Big thanks to my bns for sticking with this for the 2 years it took me to finish the set /w double diff and storyboard!
When I was a new mapper, the old map of this is something that grew alongside me, and I kept updating it over and over, trying to improve it. Spoiler: it wasn't all that good. Ofc I knew that, but I still kept doing it, until I finally gave up in late 2020. I always wanted to come back and remap it, but it's such a commitment that I ended up postponing it for years.
It's finished now. For Gensokyo Drift, I tried to preserve as many concepts from the original map as I would make sense. The map is not quite as cohesive as it could be from a mapping perspective; I admit it may have this feeling of a bunch of tv-size maps having been glued together, alas, that's just the nature of songs compilations... Lunatic is designed to be more accessible, but without sacrificing too much rhythmical density. I could see this one becoming a classic marathon map.
