Depends on the complexity of the screenshot. An easy way to decide is to use puush. It is smart with which mode it chooses (jpg or png) on the windows client, and will automatically decide which is best. You can make puush save locally and then use those to upload directly to the wiki, too

This seems a useful link to me, though it gives me the impression that creating extra languages requires the creation of extra wikis? Or I completely misunderstood it - which is very much possible, since English is still my second/third language.

It's not the same page, it's a redirect, you'll see at the top it says (Redirected from PP) or something.

Otherwise, random error or extremely complicated(,hard-to-explain) and classified pp calculation formula?
EDIT: Maybe your current ranking over number of people with ranked score on that difficulty? I recently got 1 pp from that recent beatmap (Normal difficulty) in roughly #~70 out of #450~950. Assuming I am staying at #~70 and the #450~950 gone to #2,000+, my pp may probably increase.
P.S. There is japanese wiki out there.
