So I downloaded a skin and go to options and selected it. But it doesn't load!! what should I do? (btw the skin files type is OSK) [Sorry for the dumb question but I'm trying for 1 hour or something]

Same I had a Skin labeled with (osk) and it showed as a basic skin (default)
Pull the osk straight into Osu. If it still doesn't work the skin might only have HD elements, so try changing to larger resolutions.
Thats probably because it was HD only and you are using SD (aka your osu runs at a resolution below 800px height). Just run this programm once and it should work: https://osu.ppy.sh/forum/t/762684MRGYBOYATGM wrote:

You may have the same issue as what I just explained. Also make sure that the skin isn't in a nested folder
