I have an idea to why thepianist is voting himself, but it's close to impossible.

thepianist is probably a Sibling, and seeing we have not killed even ONE mafia (Sound famillar with the other games?), he decided to sacrifice himself to pin down his mafia sibling.

And I'm really basing some of this reasoning towards activity, particularly during the period when the killing happened and moments before (i.e. actions taken).

It doesn't leave me much choices left.

I don't think he is the cop sibling, as he would have given us names of people he checked.

1. Mafia sibling, sacrifice to kill the cop sibling. If killed: Bad
2. Mafia, playing WIFOM. If killed: Good.
3. Cop with wierd sainity. If killed: Neutral, more on Bad
4. A special townie, like Lucidity and Bagelbob. Sucidal to give us information collected over the days.* If killed: Neutral


*If this is the case, I think the special townie earns more info each day phase, that is why Bagel only had 1 information.

This is getting pretty retarded.
The way the roles are makes it extremely hard to actually identify who the Mafia are, whilst they just sit back and send in their kills under the cover of the suicidal roles.
