General
In general, I believe the spread gaps are fair and apart. It is hard — if not impossible — to argue that, overall, Existens
is harder than Insane
. That said, there were a few noticeable yet small places where this was not true.
Say, for example:
All in all I don't think this constitutes a problem in the sense of "Must be fixed, or else...". Fact remains that I believe in the examples provided, some concessions could perhaps be made between the difficulties to, at the very least, bring them a bit more inline.
Insane
00:54:406 (54406|2) - Confused about the placement of this note given the lack of the bell sound on the background. Tried removing it to see how it'd flow, and the pause makes it play a little bit more smoothly when contrasted with the music.
01:00:727 (60727|2,60941|0,60941|3) - I liked the idea of using 2x 1/2 jacked notes in 01:00:299 (60299|2,60513|2) for the vocal's repetition. Would've been lovely to see this same idea repeated between 01:00:727 - 01:01:156 as the same idea applies.
02:40:531 (160531|1) - Too early. Should be placed at 02:40:554 earliest.
Similar deal with 02:50:120 (170120|1), should probs be moved to 02:50:141.
The opposite goes for 02:56:799 (176799|1) which should go to 02:56:778 (Same deal in Existens
with 02:56:763 (176763|1))
02:55:263 - Feels too powerful of a stroke as to not to map it. Would personally cave in and add the 1/4 note for the percussion.
Existens
00:18:084 (18084|2) - Maybe I'm being overly pedantic, though this short of a sound does not seem to warrant the 1/2 long note to go along with it. If anything, the percussion hint at 00:18:191 is more noticeable thereon.
02:35:227 (155227|3,155441|3,155656|3,155870|3,156084|3,156299|3,156513|3) - Just wanna make sure this anchor is indeed intentional. Otherwise, perhaps balancing it would be a bit better.
02:43:156 (163156|0) - As opposed to the previous anchor, this one is following the bells' repetition quite well. At least up to 02:42:299 (162299|0,162513|0,162727|0,162941|0). The same sound then plays at 02:43:227, and yet that note is not present in the same column, but rather 02:43:227 (163227|2).
Would it be too awkward to rearrange 02:43:156 (163156|0,163227|2,163299|1,163370|2) as to allow 02:43:227 (163227|2) to be in column 1 and, thus, better following the anchor's rhythm?

General:
Kiais
Would suggest adding Kiais for the main chorus of the song, for those few players who like eyecandy in their maps. Best places to put them in I'd reckon are:
Could also argue some segments in the ending could warrant being Kiai'd as well, but for now I'd say these are the best places to highlight.
Synthwave Rift:
01:09:072 (69072|1,69072|0,69072|3) - Felt weird playing, having a triple here when an audible kick was missing as opposed to 01:08:822, 01:08:906, or 01:09:156. If you want to keep it for the synth, I'd probably compromise with a double as to not lose all impact. But the current triple made it feel misleading.
01:16:406 (76406|1) - Feels odd extending this sound when its audible end is at 01:16:489. The extra space may allow you to be bolder with the representation of the growl, currently being expressed by 01:16:489 (76489|4,76489|6,76531|3,76572|2). But the current long note only makes hitting 01:16:531 (76531|3,76572|2,76656|0) as a left handed player a bit awkward without any added benefit IMO.
01:29:656 (89656|4,89739|3,89739|6,89822|5,89906|4,89989|3,89989|6,90072|4,90156|3,90156|5,90239|6,90239|4) - While it is true a potential solution to the right hand bias would be to use mirror mode, this would still be rather tricky for those wishing to play the normal version with their right thumb. As opposed to the left hand component of this section, this trilly (almost inverse bracket-like) part is going to spell doom for said players.
01:56:572 (116572|2) vs. 01:55:906 (115906|3) - I'm a bit curious on why sometimes the note prior to a 3 note chord was extended past said chord, and others simplified as a single. Wanted to assume it's for contrasting purposes, but even then the tone is going up for 01:56:572 rather than up, which would justify keeping the LN trend going.
Stylistic choice I imagine, though I'd try making the idea a bit more obvious.
01:58:531 - Noticed it while playing, but I'd suggest adding a note here for the extra piano sound. Probably moving one 1/8 up from 01:58:489 (118489|5,118489|6,118489|3) would do the trick.
There are a couple other places where adding these notes would be a bit more complicated, like 02:00:781. And while I think it'd be fancy to see those details, keep in mind implementing it can make gameplay feel a tad different from the current simplification. So those ones are up to you.
01:59:989 (119989|3) - Should remain as a single note? I doubt the cymbal alone has enough power in this section's context, especially when the piano is given the priority here.
02:00:822 to 02:00:989 - Would strongly encourage restructuring this part as to allow the 1/6 piano to be mapped. Feel like the current simplification to 1/4 is a bit too simple of a representation, and considering these are the piano's actual sounds it'd be a more proper adjustment.
Also applies to 02:01:322 - 02:01:489 which doesn't have a 1/2 note to make up for it either.
02:11:989 - 02:12:322 - Not properly snapped. The first piano strokes at 02:12:072 and the second one on 02:12:197 as it's following a 3/8th rhythm for a reason unbeknownst to me. Fairly simple fix as you only need to adjust the heads and tails of 02:11:989 (131989|2,132100|4,132100|1,132211|3,132211|0).
02:47:197 (167197|3,167239|2,167281|1) - I understand the stream for the synth's growl in 02:47:031 (167031|2,167072|4,167114|5), though I cannot grasp what the next beat was going after. Would suggest continuing the chordstream at 02:47:156, unless there's something to back that stream up as I don't currently see it in the current context.
03:02:906 (182906|3,182906|1) - This part goes 1/6. Was this overlooked or simply simplified to 1/4 for gameplay's purposes?
Conclusion
Fun map made for a fun song for a fun tournament. Not much else to add.

That's it, only issue was the Album being used as a source. Good luck on the polls.
Heyo. The Loved polls are gonna close soon. Before this can get Loved though, it'd be cool to add Electronic Instrumental
to the description just to keep tag parity between the web and the client. Everything else is good to go!

Oh don't get me wrong, it's a suggestion as I don't think it's that big of a deal. Will close seeing both mappers would prefer to keep it as is.
This is probably fine. I get the wordplay and the coincidence that the character's name is the same as the mapper's. But considering the song's context and how Seiran usually goes by another name for Guest Difficulties, it is fair to assume the point of the possessive isn't to refer to the mapper themselves but rather the character in question.
Closing as this is intended behaviour. Answers above should provide enough insight as to why this is the case.
There is definitely two 1/6 sounds for the piano in those timestamps, before and after 02:00:906 (120906|4) respectively. Albeit faint.
If you do keep it as is though, I'd still consider adding a note in 02:01:406 to be consistent with 02:00:906 (120906|4). Both are following the same piano afterall.
While anyone is free to throw it in CR, imo as a moderator this really does not seem to be infringing any clauses in the VCC. Additionally these are swimsuits, so I'd argue the posing nor the clothing is inappropriate enough to call for a removal.
When asking oneself whether a background is appropriate (especially when making a mod about it) please provide which rule from the Visual content considerarions article as these are the rules that all visual media must follow. Content isnt removed on a whim afterall.
For the record:
Drater's HARD
and GOODBYE
far too big to ignore. The current longjacks (particularly 02:37:806) are unfitting for an Insane difficulty. Moreover, the gap created with the previous difficulty is unreasonably big in no small part because of the top diff's reliance on long and straining jackhammers.Neither the NAT, the BN group, nor another user can force a background or a piece of media from getting removed from a beatmap. This should all be handled via a DMCA claim from the original artist, and the only people allowed to enforce it in the platform are those with access to such claims.
The only exception is for explicitly disallowed tracks/artists from being ranked, as that's enforceable with the current RC.
Hope that clears things up.
There's no rule against "flooding" (in the vaguest of senses) the tags field. The golden rule is that tags must be related to the beatmap/song in some way, shape, or form while not being misleading. Don't think that rule is being broken here, plus this is mostly harmless. Doesn't translate well to mobile, but oh well.
