With the lack of new players the general "skill ceiling" keeps rising for each year that goes by and what was considered considered "hard" a few years ago doesn't come close to what's considered "hard" today. In every gamemode, all maps are in general harder than they used to be.OzzyOzrock wrote:
I'm assuming there's literally no reasoning for these map picks being miles more difficult than those in TWC's past.
And yyy's (lepi's) BSPower Explosion added.boat wrote:
All of the maps should have been put into the HR bracket imo :X
Except for the fact there is considerably less skilled players playing this year, no offense to everyone out there.boat wrote:

So, here's a story.
In the US v Poland game, at one point we picked Tabidachi no Shuen or whatever, and we were like 'yeah we can all do well on that song'. So we're in, HR and all, and at 1:30 of the song, a norton pop-up comes up covering my screen. I have not missed yet, and there was no break until way later so I had to play with this pop-up above me. It was like playing with HR + HDx2, I think I missed one 2 notes until around ~2:51 of the song, when I was able to get rid of it, when I realized that it didn't close, rather now, I was out of osu! and on the pop-up, so no hits were registering for that bit.

I know that feel it happens to me so often ;w; but it's the firefox update hahaOzzyOzrock wrote:

Why yes, yes he did. He pretty much fucked up the entire brackets with seedings that make no sense, yay!AnFace wrote:

It's not like it's totally random, I personally think 1vs 4 and 2vs3 would have been better, but this is still totally acceptable.Tasha wrote:

1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 is kinda how seeds work but I'm done arguing this point, it's like beating a dead horse at this point.Nashmun wrote:

Oh, and by the way. There's nothing in the rules stating that 2v3's are not allowed. The only mentions of 3v3 are that it is a 3v3 tournament and that you need 3 players to participate in the tournament (which is under REGISTRATION), and that a match may only be postponed 10 minutes if there is not 3 players on a team. It does not say to disqualify them if they do not have 3 players during the match.
at least include 230+ BPM maps in HR to make it balancedOnosakiHito wrote:
[*]HD: Low BPM maps =>100-130 bpm, what hardly anyone can play
[*]HR: High BPM maps => 190-220 bpm, which is not uncommon to see
