We're currently in the process of hitsounding this map. We will continue to promote the map once we update the mapset with hitsounds. Please redownload when the hitsounds are uploaded.
If you have no priority preference in modding diffs, please mod guest diffs over my diffs first.
All of my GD mappers are within two hours of my time zone. If there are updates after applying mods to any diffs, they should be uploaded almost immediately after the mapper responds.
Don't post about me not muting sliderends on certain difficulties here. I mute the sliderends manually on each diff because each diff has different rhythms and kickslider usage. Post in the respective diffs if a sliderend is not muted when it should be, and vice versa.
Most of your 1/2 stacks are perfect overlaps, up until this point 01:16:778 (2,3). You then use slightly offset overlaps like in this part of the chorus 01:18:898 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - before returning to perfect overlaps from 01:24:115 (1,2,3,4) - onwards. It stands out so much for its inconsistency with the rest of the map, even though it does not affect the gameplay too much.
01:08:300 (9,1) - Consider giving this more spacing, currently you're emphasising these jumps 01:07:811 (6,7,8,9) - which are weaker than the jump that transitions into another phrase of the chorus. It doesn't match the song.
I wish I kept myself more reserved while mapping this, so it would have a chance of being rankable. However, I've given up and just made what it is. I probably won't even make lower diffs lol
The use of kiai and other stylistic effects is subjective. Using it for the highlighted instrumental section in the beginning of the song and the flashes in the chorus that reflect strong notes reflects contemporary usage of such stylistic effects (from what I have observed) and, if not distracting to the core gameplay, is not really an issue to the player.
While I have done my best to ensure that emphasised 1/2 beats are visually different from typical DS 1/1 beats, feel free to point out where else I have overlooked them. For now these two are fine in my opinion.
There should be kick sounds on the two 1/4 beats - I will discuss hitsounding issue with the mapset host
Boy, this got me thinking. When the diff gets updated, let me know whether my solution works for you.
This wasn't a problem on the original version, so it may have been caused by map owner's new MP3/timing
First one is to map to the hi-hat, listening to the vocal structure it also works however. Second one approve as well. +1
I find the spacing emphasis in the current arrangement to make more sense, but I believe that applying CTRL+G to 00:41:048 (4) - will flow better, and it would also work if the spacing of 00:41:571 (1,2) - was reduced slightly. I'll apply this suggestion so let me know.
What would your suggestion be here? The only thing I could think of is mapping to the hi-hat but the other objects aren't either - bear in mind that I made this 4 years ago so I would love to update the style, but at this moment I'm open to suggestions that don't introduce too much rhythm density at this part.
