The Story of This Map
Where do I even begin with this set. Well I guess it's best to start off with what I call the big 3 Nevo maps, Dream Solister, Otsukimi Recital, and Kibou no Uta. Where I learned how to map through Dream Solister and I met people and learned I love mapping through Otsukimi Recital. Kibou no Uta is where I got all my motivation. It's a fun tale, sometime in the summer of 2016 I was on vacation in Bermuda with a little laptop that ran the editor with like 20 fps. I was fairly new and I spent a lot of time in #modhelp, one day then BN Kibbleru was asking for people to np their maps since he was bored, I was extremely terrified so I nped it and then waited as he went through each map. After like a hour or so he got to my map and god i remember it so clearly. He was modding it for about 5 minutes and I asked him in pm if it was bad, his reply was yeah saying it lacked structure and rhythm consistency and pointed out a few patterns. I then said thank you! He was confused asking why after he just roasted my map I would thank him. I then proceeded to explain that after so long just the fact a BN looked at my map and gave really helpful feedback was enough to make my overfilled with joy. Ever since then I have had this motivation to just make maps that has lasted and lasted even today. :3c

This map as it is right now is not in its original state it is currently the remapped version I made in July 2017 of which I didn't rank until now since I didn't really want to rank my big three original maps but with me closing in on ranked map 100 I feel it would be perfect to rank it before I hit the milestone.

Also this is technically the oldest things I've mapped ranked since it was made before Yubi Bouenkyou :D

[One Year later]This was my first try ever for rank and I just want new mappers to know that sometimes it's better to move on than stick on the same project. This map is hands down one of the most important maps I have ever mapped and I hope maybe one day I'll remap but who knows.

I want the Rank but I'm fixing small things


Normal - Gentle and slow easy for the new players.
Hard - More jumps and patterns.
Yukihira Style - A bit spread out faster more intricate paterns the way the song is meant to be played.

Overall - Combo colors!

Hard -

Your combos are pretty long, I'm pretty sure you can split up some of the longer ones (14-16 hit combos)

00:16:624 (12) - i'd blanket this

00:39:142 (7,8,9) - awkward flow, and kinda weird to read for this diff

00:44:903 (11,12) - flow here is weird, too spaced I think

01:17:634 (9,10,11) - this part seems overly spaced

Your last combo is 22 long, definitely needs a shortening.

Overall this diff was a lot of fun, I think there was some spacing issues overall (some jumps felt out of place), but it played well and I liked a lot of the patterns.

Yukihara Style -

Same thing with the combos, some of them feel too long.

This diff is very similar to your hard, to the point where its very noticeable (esp. the beginning and end). Why not change the shapes / location a bit to differentiate more? Or was this on purpose?

- Woah, a 2.9 star normal O_o

AR seems low for its difficulty.

TBH I feel like you should rebrand your Hard as a "light insane" or similar and call what you currently have as "normal" hard. It has the specs of a normal, sort of (AR, CS, etc), but the mapping is like a hard difficulty. It's very hard to read because the map elements get clogged up with the low AR and big CS.

It's also hard for me to mod because I don't exactly know what you're going for with the normal...there are jumps in there that definitely do not belong in a normal difficulty. Is it supposed to be hard or normal? If it's supposed to be normal then the map overall is way too hard, but if it's supposed to be harder than you can't really call it normal.

Sorry if that didn't make sense, hope you understood though.

Honestly this whole map just needs to be redone. Combos of +7/8 are unrankable, and having notes overlapped and stacked the way you made it really doesnt play well at all. This goes for the other difficulties as well. When you remap, use distance snap to properly space notes throughout the song to make it more playable. Also, utilize the beatmapping threads for more tips on making a good map.

    01:21:697 (1) - I think from here you can do a fast ending (remove some slider and put cilrcles so you can make them jumps, or only increases the speed of slider an meke that part more fast, this is just my nazi opinion :D )

General:
You can add "tv size" into the tags, is really helpful. Considering this anime you can also tag the content of it into the tags, such as food, shounen, ecchi, etc.


Timing:

You can always improve the music by making specific parts of the song with higher hit sound notes or lower ones. I can make a suggestion, at 00:27:276 - you can make the hitsound lower and rise it at 00:49:150 -

[Yukihara Style]
First, We talk about the hitsound issue.
(1) Whistle : Actually, a whistle is hard to use. It used to be emphasized that you want. If you can't make head nor tail of something, add at every red beats.
(2) Finish : A finish add when you hear the cymbals sound, or when you want to emphasize strongly.
(3) Clap : Especially the clap sound in your map is very irregular. I recommend to you add a clap at every white beat of second and fourth.

Next, I'll teach you about the NC cycle.
A NC is usually added at every downbeats(In the Easy and Normal diff, usually added at every two downbeats). The explain about downbeat is every white beat of first. It looks longer than other white beats. Most mappers add a NC like this. Exceptionally, add it when the song was separate from front part. Another case, add it when you emphasize pattern or note very very strongly.

Your map didn't follow like this, so you must fix two issue that I said above.

■ 00:58:287 (3,4) - Why this spacing is same with front circle? It need to give more distance that the rhythm is longer than other, otherwise it will be rhythm misreading to player.
■ 01:03:410 (1,2,3,4) - It's undermapped. You ignored sound a lot that you must express. Listen once again and remap this part.

You have to study about the patterns refer to other map of good mappers. Your slider usage disturb the flow and also looks not good for visible stability. I think that you make the rhythm on whole song is better than other issue. Yes, you can make better map soon if you study hard to make the nice pattern.

I hope that you fix the NC and the hitsound in whole of your mapset first. It's a lot more neat that way.
Anyway, I hope this mod's kinda useful.. good luck with this!

The difficulty started off nicely, but it went quickly down hill with ill-shapen sliders and piles of overlaps. I didnt mention all of the overlaps / slider flow screwers, so I suggest going through the song yourself and taking my examples to find other places that might not be too clean.

I think one of the issues is the distance snap, and looking through the song again, I am a bit concerned if you even used it at all! (Distance Snap, also known as DS, is the thing that keeps the notes from being the same distance away from eachother). That really should be fixed

00:01:369 - 00:13:912 - ok mostly that section, remove all the claps you added to the sliders 00:01:708 - 00:03:064 (3) - 00:10:522 - this is because as far as I am aware, I thought the pattern was supposed to be claps on every reverse slider but you ruined that pattern with 00:08:488 (5) - and 00:10:522 (9) - . to add on, when coverted to taiko, the claps themselves aren't really that at all consistent since it follows no particular pattern so it's pretty random to just add them for the heck of it. and and to double add on, it's a rather soft part of the song so having loud inconsistent claps come out of nowhere ruins it
00:11:369 (2) - lul just a random whistle coming through, yeah it's totally not like it doesn't follow any patterns and shouldn't be there remove it :dd

If you say that you switched somewhere in between those 2 parts, notice that the whole beginning section's guitar and vocals line up so it's impossible to tell when you switch.
00:20:691 (1) - I think that if you want to emphasize this note you could consider putting it in the middle of the triangles rather than just making a larger jump.
01:08:652 (3,4) - This spacing is twice as large as the beats around it, but the 1/2 gaps are the same. There aren't any big changes in the music either, so you should keep the spacing the same as the other beats around it. Edit: after playing it a few more times I notice there are a lot more other instances of that same spacing thing. I'm not sure why, but it just feels like the one I pointed out is more noticeable and harder to hit.

This map has really good flow. I didn't even need to think to where I put my cursor (except maybe that little spacing problem), it just moved on its own.

the reasoning behind the spacing change is that 01:08:821 (4) - is a louder beat I think the reason it's uncomfortable is because of how its basically in the lowest part of the playfield so it may not feel very normal to hit, I'm going to leave it unless someone else says something about it.
