Hey, m4m from my queue!

  1. 00:35:235 (16,1) - The spacing change here is a bit drastic, and I find nothing in the song that justifies this sudden change. I find it really uncomfortable to play, so you should reduce it. Same goes for the spacing increases on all the other kiai entrances as well.
  2. 01:08:406 (3,4,5,6) - Minor, but you could change this pattern so that (3) is directly in the centre of this triangle.
  3. 01:12:863 (2,3) - Even though these notes are far apart from each other and probably won't be noticed in gameplay, I think you should still stack these for the sake of having a strong structure.
  4. 01:16:806 (4,5,6) - Likewise, I feel like you should clean this triangle up a bit. It looks lopsided at the moment.
  5. 01:42:177 (6) - The head of this slider is missing a whistle, and which I can notice clearly during gameplay. Therefore I would change the sampleset on this note so it can be heard.
  6. 02:22:292 (1,2,3,4) - These definitely deserve more emphasis so you should space them out more. It'll also help strengthen the contrast even more from the calm section that just passed.
  7. 03:50:063 (1,2,3,4) - Either decrease the spacing of (1,2) or increase the spacing of (3,4); because the sounds that (3,4) is on are a lot stronger and higher pitched, so again you should express this through the map.
  8. 04:24:863 (4,5,6,7,8) - I can hear the sounds you've been mapping to here, but I don't think it's a good idea. This is a really intense part of the song with the loud 1/4 melody overshadowing it, so I don't think leaving 1/2 gaps in the gameplay is a good way to emphasise these. Same goes for 04:26:406 (5,6) - .
  9. 04:28:635 (2,3,4,5) - More on these kinds of rhythms - I just didn't find them as fun to play compared to the patterns and rhythms on the kiai before and after. This is due to a mixture of low spacing and general rhythm awkwardness, so I would find a better way to express all of these.
  10. 04:41:492 (4,5,6,7) - I don't like how you've chosen to completely overlap these sliders, as it'll easily cause players to misread. I would adjust the pattern so that they're not overlapping or partially overlapping, as it'll be much easier for the player to notice the notes. This happens again at 04:52:120 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - .


This is all I have to say. This was a really nice map, I had fun playing it and the flow was on point. I hope to see it ranked, so good luck with this!

This is a really intense part of the song with the loud 1/4 melody overshadowing it, so I don't think leaving 1/2 gaps in the gameplay is a good way to emphasise these. Same goes for 04:26:406 (5,6) - . changed for the first one, the second seems fine imo, as the 1/4 melody behind sounds less overshadowing
  9. 04:28:635 (2,3,4,5) - More on these kinds of rhythms - I just didn't find them as fun to play compared to the patterns and rhythms on the kiai before and after. This is due to a mixture of low spacing and general rhythm awkwardness, so I would find a better way to express all of these. I don't really understand what do you mean, I don't find any other way to express them correctly anyway
  10. 04:41:492 (4,5,6,7) - I don't like how you've chosen to completely overlap these sliders, as it'll easily cause players to misread. I would adjust the pattern so that they're not overlapping or partially overlapping, as it'll be much easier for the player to notice the notes. This happens again at 04:52:120 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - . I think there's enough time to read these except for the first ones, espescially at that AR, so, I moved a bit the first sliders so it don't overlap perfectly to improve readability a bit


This is all I have to say. This was a really nice map, I had fun playing it and the flow was on point. I hope to see it ranked, so good luck with this!

00:09:949 - Could raise volume a bit/add hitsounds for the transition
00:20:063 (5,3) - pa tré bo
00:30:349 (5,6,7) - I think this would flow better if it was placed before 00:30:006 (2,3,4) -
00:43:892 (2,2) - doesn't blanket prefectly but meh, w/e
00:57:606 (1,3,5) - you could maybe try to stack all of these
01:46:292 (6,1) - pa tré bo
02:30:520 (1,2,3) - If you follow the same logic as the previous buildups, this should be identical to 02:29:149 (1,2,3) - , not ctrl+H-ed

T2: map is slightly above 10MB but can't to do much about it without either decreasing the mp3 or the hitsounds' quality. We decided to leave it as it is.

I'm personally really, really, really not a fan of the skipstreams (such as these) as i feel they never actually fit any point in the map, they seem to just be there to add difficulty and look cool. There are a couple spots where they may work, but you never use them there, instead sporadically sprinkling them all over.

It'd take a serious restructuring of the map to change that in any way, so I'm sure you'd rather not do that. Other than that rather unfitting issue, map is alright. Good structure and good patterns, but kind of plain and uninspired. A very good result for a relatively new mapper, mind you, I'm just a crotchety old fuck who's impossible to please. Good luck with your future maps.

about these skipstreams, I guess this is a subjective concern, these are mainly used in the first kiai and a few in the last kiai, because you know, the last kiai is kind of a mix of the 3 previous ones, where there are reasons I believe they fit here because there is some sounds to support it, I also think these streams are not that hard in this case and are not placed randomly just to look cool or something

Anyway, thank you for the short mod even though there are reasons I believe you would not have posted it if someone else than Kurai bubbled this map

The official metadata is obviously 葛西ハーコーズ as artist, I still don't understand why this rule is still a thing, there are no real border to "well-known enough by their own name" this is stupid, would you alter official metadata just because some artist name is more well-known than another?

also take a look at that relatively recent map that got DQed multiples times due to metadata https://osu.ppy.sh/s/556969
sure t+pazolite was more well known than the circle name C.H.S but the official metadata takes over I guess
