Hi there, a rough mod~

Will it be the first ranked mania map of Tia ever?

mod
[General]
  1. Add some tag, like ryo, ED...
  2. You can map the piano instead of having a break time
[Insane]
  1. 00:02:823 - Map this sound
  2. 00:03:802 - You can use short LN for the violin, feels better than using long LN for everything
  3. 00:14:889 (14889|0,14889|3,14889|1) - I can't hear any different from triples, if the extra note is for the violin, 00:15:541 - add for other violins like this one
  4. 00:24:345 - How about add a note for the bell
  5. 00:26:628 - Add a note for the piano
  6. 00:46:845 - ^
  7. 00:48:802 - ^
  8. 00:49:454 - ^
  9. 00:51:410 - ^
  10. 00:52:063 - ^
  11. 01:03:149 - Here's no any sound, change to LN if they are following the vocal
  12. 01:05:432 - Add a note for the piano
  13. I think patterns are wrong balanced in the chorus, better to use triple for the drum+violin than just drum. For example, 01:06:410 - use double here, 01:06:736 - use triple here.
  14. 01:15:867 (75867|2,75948|0) - Ghost notes?
  15. 01:37:063 - to 01:44:236 - add some note for the drum, if it's insane you can make it harder, only LNs feels too simple
  16. 01:51:573 (111573|0) - Move to col 3, bcs the piano pitch is different
  17. 01:56:628 (116628|0) - Continue this LN to 01:57:932 -
  18. Add some note for the stronger kick like 02:00:867 -
  19. 02:04:128 - Add a chord and delete a note from 02:04:291 -
  20. 02:08:367 - I think double is enough for this sound bcs it isn't that strong
  21. 02:39:019 - Add a note
  22. 02:47:986 - Add a chord for the piano
  23. 02:48:639 - Add a note
  24. 02:49:372 - ^
  25. You can map those piano chords like 02:54:182 -
  26. 03:00:215 - Add a note or two
That's all. There's more things that you can map, like some instruments you have ignored, also the outro as well, this is insane so just make it harder~

Good luck with your map, hope will be ranked soon :)

mod
[General]
  1. Add some tag, like ryo, ED... Whoops. Fixed.
  2. You can map the piano instead of having a break time I'm conflicted on this. The break was an artistic choice. I know it's not common in mania but I really feel like it fits. I'll see what other people say before making a final decision.
[Insane]
  1. 00:02:823 - Map this sound done
  2. 00:03:802 - You can use short LN for the violin, feels better than using long LN for everything Not a fan of short LNs
  3. 00:14:889 (14889|0,14889|3,14889|1) - I can't hear any different from triples, if the extra note is for the violin, 00:15:541 - add for other violins like this one They're there to signal the start of each measure. I added in a another hitsound to justify it.
  4. 00:24:345 - How about add a note for the bell Cant hear it?
  5. 00:26:628 - Add a note for the piano that's what the LN is for. If I added in another note, on future mods I'd get people saying "Why did you have doubles for the bass notes but a double here where there is no bass note?
  6. 00:46:845 - ^ done for all these, thanks! didn't even catch them. Added some more that even you missed.
  7. 00:48:802 - ^
  8. 00:49:454 - ^
  9. 00:51:410 - ^
  10. 00:52:063 - ^
  11. 01:03:149 - Here's no any sound, change to LN if they are following the vocal You're objectively correct but I'll leave it as it for playability. Removing it makes the section feel janky and adding an LN removes the intended break.
  12. 01:05:432 - Add a note for the piano Added!
  13. I think patterns are wrong balanced in the chorus, better to use triple for the drum+violin than just drum. For example, 01:06:410 - use double here, 01:06:736 - use triple here. You're right. Shit.
  14. 01:15:867 (75867|2,75948|0) - Ghost notes? Fixed in all the choruses
  15. 01:37:063 - to 01:44:236 - add some note for the drum, if it's insane you can make it harder, only LNs feels too simple
  16. 01:51:573 (111573|0) - Move to col 3, bcs the piano pitch is different done
  17. 01:56:628 (116628|0) - Continue this LN to 01:57:932 - done
  18. Add some note for the stronger kick like 02:00:867 - doesn't sound stronger to me?
  19. 02:04:128 - Add a chord and delete a note from 02:04:291 - done
  20. 02:08:367 - I think double is enough for this sound bcs it isn't that strong done
  21. 02:39:019 - Add a note fixed
  22. 02:47:986 - Add a chord for the piano done
  23. 02:48:639 - Add a note done
  24. 02:49:372 - ^ done
  25. You can map those piano chords like 02:54:182 - I'll just stick to the melody. I like keeping this section consistent throughout all the diffs
  26. 03:00:215 - Add a note or two
That's all. There's more things that you can map, like some instruments you have ignored, also the outro as well, this is insane so just make it harder~

Good luck with your map, hope will be ranked soon :)

Haha it's not from fairy tale and supercell is actually the one who composed it. The BG is from a different show though you're right. But I'm mapping for the song, not the anime! I've never even seen Captain Planet

2017-03-13 00:12 Litharrale: 01:37:063 (97063|0) - these jacks were another modders suggestion but I dont know if it belongs in a diff this low

2017-03-13 00:13 Litharrale: As in the break?

2017-03-13 00:13 Litharrale: Eh, I like it there
2017-03-13 00:13 Litharrale: I could map it, but I think it's ok as is

2017-03-13 00:14 Est-: mania maps usually dont have a break on a part thats mappable

2017-03-13 00:14 Litharrale: Yeah
2017-03-13 00:14 Litharrale: It's on my mind, if I get enough people telling me or a BN, I'll change it
2017-03-13 00:14 Litharrale: dont think its gonna make the map better tho
2017-03-13 00:14 Est-: yt would tbh
2017-03-13 00:14 Est-: it*
2017-03-13 00:14 Est-: anyways
2017-03-13 00:15 Est-: 01:09:026 - https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7554275
2017-03-13 00:16 Est-: you could add doubles on the vocal to emphasize that part
2017-03-13 00:16 Est-: it would add a lot to the game play
2017-03-13 00:16 Litharrale: hmmmm
2017-03-13 00:16 Litharrale: Why those vocals and not the others though?
2017-03-13 00:17 Est-: because the vocals on this part are
2017-03-13 00:17 Est-: uh how to saythat
2017-03-13 00:17 Est-: um

2017-03-13 00:18 Est-: etc
2017-03-13 00:19 Litharrale: Already changed and tested and that actually is really good
2017-03-13 00:19 Litharrale: 01:21:247 (81247|0,81410|1,81573|3) - here as well?

2017-03-13 00:19 Est-: same goes for every kiai
2017-03-13 00:20 Litharrale: yeah I'll change them all
2017-03-13 00:20 Est-: ill look for a few more things but the map is pretty good
2017-03-13 00:21 Litharrale: Worth pushing it for rank you reckon?
2017-03-13 00:21 Est-: hm
2017-03-13 00:21 Est-: to be honest
2017-03-13 00:22 Est-: theres a very low chance it could get ranked in its current state
2017-03-13 00:22 Est-: bUT
2017-03-13 00:22 Est-: with a little more work you could push
2017-03-13 00:23 Litharrale: Alright, I'll get a couple more mods and then a BN check
2017-03-13 00:23 Litharrale: If it's got the potential then I'll keep going
2017-03-13 00:23 Est-: alright
2017-03-13 00:23 Litharrale: Thanks for the mod dude
2017-03-13 00:23 Litharrale: dont forget to post the log
2017-03-13 00:23 Est-: i wont lul
2017-03-13 00:24 Est-: one more thing
2017-03-13 00:24 Est-: 02:07:633 (127633|3,127715|3) -
2017-03-13 00:24 Est-: those really dont fit in a 3* map imo
2017-03-13 00:25 Est-: the 1/2 ones are fine but 1/4 is a bit too much

also, you might want to request a mod from MEGAtive. He would really help you. :>

Weber
le mod from testplay

Hard

00:23:693 (23693|3,23693|2) - I feel like this would play a little better if it was only one note, try this: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7554676

00:31:519 - Notes should probably go here and at 00:31:682 -

00:44:155 (44155|0) - I think the notes in the music are a little too quiet for this change in rhythm I would just place this on the red tick before 00:44:073 - for consistency sake

00:59:073 (59073|0) - ^

00:46:519 - Some long notes could definitely go here with the vocals, apply for all later examples

01:03:149 - LN here 01:04:128 - here and 01:04:454 -

01:05:432 - Single note here

01:09:671 (69671|0,69671|3,69997|0,69997|2,70323|0,70323|1,70649|0) - I dunno if it's just because i'm shit but this pattern feels way more frustrating to land than anything else in this difficulty, as well as all of the other uses of this, i'd consider making it a little less dense.

01:27:932 - You can probably do some repeating triplet notes here instead of a break and of course some double notes every 8 measures where appropriate

Notes can definitely go 01:54:997 - and 01:55:160 -

02:08:367 - Again there's alot of vocals here you can map to without just leaving them empty

03:08:530 - Triplet section here is pretty absurdly difficult, i'd just settle for 1/2 notes here leading up to 03:13:747 - where it starts to intensify and the doubles kick in

Good luck!

Hard

00:23:693 (23693|3,23693|2) - I feel like this would play a little better if it was only one note, try this: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7554676 fixed

00:31:519 - Notes should probably go here and at 00:31:682 - added the first but not the second due to no actual sound

00:44:155 (44155|0) - I think the notes in the music are a little too quiet for this change in rhythm I would just place this on the red tick before 00:44:073 - for consistency sake while I do agree, I think it's fine and adds some variety to the section

00:59:073 (59073|0) - ^ fixed

00:46:519 - Some long notes could definitely go here with the vocals, apply for all later examples I like the gaps, adds emphasis

01:03:149 - LN here 01:04:128 - here and 01:04:454 - ^

01:05:432 - Single note here fixed

01:09:671 (69671|0,69671|3,69997|0,69997|2,70323|0,70323|1,70649|0) - I dunno if it's just because i'm shit but this pattern feels way more frustrating to land than anything else in this difficulty, as well as all of the other uses of this, i'd consider making it a little less dense. I will say that it tripped me up the first few times playing it but now I have no issue with it. This doesn't mean it's a problem though, I'll leave it as is for now but keep it on my radar. All diffs have some variation of this so I don't want to scrap it completely and removing the singles makes it too empty for a "Hard"

01:27:932 - You can probably do some repeating triplet notes here instead of a break and of course some double notes every 8 measures where appropriate I like the break. It's not traditional for mania but I think it fits.

Notes can definitely go 01:54:997 - and 01:55:160 - same as before, added first but not second

02:08:367 - Again there's alot of vocals here you can map to without just leaving them empty same as before

03:08:530 - Triplet section here is pretty absurdly difficult, i'd just settle for 1/2 notes here leading up to 03:13:747 - where it starts to intensify and the doubles kick in mmmm, it might be a little hard but the section isn't meant to be easy. I wont change it to 1/2 notes just because that'll make it easier than the normal but I'll think about possible options

Good luck!
Thanks for the unexpected mod!

00:02:823 - main sound so u cant to ignore this, add note done

00:09:019 - add note, little odd for this only mapping piano in this section

00:10:976 - double, for emphasis the piano done

00:21:410 - oh man, really hard for normal i guess, so i suggest to remove notes in red thick 00:21:573 (21573|3,21899|3,22226|3) - n re arrange, for consistent ofc n the next section start here 00:22:552 - ex : https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7555080 It's a normal, not an easy

00:22:552 - double n i suggest to use this pattern (include some mod there ) https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7555083 ^

00:43:584 (43584|3) - u can ignore this cuz not loud, so remove it's pretty loud

00:44:236 (44236|3) - move to 00:44:155 - trying to avoid blue ticks since lowest diff

00:56:791 (56791|3) - same u can ignore this too I'll keep it

00:56:954 - tbh i can hear sound in 00:56:872 - Blue tick again

01:53:856 (113856|3,114019|2,114182|1) - move to left side for balance done

04:00:541 - u can map until here I can but I wont. Already a long song

[Hard]

00:22:389 (22389|0,22389|1,22715|1,22715|0) - make it single, not loud double for the snare

00:22:878 - double here Leaving it as it to avoid too many doubles

00:34:454 (34454|0) - move to col 4 done

01:26:628 - break ? i suggest to make LN or something that fill the part it's fine

01:39:671 - emp0hasisit's ok

02:09:997 - n 00:46:519 - different ?? inconsistent, make it same n variation pattern than beforeThe piano is different though?

a lot similar pattern owo

*more like "all you can learn about hitsounds" boop more than anything*
2017-03-15 00:39 Litharrale: Hey I tried to apply your feedback about the hitsounds being too basic so I added in a piano sound and a cymbal to a tonne of spots
2017-03-15 00:40 Litharrale: I also added in a lot of points to vary the hitsound volume to emphasize different spots depending on the musics intensity
2017-03-15 00:40 Litharrale: If you could check it out that'd be sweet, only on the insane diff atm
2017-03-15 00:40 Litharrale: ACTION is listening to [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/1232409 Tia - The Glory Days]
2017-03-15 00:41 Protastic101: give me a sec
2017-03-15 00:41 Litharrale: all g
2017-03-15 00:44 Protastic101: alright, lemme check it out
2017-03-15 00:45 Protastic101: whew, lots of duplicate hitsounds
2017-03-15 00:45 Protastic101: that's a bit of a problem
2017-03-15 00:45 Litharrale: in the folder?
2017-03-15 00:45 Litharrale: I didn't know how else to do it
2017-03-15 00:46 Litharrale: 5 hitsounds and there are points where I need 2 of those hitsounds on the same line
2017-03-15 00:46 Litharrale: so at least one has to be duplicated
2017-03-15 00:46 Protastic101: eh hold on
2017-03-15 00:46 Protastic101: where did you say the hitsounds had to be duplicated? Cause there's a way of getting around that in mania that you can't do in the other gamemodes hue
2017-03-15 00:47 Litharrale: spots like 02:29:236 (149236|1) - here
2017-03-15 00:47 Litharrale: where I need the bass kick and the cymbal
2017-03-15 00:47 Protastic101: ok, do you know how to sample import stuff?
2017-03-15 00:48 Protastic101: control + shift + I to bring up the sample import menu, select whichever note you need to hitsound, and apply it?
2017-03-15 00:48 Litharrale: oh wow
2017-03-15 00:48 Litharrale: that is
2017-03-15 00:48 Litharrale: that's pretty cool
2017-03-15 00:48 Litharrale: Learn something new everyday
2017-03-15 00:48 Litharrale: Alright sweet that's an easy fix then thanks
2017-03-15 00:48 Litharrale: Ignoring the duplicate issues, thoughts on the hitsounds?
2017-03-15 00:49 Protastic101: if you're gonna add a piano sample, go all out and keysound everything else, not just one note lol
2017-03-15 00:49 Litharrale: only did that one cause it's the most prominent one
2017-03-15 00:49 Protastic101: Imo, you don't need the soft-hitfinish.wav if you don't plan on keysounding anything else
2017-03-15 00:49 Litharrale: 01:21:084 (81084|3) - shows up here
2017-03-15 00:49 Protastic101: 00:02:823 (2823|2) - also shows up here

2017-03-15 00:49 Litharrale: etc
2017-03-15 00:50 Litharrale: yeah but i tried to add a point before it and it broke the thing
2017-03-15 00:50 Litharrale: so ill import it there kappa
2017-03-15 00:50 Protastic101: sample import exists! It's the solution to all your hitsounding woes if you know how to do it right
2017-03-15 00:50 Protastic101: if not, you'll end up getting a map like Mitis - Movements and that makes a hitsounder like me sad
2017-03-15 00:50 Litharrale: No kidding
2017-03-15 00:50 Litharrale: I wish i knew about it before
2017-03-15 00:52 Protastic101: yeah
2017-03-15 00:52 Protastic101: all the more reason for me to finish my hitsounding guide lmao
2017-03-15 00:52 Protastic101: Been working on it all this week and I'm literally getting asked like 5 times a day how to do hitsounds XD
2017-03-15 00:52 Litharrale: oh man a hitsounding guide would be great
2017-03-15 00:52 Litharrale: especially if you include shit like how to sample sounds
2017-03-15 00:53 Protastic101: yeah
2017-03-15 00:53 Protastic101: I plan on going over multiple types of hitsounding
2017-03-15 00:53 Litharrale: >til there's different types of hitsounding
2017-03-15 00:53 Protastic101: Basic, dividing, keysounding, and additive sampling are the four categories I have so far
2017-03-15 00:54 Protastic101: I'ma add more if I can think of any, but I think that covers every single way to hitsound something
2017-03-15 00:54 Litharrale: I know some of those words
2017-03-15 00:55 Protastic101: D:
2017-03-15 00:55 Protastic101: anyways, hitsounds aside
2017-03-15 00:56 Protastic101: I'm surprised there weren't any double or triple hitsounds or tons of inconsistent stuff tbh
2017-03-15 00:56 Protastic101: couple of missing samples but those are just normal errors people make when hitsounding
2017-03-15 00:56 Litharrale: oh there was
2017-03-15 00:56 Litharrale: someone told me to "self mod"
2017-03-15 00:56 Litharrale: worked wonders imo
2017-03-15 00:56 Litharrale: missing samples?
2017-03-15 00:56 Litharrale: got a timestamp?
2017-03-15 00:57 Protastic101: i dont remember where, i just remember there was one hitsound missing around the first kiai when I took a glance at the map
2017-03-15 00:57 Protastic101: lemme see if i can find it
2017-03-15 00:57 Litharrale: ah
2017-03-15 00:57 Litharrale: Most likely
2017-03-15 00:57 Litharrale: if i didnt miss anything I'd be surprised
2017-03-15 00:58 Protastic101: 01:09:345 (69345|2) -
2017-03-15 00:58 Litharrale: wow
2017-03-15 00:58 Litharrale: you must have amazing hearing
2017-03-15 00:59 Protastic101: eh, sure, but more likely it's cause I'm viewing the sample names and listening with music/effect at 15/100
2017-03-15 00:59 Litharrale: fug i never thought to lower all sounds except hitsounds
2017-03-15 01:00 Protastic101: do the opposite when you hitsound, music/effect at 100/15
2017-03-15 01:01 Litharrale: why would you make music louded?
2017-03-15 01:01 Litharrale: louder*
2017-03-15 01:01 Protastic101: cause when you're hitsounding, you want to be able to hear the music above everything else so you know which sample to place on what note
2017-03-15 01:02 Litharrale: Ah ok
2017-03-15 01:02 Protastic101: but you keep effect at a low volume cause you need to be able to tell if a sample is glaringly wrong or if you just need to play the sample once to hear what it is
2017-03-15 01:02 Protastic101: But you know how to view sample names?
2017-03-15 01:02 Litharrale: uh, ctrl-shift-I?
2017-03-15 01:02 Protastic101: no
2017-03-15 01:02 Litharrale: fug
2017-03-15 01:02 Protastic101: go to the view tab at the top
2017-03-15 01:03 Protastic101: https://puu.sh/uJxP4.jpg
2017-03-15 01:03 Protastic101: that
2017-03-15 01:03 Litharrale: I see
2017-03-15 01:03 Litharrale: and it shows the letters on the notes
2017-03-15 01:03 Protastic101: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7569297 shows your sample names like that
2017-03-15 01:03 Litharrale: man you BNs really are good at mapping
2017-03-15 01:03 Litharrale: who knew
2017-03-15 01:04 Protastic101: lolno i suk at mapping
2017-03-15 01:05 Litharrale: yellow badge says otherwise
2017-03-15 01:05 Protastic101: 01:26:628 - to 01:37:063 - yeah, unlike in standard or ctb, mania doesn't use break time
2017-03-15 01:05 Litharrale: anyway
2017-03-15 01:05 Litharrale: yeah
2017-03-15 01:05 Protastic101: it's pretty much only for it there's absolute silence in the music
2017-03-15 01:05 Litharrale: ok
2017-03-15 01:05 Litharrale: i mean
2017-03-15 01:05 Protastic101: you can map the 1/2 piano there though
2017-03-15 01:06 Litharrale: Does it have to be changed?
2017-03-15 01:06 Litharrale: I will if it needs to be
2017-03-15 01:06 Litharrale: but I really do like it
2017-03-15 01:06 Protastic101: and no, me being a nominator means Im a competent modder, but Im a really retarded mapper
2017-03-15 01:06 Litharrale: kek
2017-03-15 01:06 Litharrale: 01:04:128 - what about the break here?
2017-03-15 01:07 Protastic101: 01:04:291 - add an LN here and extend it to 01:05:432 - where the note comes in to represent the build up of that whoosh thingy sound, and the LN ends to represent the cut off for the piano
2017-03-15 01:09 Litharrale: done
2017-03-15 01:10 Protastic101: ok, so regarding the kiais and the hitsounds there
2017-03-15 01:10 Protastic101: when I said they were underwhelming, I meant it in the way that there are snares every 2/1 beat like on 01:06:084 (66084|0,66736|0,67389|1,68041|0,68693|0,69345|1) - but there's no snare sample for them
2017-03-15 01:11 Protastic101: https://puu.sh/uJyfx.wav was thinking you could try using this one for it
2017-03-15 01:11 Protastic101: since puush is weird af, just right click and save as to save the sample
2017-03-15 01:11 Protastic101: dunno what you would name it if you end up using it
2017-03-15 01:12 Litharrale: [http://i.imgur.com/Ajbnv3s.png yeah]
2017-03-15 01:12 Protastic101: could change it to soft-hitclap and then make the current soft-hitclap a normal-hitnormal and just change the sample set through the drop down menu above the circle/hold/select buttons
2017-03-15 01:12 Protastic101: yeah, dunno why puush is doing that lol
2017-03-15 01:13 Protastic101: works fine when I send everything in a .zip Q_Q
2017-03-15 01:13 Litharrale: alright got it saved
2017-03-15 01:13 Litharrale: Yeah I'll do that
2017-03-15 01:13 Litharrale: and just apply it through the sample import thingo
2017-03-15 01:14 Protastic101: tbh, life would be way easier if you just renamed the current soft-hitclap to something else cause you'll be using the snare a lot more than the jingle thing
2017-03-15 01:14 Protastic101: btw, is the background from Your Lie in April or something?
2017-03-15 01:14 Litharrale: huh the import didnt work
2017-03-15 01:14 Litharrale: hit apply and it didnt apply
2017-03-15 01:14 Litharrale: Yeah it is, I think it suits the song though
2017-03-15 01:15 Protastic101: you select the note first?
2017-03-15 01:15 Litharrale: I really dont want to have to use a captain earth BG because that show is hideous
2017-03-15 01:15 Protastic101: gotta highlight the notes you want to apply it to
2017-03-15 01:15 Litharrale: yeah I used your timestamp
2017-03-15 01:15 Protastic101: idk what captain earth is lol
2017-03-15 01:15 Protastic101: did you select the sample from the left hand side of the sample import menu?
2017-03-15 01:15 Litharrale: lame anime
2017-03-15 01:15 Protastic101: and then hit apply instead of sample?
2017-03-15 01:15 Litharrale: yeah
2017-03-15 01:15 Litharrale: when i click the note it says it has the sample
2017-03-15 01:16 Litharrale: but there's no noise
2017-03-15 01:16 Protastic101: if you choose to "sample" it, you'll end up with a storyboarded sound
2017-03-15 01:16 Litharrale: interesting
2017-03-15 01:16 Protastic101: did you rename the sample in the folder
2017-03-15 01:16 Litharrale: normal-hitclap
2017-03-15 01:16 Litharrale: just found out you can double click notes to have them play their hitsound
2017-03-15 01:17 Protastic101: in that case, just use the drop down menu on the left hand side
2017-03-15 01:17 Protastic101: to change the sample set and apply the clap
2017-03-15 01:17 Protastic101: https://puu.sh/uJyGo.jpg like that thingy
2017-03-15 01:17 Protastic101: works 10/10
2017-03-15 01:17 Litharrale: oh
2017-03-15 01:17 Protastic101: yeah, no green line abuse needed to change sample sets
2017-03-15 01:18 Litharrale: still not hearing anything
2017-03-15 01:18 Litharrale: gonna restart osu
2017-03-15 01:18 Protastic101: ok
2017-03-15 01:19 Litharrale: ayyy its working
2017-03-15 01:19 Protastic101: yey
2017-03-15 01:20 Litharrale: alright so thats the snares down
2017-03-15 01:20 Protastic101: 00:20:921 (20921|1,21247|1,21573|1,21899|1,22226|1) - k, so when I mentioned stacks, stuff like this is what I mean
2017-03-15 01:20 Protastic101: it's not unplayable but it's not the best either because there's no variation to it
2017-03-15 01:21 Litharrale: jsut back to hitsounds really quick, i seem to have some of the imported sounds on....nothing
2017-03-15 01:21 Protastic101: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7569351 you can always try keeping the direction of your stream the same for a while to avoid those kind of stacks
2017-03-15 01:21 Litharrale: in one spot the sound plays before the note
2017-03-15 01:22 Protastic101: if you imported a sample and then renamed it, only silence plays
2017-03-15 01:22 Protastic101: uh
2017-03-15 01:22 Litharrale: perhaps cause I hit sample?
2017-03-15 01:22 Protastic101: press tab and check storyboarded samples
2017-03-15 01:22 Protastic101: if there's an orange note, that's the problem
2017-03-15 01:22 Litharrale: bingo
2017-03-15 01:22 Litharrale: ty
2017-03-15 01:23 Litharrale: ok so these stacks are an issue
2017-03-15 01:24 Litharrale: can I ask why?
2017-03-15 01:24 Litharrale: They seem fine to me but other modders pointed it out as well
2017-03-15 01:24 Litharrale: and they seem almost unavoidable in 4k
2017-03-15 01:24 Protastic101: it leads to a repetitive movement and strains one specific finger more than the others, so the weight is uneven
2017-03-15 01:25 Protastic101: it can be used in some pretty cool ways, but you wanna avoid them if they happen unintentionally
2017-03-15 01:25 Protastic101: just a variation kind of thing
2017-03-15 01:25 Litharrale: Alright that's a good explanation
2017-03-15 01:25 Litharrale: So how many until it's an issue?
2017-03-15 01:25 Litharrale: 4 in a row?
2017-03-15 01:25 Protastic101: use your own judgement for that. I say after 4 in a 1/2 stream, it's excessive
2017-03-15 01:26 Protastic101: after 3 in a 1/4 stream is when you're bordering on me about to shoot the mapper
2017-03-15 01:27 Litharrale: oh man dont look at my first map then
2017-03-15 01:27 Litharrale: I had some hand streams with like 12 in a row
2017-03-15 01:27 Protastic101: lmao
2017-03-15 01:27 Protastic101: it's the mark of every mapper :D
2017-03-15 01:27 Litharrale: added the snare to the first kiai, sounds great
2017-03-15 01:27 Protastic101: should see my first map ever submitted. I've remapped it 3 times I think, and there are still retarded stacks everywhere
2017-03-15 01:27 Litharrale: ok but its gotten rid of the bass for half of them fu
2017-03-15 01:28 Litharrale: haha
2017-03-15 01:28 Protastic101: A good way to avoid stacks is to keep your stream mono directional
2017-03-15 01:28 Litharrale: so im guessing you cant put an imported sound on a note that already has a hitsound
2017-03-15 01:28 Litharrale: Yeah
2017-03-15 01:28 Protastic101: like, the flow direction, whether the notes go left -> right, or right -> left, or even inside out like you find in a 1 3 2 4 pattern
2017-03-15 01:28 Protastic101: yeah, you can
2017-03-15 01:28 Protastic101: cant*
2017-03-15 01:28 Litharrale: well shit
2017-03-15 01:28 Protastic101: sample imports need to be on a separate note from editor claps/whistles/finishes
2017-03-15 01:28 Litharrale: yeah one way streams do feel better
2017-03-15 01:29 Protastic101: single directional streams do get boring after a while though, which is why it's also important to vary stream direction sometimes
2017-03-15 01:29 Litharrale: question
2017-03-15 01:30 Litharrale: I have a note here that needs the import snare and the bass kick
2017-03-15 01:30 Litharrale: and it's only a single note
2017-03-15 01:30 Protastic101: it's pretty much all about finding a balance between holding a direction for just the right amount of time to avoid stacks while also keeping it entertaining
2017-03-15 01:30 Litharrale: what do
2017-03-15 01:30 Litharrale: 01:10:649 (70649|0) -
2017-03-15 01:30 Protastic101: pick the one that's most important cause you can't put both
2017-03-15 01:30 Litharrale: snare it is
2017-03-15 01:30 Protastic101: yeah, often snare takes precedence over the kick
2017-03-15 01:31 Litharrale: mmm you can definitely hear the lack of a kick though
2017-03-15 01:31 Protastic101: 00:23:774 (23774|1,23938|1) - am not hearing where these notes are
2017-03-15 01:31 Protastic101: You could always shield the notes instead, like this https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7569375
2017-03-15 01:32 Litharrale: I could say I mapped those to the vocals but really I just did it because it feels better
2017-03-15 01:32 Litharrale: Climatic end to the section
2017-03-15 01:32 Litharrale: Should I remove it?
2017-03-15 01:32 Litharrale: shields a good idea for that bit
2017-03-15 01:33 Protastic101: the LNs? Idk, to me, they break the flow because you set up a 1/2 basic rhythm in the section, and those LNs destroy that by making a pause longer than what the player expects
2017-03-15 01:33 Litharrale: no the timestamp you gave at 23s
2017-03-15 01:33 Protastic101: oh yeah, remove those notes at the 23 second mark, I'm pretty sure they're ghost notes
2017-03-15 01:34 Protastic101: well, it's late, so I'ma probs go to sleep now
2017-03-15 01:34 Protastic101: you want me to post log or nah?
2017-03-15 01:34 Litharrale: Go for it
2017-03-15 01:34 Litharrale: wait
2017-03-15 01:34 Litharrale: before you go
2017-03-15 01:34 Litharrale: you mentioned "consistency issues" in your PM
2017-03-15 01:34 Litharrale: What did you mean?
2017-03-15 01:35 Protastic101: o yeah
2017-03-15 01:35 Protastic101: 00:41:628 (41628|0,41628|1) - so this is a kick and you mapped it with a jump, but then 00:41:791 (41791|3) - is also a kick but mapped with a single note only
2017-03-15 01:36 Protastic101: 00:42:443 (42443|1) - similarly, this and 00:42:280 (42280|2,42280|0) - are both kicks but mapped with different chords
2017-03-15 01:36 Litharrale: Noted and fixed
2017-03-15 01:36 Protastic101: 00:44:155 (44155|0,44236|0) - kicks, using only singles. Also a bit unrelated, but you haven't really used jacks at all in the chart so randomly throwing a minijack here isn't the best idea imo, cause the player has absolutely no expectation for it at all
2017-03-15 01:37 Litharrale: ah
2017-03-15 01:37 Litharrale: They're singles because of the jack
2017-03-15 01:37 Litharrale: but if i remove the jack i can make them doubles
2017-03-15 01:37 Litharrale: done
2017-03-15 01:37 Protastic101: 00:44:889 (44889|0,44889|1,44889|3) - concerning this, this is the start of a transitional section, but contrary to what the song would lead the player to believe, instead of being one big finish, it actually loses most of its intensity in the music, so using a triple is like giving it the feeling of a strong end and start to a section when it's the opposite
2017-03-15 01:38 Litharrale: agreed, especially since the end of the song is only a double
2017-03-15 01:38 Protastic101: 00:48:313 (48313|0,48476|2) - these are the same pitch, but mapped in different columns whereas 00:45:704 (45704|1,45867|1) - is the same pitch but stacked
2017-03-15 01:38 Litharrale: They are not the same pitch
2017-03-15 01:39 Litharrale: at least im 94% sure they're not
2017-03-15 01:39 Protastic101: the piano is, I guess you could argue the vocals aren't, but those are way harder to tell since the pitch changes at the very end
2017-03-15 01:39 Litharrale: nah the piano
2017-03-15 01:39 Litharrale: I swear to god
2017-03-15 01:39 Protastic101: 00:55:976 - this section starts a 1/1 steady snare, and you map them with doubles, except for the note here which is a single
2017-03-15 01:40 Litharrale: fixed
2017-03-15 01:40 Protastic101: 00:56:872 (56872|2,58177|0,58421|0,58666|1) - and so on, I feel like you could make all these snare notes jumps, and do a shifting complementary chord thing like this or something https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7569409
2017-03-15 01:41 Protastic101: 01:08:530 (68530|3,68530|1) - 01:09:182 (69182|2,69182|0) - k, so my actual confusion came from these
2017-03-15 01:42 Protastic101: like, if they're jumps for the vocal, then you're missing them at 01:05:921 - 01:06:573 - 01:06:899 - 01:07:226 - 01:07:552 - and so on
2017-03-15 01:42 Protastic101: if not, then there's no percussion sound to support them
2017-03-15 01:42 Protastic101: 01:09:834 - 01:10:160 - 01:10:486 - and then the stuff I mentioned about flow
2017-03-15 01:42 Protastic101: ok, for reals I should really go to sleep lol
2017-03-15 01:42 Litharrale: Vocal jumps are only when the vocals are 3 stressed syllables
2017-03-15 01:42 Protastic101: talk later if you need to, ima probs be online tomorrow around this time again
2017-03-15 01:42 Litharrale: I did miss a few though
2017-03-15 01:43 Litharrale: alright, I'll PM you after I've fixed all the issues
2017-03-15 01:43 Litharrale: thanks dude
2017-03-15 01:43 Protastic101: np
2017-03-15 01:43 Litharrale: a lot
njoy
you didnt believe me
12.22 Litharrale: i did not put those there
12.22 Litharrale: i swear
12.22 od3x: ima mod 4 u now den
12.22 od3x: _b
12.22 Litharrale: :D
12.22 Litharrale: wait keep in mind that the insane is very different from the hard and norm right now
12.22 Litharrale: made some big changes
12.22 Litharrale: general thoughts though?
12.22 od3x: suggestions on insane
12.23 od3x: only things that were super hitler were the minijacks
12.23 od3x: 01:16:601 (76601|3) -
12.23 od3x: that pattern
12.23 od3x: this was normal level hitler stuff
12.23 Litharrale: yeah no dont worry
12.23 od3x: 01:16:601 (76601|3) -
12.23 od3x: no
12.23 Litharrale: that must've been an artifact from my ctrl v
12.23 od3x: 01:37:063 -
12.23 od3x: this
12.23 Litharrale: definitely wasnt there before
12.24 od3x: :p
12.24 Litharrale: oh
12.24 Litharrale: kek
12.24 Litharrale: originally it was just the LNs
12.24 Litharrale: but someone was like
12.24 Litharrale: "you should add jacks"
12.24 Litharrale: and now there are jacks
12.24 od3x: "you should add something other than jacks"
12.24 od3x: imo felt really out of place
12.24 od3x: but I do think some spamming fits there
12.25 od3x: maybe only layer in the bass drum
12.25 Litharrale: yeah i agree with you
12.25 od3x: and vary the positions
12.25 Litharrale: but like
12.25 od3x: 01:41:791 -
12.25 Litharrale: what could i replace it with?
12.25 od3x: this part was pretty fun
12.25 Litharrale: ayyy
12.25 od3x: well
12.25 Litharrale: two least favourite parts are those jacks
12.25 Litharrale: and
12.26 Litharrale: 01:46:438 (106438|2) - this stream
12.26 od3x: _b
12.26 od3x: as for changing the jacks,
12.26 od3x: I would take off every other not
12.26 od3x: e
12.27 od3x: and just use the bass drum every beat
12.27 Litharrale: guaranteed I'd get mods being like "why no note here when same sound??!"
12.27 od3x: ie.
12.28 od3x: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7570061
12.28 od3x: yeah
12.28 od3x: then you just have to explain them why you did it that way
12.28 Litharrale: hmmm
12.28 od3x: that does require that you believe its the best way thou
12.28 Litharrale: ill save your image and show it to the BN thats helping me
12.29 od3x: ohgad
12.29 Litharrale: well as is i think it's just an odd difficulty spike
12.29 Litharrale: so a change is needed
12.29 Litharrale: i cant go to nothing
12.29 Litharrale: so your way is probably best
12.30 od3x: wait
12.30 Litharrale: OH MY LORD
12.30 Litharrale: I LOVE THE BGS
12.30 *Litharrale is listening to [https://osu.ppy.sh/b/1234573 Camellia - crystallized]
12.31 Litharrale: OH THATS FUCKING AWESOME
12.31 od3x: you count the jacks as diff spikes and not the infinite hand/jump stream?
12.31 od3x: lol
12.31 Litharrale: yeah no thats e-z p-z
12.31 Litharrale: only noobs liek you cant you do it
12.31 Litharrale: lamooo
12.31 od3x: ayyyyyyyy
12.31 od3x: aras did hitler his diff thou so dunno what im gonna do about that
12.31 od3x: but back to the mod
12.31 Litharrale: [http://i.imgur.com/lT47uuR.jpg dude your bg is so fucking perfect]
12.32 od3x: 03:18:421 (198421|1) - you could turn this into a LN
12.33 od3x: and later, 03:24:182 (204182|2,204182|0) -
12.33 od3x: im not sure those need doubles
12.34 od3x: 03:24:834 (204834|2,204834|3) -
12.34 Litharrale: dude your map is so fucking cool
12.34 od3x: same with the whole pattern basically
12.34 Litharrale: ok back to mod
12.34 Litharrale: 03:18:421 (198421|1) - what would the LN be mapping? her breath?
12.34 Litharrale: 03:24:182 (204182|2) - it'd break the theme
12.34 od3x: the bass slide?
12.35 od3x: 2. and thats why you nerf the whole thing
12.35 od3x: not just that part
12.35 Litharrale: the BN called me out on not vocal emphasizing those ones
12.35 od3x: lul
12.35 Litharrale: >nerf
12.35 Litharrale: woah now
12.35 od3x: 03:18:421 (198421|1) -
12.35 od3x: this thing

12.37 od3x: spamming logs to thread
12.37 od3x: 2sec
12.37 Litharrale: kk
12.37 Litharrale: btw if you're gonna mod my map, do the normal and hard
12.37 Litharrale: cause a BN scoured this for 2 hours
12.37 Litharrale: so you'd have to be pre fukin good to spot something he didnt
12.37 od3x: uhh
12.38 od3x: i literally just modded
12.38 od3x: but I can check out the easier diffs too
12.38 od3x: irc ftw

12.39 od3x: how do you map with such little timeline zoom
12.40 od3x: LOL
12.40 od3x: well now I realized how you mapped this so fast
12.40 Litharrale: see more
12.40 Litharrale: think more
12.40 Litharrale: oh shit
12.40 Litharrale: no
12.40 Litharrale: dont tell anyone
12.40 Litharrale: no ones realized yet
12.40 Litharrale: not even the bn i dont think
12.40 od3x: you must be australias fastest copy paster
12.40 od3x: xD
12.40 Litharrale: FUCK
12.40 Litharrale: in my defense
12.41 Litharrale: the sections are practically identical in the song
12.41 Litharrale: so i mean
12.41 Litharrale: y'know
12.41 od3x: i'now
12.41 Litharrale: >_>
12.43 od3x: im not going to add this to the irc mod
12.43 od3x: but
12.43 od3x: add ln here on normal
12.43 od3x: 01:05:432 -
12.43 od3x: prolly on 2
12.43 od3x: 0123
12.44 Litharrale: not a single?
12.44 od3x: that would be lame
12.44 Litharrale: b-but the insane has a single
12.44 od3x: and even more ctrl-c ctrl-v
12.44 od3x: so does hard
12.44 od3x: LUL
12.44 od3x: and ln is cooler
12.44 Litharrale: also dont forget with the normal
12.44 Litharrale: im on 1.99 stars
12.44 od3x: just because its so prominent
12.44 Litharrale: if it gets to 2.00 stars
12.44 Litharrale: im fucked
12.44 od3x: oh boy
12.44 Litharrale: so if you tell me to add something
12.44 Litharrale: oh boy
12.44 od3x: i get to nerfhammer ur shit
12.45 Litharrale: ye
12.45 od3x: best part is
12.45 od3x: ln doesnt even push it over
12.45 od3x: youre safe for now
12.45 od3x: imo just make it ln for hard and insane too
12.45 od3x: its so gud
12.45 od3x: :X
12.46 Litharrale: sweet
12.46 Litharrale: hmmm
12.46 Litharrale: ln
12.46 Litharrale: or single
12.47 Litharrale: normal ill add an ln
12.47 Litharrale: on insane ill keep the single cause there's alreadyt an ln there
12.47 od3x: (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
12.47 od3x: 02:05:758 -
12.47 od3x: this part
12.47 od3x: are you absolutely feeling the doubles on a snare
12.48 Litharrale: is that not correct
12.48 Litharrale: rather the snares on the double rather than the bass
12.48 od3x: the first and the last ones have bass
12.48 od3x: 02:06:899 (126899|1,126899|0,127389|0,127389|1) -
12.48 od3x: im pretty sure these dont
12.48 od3x:
12.49 od3x: nah
12.49 od3x: only the second one doesnt have it
12.49 od3x: but still
12.49 od3x: that would be an easy spot to nerf norm
12.49 Litharrale: my brain is mush i dont undersaand
12.49 Litharrale: oh no i dont need to nerf norm
12.49 Litharrale: unless like
12.49 od3x: 02:06:899 (126899|0,126899|1) -
12.49 Litharrale: we add something hard enough
12.49 Litharrale: that it goes 2.00
12.49 od3x: this one does not have bass
12.50 od3x: since bass always on white tick
12.50 Litharrale: yeah but it has snare
12.50 od3x: waaaaauuuuww
12.50 od3x: woooooooow
12.50 od3x: a
12.50 od3x: snare
12.50 od3x: O.O)_b
12.50 od3x: just nerf the jump and i can stop this tantrum
12.51 Litharrale: w-which one
12.51 od3x: 02:06:899 (126899|0,126899|1) -
12.51 od3x: stuttering wont help boy
12.51 od3x: the BN will come for your neck
12.51 Litharrale: but what about the other jumps
12.51 od3x: they have bass
12.51 od3x: you can keep them
12.51 od3x: but imo they just dont need emphasis on norm
12.52 Litharrale: oh fuk you're right
12.52 Litharrale: hmmm
12.52 Litharrale: ill make it a single and see how it plays
12.52 Litharrale: alright changed
12.52 od3x: aight
12.52 od3x: also, spam your tags onto the other diffs aswell
12.53 od3x: 03:11:628 -
12.53 od3x: here
12.53 Litharrale: different diffs have different tags?
12.53 Litharrale: til
12.53 od3x: you swapped the doubles onto non-kick drums
12.53 od3x: on accident prolly
12.54 od3x: they dont have diffirent
12.54 od3x: just separate
12.54 od3x: for some weird reason
12.54 Litharrale: no it was on purpose
12.54 Litharrale: doubles on every second white tick
12.54 od3x: well it sounds weird
12.54 Litharrale: for simplicity
12.54 od3x: yeah but listen to that part again
12.54 od3x: you noted the ticks that DONT have the kick
12.54 od3x: lul
12.54 Litharrale: oh shit
12.55 od3x: xd
12.55 Litharrale: fixed
12.55 Litharrale: fug
12.55 od3x: do I even dare to check that on hard
12.55 od3x: seems like the BN didnt even check the map
12.55 od3x: keepo
12.55 Litharrale: i'd love it if you did so the bn doesnt roast me
12.55 Litharrale: nah he just helped me with the insane
12.55 Litharrale: :^0
12.55 od3x: you mapped everything on hard
12.56 od3x: but wtf
12.56 od3x: 03:17:497 -
12.56 od3x: on hard
12.56 od3x: xD
12.56 od3x: you mustve been tired
12.56 od3x: that LN snapping
12.56 Litharrale: wut about it
12.56 Litharrale: hey now
12.56 Litharrale: you listen
12.56 Litharrale: it ends on the
12.56 Litharrale: 1/6 tick
12.57 od3x: meh
12.57 od3x: just feels better on the fourth
12.58 Litharrale: fine you win
12.58 Litharrale: upbeat it is
12.58 od3x: since it ends with the piano aswell
12.58 od3x: oo
12.58 od3x: ah
12.58 od3x: oh
12.59 od3x: you only mapped the ln 1/6
12.59 od3x: that was a bold move cotton
12.59 Litharrale: ur just ignrent
13.00 od3x: u hav kangaruus in ur hat and spiders in shuus
13.00 od3x: 03:22:715 -
13.00 od3x: hard
13.00 od3x: maybe move the singles next to the starting ln
13.00 od3x: lamo jack on 0
13.01 Litharrale: you sure?
13.01 od3x: yea
13.01 Litharrale: I thought it'd be easier having the singles on the same finger
13.01 od3x: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/7570161
13.01 od3x: it is
13.01 od3x: they are just lamer than u
13.02 od3x: hue hue hue
13.02 Litharrale: i mean it looks prettier
13.02 Litharrale: but
13.02 Litharrale: idk if its easier
13.02 od3x: hard players dont play with their feet
13.02 Litharrale: wait
13.02 od3x: all of them atleast
13.02 Litharrale: this isnt normal
13.02 Litharrale: what the fuck
13.02 Litharrale: changed
13.02 Litharrale: kek
13.02 od3x: do you THINK with your feet?
13.02 od3x: since there dont seem to be much "braining" going on right now
13.02 od3x: xd
13.02 Litharrale: atm i dont even thunk
13.03 od3x: we bros
13.03 od3x: 03:33:149 -

Spotted a little mistake, not worth a kudosu I guess, but since I also gave some IRC feedback and pattern suggestion, do as you please:

Why aren't you putting a note at 01:49:943 - , but putting one at 01:52:552 (112552|0) - ? You should decide if you follow the piano and delete the second one, or follow the little "thingy thing sound" and put a note on the first. Same applies to 01:49:780 (109780|0) - and to 01:54:997 - . You should check that part again and decide what instrument you are following.

Just to clarify this, if i say something about 1/2/3/4, i mean the 4 keys you are using for playing (1 = most left key, 4 = most right key).
Anyways, let's go!!!

Rave's Easy
00:05:758 Would do a double on the accord piano sounds
00:08:367 ^^
00:10:976 ^^
00:36:736 I think you mapped this on voice, so i'd put a note in there
00:46:519 Put notes for the voice in here, too
00:49:128 You get the idea
00:55:323 Double here and on every big white tick, too
01:03:149 LN
01:05:758 Double on every 1/2 beat for emphasizing
01:15:541 (75541|1) ???
01:29:236 Same as 00:05:758
01:57:932 Same as 00:55:323
02:08:693 Same as 00:36:736
02:29:236 Same as 01:05:758
02:39:019 (159019|3) ???
02:50:106 Same as 00:05:758
03:28:584 (208584|0) I really have no idea what this LN's should represent, im sorry
03:39:671 I'd map that part, too (In all diffs)

Normal
00:05:758 Put a double in here
00:23:693 (23693|0,23774|1,23856|2,23938|3) There is no stream
00:26:139 (26139|3) ???
00:42:932 (42932|3,43095|2) Should also be a jack since 00:42:280 (42280|2,42443|2) is one
00:46:193 Why the pause? Mabye voice LN's or something
01:03:149 Replace double with LN
01:05:758 Double
01:10:976 ^^
01:15:541 (75541|0) Delete
01:15:541 (75541|0) Double
01:46:845 (106845|0) If you want to use it for this swift sound, it ends at 01:47:171

This can be aplied to the rest of the map

Hard
00:08:367 Double
00:08:367 (8367|2) Ends at 00:10:976
00:18:149 (18149|3,18476|2) Same thing here
00:20:758 (20758|0,21084|1) You get the idea
00:23:693 (23693|3,23774|2,23856|0,23938|1) There is no stream
00:26:628 Double
00:46:193 Same as in the diffs before
00:56:546 Add a note
00:58:666 ^^
00:59:155 ^^
00:59:970 You get the idea
01:15:867 (75867|2,75948|0,76030|1) Delete
01:16:111 Sounds like a short 1/16 stream to me

This can be aplied to the rest of the map

Insane
00:23:774 (23774|1,23856|0,23938|1) Can't hear a stream
00:56:546 Missing a note here
01:00:704 (60704|2) Would delete that note
01:09:671 (69671|3,69997|2,70323|1) Would change these LN's as they are in the previous diffs (because they are beautiful xD)
01:20:106 (80106|0,80432|1,80758|2) ^^

Good difficulty, really like it

All in one, sweet map, but you still have a good way untill ranking. Whish you good luck!!!
PS: Really nice song choice

Rave's Easy
00:05:758 Would do a double on the accord piano sounds I'll give it a go and see how it feels for others
00:08:367 ^^
00:10:976 ^^
00:36:736 I think you mapped this on voice, so i'd put a note in there alright
00:46:519 Put notes for the voice in here, too yea
00:49:128 You get the idea I do
00:55:323 Double here and on every big white tick, too mhm
01:03:149 LN alright
01:05:758 Double on every 1/2 beat for emphasizing A bit too much for an Easy, will stick to doing only those with large beats
01:15:541 (75541|1) ??? whoops, made it a single note
01:29:236 Same as 00:05:758 yup
01:57:932 Same as 00:55:323 yup
02:08:693 Same as 00:36:736 and no! cause I follow the piano for this portion
02:29:236 Same as 01:05:758 oki
02:39:019 (159019|3) ??? changed
02:50:106 Same as 00:05:758 ok
03:28:584 (208584|0) I really have no idea what this LN's should represent, im sorry it's supposed to be the weird drum beats that flow in the background, but since this is EZ I will change it anyways. Take a look at the Insane Difficulty: 03:28:584 (208584|2,208584|3,208666|1,208747|0,208829|3,209073|1,209155|2,209236|0,209236|3) - , you will see what I mean
03:39:671 I'd map that part, too (In all diffs) ok
Thanks for the mod!

Just to clarify this, if i say something about 1/2/3/4, i mean the 4 keys you are using for playing (1 = most left key, 4 = most right key).
Anyways, let's go!!!
no reply = fixed
Rave's Easy
00:05:758 Would do a double on the accord piano sounds
00:08:367 ^^
00:10:976 ^^
00:36:736 I think you mapped this on voice, so i'd put a note in there
00:46:519 Put notes for the voice in here, too
00:49:128 You get the idea
00:55:323 Double here and on every big white tick, too
01:03:149 LN
01:05:758 Double on every 1/2 beat for emphasizing
01:15:541 (75541|1) ???
01:29:236 Same as 00:05:758
01:57:932 Same as 00:55:323
02:08:693 Same as 00:36:736
02:29:236 Same as 01:05:758
02:39:019 (159019|3) ???
02:50:106 Same as 00:05:758
03:28:584 (208584|0) I really have no idea what this LN's should represent, im sorry
03:39:671 I'd map that part, too (In all diffs)

Normal
00:05:758 Put a double in here keeping it as is for difficultys sake
00:23:693 (23693|0,23774|1,23856|2,23938|3) There is no stream There is now
00:26:139 (26139|3) ???
00:42:932 (42932|3,43095|2) Should also be a jack since 00:42:280 (42280|2,42443|2) is one different sounds
00:46:193 Why the pause? Mabye voice LN's or something mapped to the piano
01:03:149 Replace double with LN would clash with the next LN. Changed to a single though because a double doesnt really fit
01:05:758 Double why?
01:10:976 ^^
01:15:541 (75541|0) Delete wouldn't fit the burst
01:15:541 (75541|0) Double
01:46:845 (106845|0) If you want to use it for this swift sound, it ends at 01:47:171 1/1 for simplicity

This can be aplied to the rest of the map

Hard
00:08:367 Double
00:08:367 (8367|2) Ends at 00:10:976 would be weird to extend it that long
00:18:149 (18149|3,18476|2) Same thing here
00:20:758 (20758|0,21084|1) You get the idea
00:23:693 (23693|3,23774|2,23856|0,23938|1) There is no stream reeee
00:26:628 Double
00:46:193 Same as in the diffs before
00:56:546 Add a note
00:58:666 ^^
00:59:155 ^^
00:59:970 You get the idea trying to keep it simple for diff. Insane has them all mapped
01:15:867 (75867|2,75948|0,76030|1) Delete overmapped for simplicity
01:16:111 Sounds like a short 1/16 stream to me even if it is, no way I'd map that in a hard

This can be aplied to the rest of the map

Insane
00:23:774 (23774|1,23856|0,23938|1) Can't hear a stream above
00:56:546 Missing a note here
01:00:704 (60704|2) Would delete that note
01:09:671 (69671|3,69997|2,70323|1) Would change these LN's as they are in the previous diffs (because they are beautiful xD) I had it like those but people told me to change it :((((((((((((((((
01:20:106 (80106|0,80432|1,80758|2) ^^

Good difficulty, really like it

All in one, sweet map, but you still have a good way untill ranking. Whish you good luck!!!
PS: Really nice song choice
Thanks for the mod!

Quick check
[Normal]
00:23:041 - The pattern from here to 00:25:323 - is kinda just spam left to right stair. Suggest CTRL+H 00:23:530 (23530|3,23693|0,23774|1,23856|2,23938|3,24019|0,24019|1) - this, then change the pattern thats after. Make the pattern flow better imo
01:03:149 - A single note should be enough (plus this is NM
01:04:291 (64291|3) - Kinda confuse with this LN, if you want to show the faded in sound, its start at 01:03:802 - . On the other hand, you want to go vocal, its start at 01:04:454 -
01:15:541 - One LN doesnt really fit, while you can hear the drum roll is pretty loud. Suggest 01:15:541 - add a note the or add another short LN from 01:15:867 - to 01:16:193 - for the main sound (to also build up the intensity), or you can do both
02:39:019 - Same as here
02:47:497 - While the piano here is much more noticeable here, following vocal is not really a good idea. img
And why not map the song fully xD

my 2 cents i guess

1. One thing that i noticed is that the map ends a bit earlier than expected, might be bias but all of the "Glory Days" maps I've played goes through the whole song. Currently, it feels a bit abrupt and gives the feeling that it's WIP especially when the song's intensity escalates @ 3:53, feels like you're missing a big part of the song

2. Not too sure about anime in general since I don't follow it much but I doubt that Captain Earth is Your Lie in April (The BG depicts characters from that anime). So you might want to change that

3. 00:55:323 (55323|2) - Well, I think it's fine if you really want to map every single instrumental ever in this song but I feel that this part plays vastly differently from the other parts with a lot of rhythm changes and swings all around. Personally don't really feel that it's much of a build up here, instead it feels a bit too overkill in terms of difficulty and complexity when comparing it to the actual chorus. I would just recommend toning down complexity by either axing some instrumentals or just mapping something else (vocals are fine too but I don't think your map focuses on that much)

4. 01:44:644 (104644|2,104807|0,104970|2,105133|1,105296|3,105459|1,105622|1,105785|3,105948|1,106111|2,106274|1,106438|2,106601|3,106764|1) - No idea what these are mapped too, even if it is mapped to an instrumental, it feels really dumpy

5. 01:54:834 (114834|2,114834|3) - why is this a 2 note chord

6. 02:10:976 (130976|3,130976|2) - why is this a 2 note chord but 02:13:584 (133584|1) - isn't

7. 02:17:171 (137171|1) - this feels out of place, feels very much like a stray note when i was playing it

8. 03:17:008 (197008|2,197090|3,197253|2,197334|3,197416|2) - do 43434 instead, leads into the stair better i believe

Currently, it feels a bit abrupt and gives the feeling that it's WIP especially when the song's intensity escalates @ 3:53, feels like you're missing a big part of the song I really like the way it ends but enough people have mentioned it now that I might just concede. I don't really see a point to mapping the ending as I feel like it finishes extremely well as is (also probably biased as I've never played another glory days map). I'll play around with it but I'm not sure where I'd take it.

2. Not too sure about anime in general since I don't follow it much but I doubt that Captain Earth is Your Lie in April (The BG depicts characters from that anime). So you might want to change that I don't really follow anime that much either honestly. I didn't even know this was a captain earth song until I finished it and I felt like the background just fit well. Considering captain earth BGs don't really fit, I'll keep it as is or find a similar background. I don't like the idea of having backgrounds "not allowed" just because the characters in them are related to some show from 2 years ago.

I chose the BG because it's a very piano driven song with a female singer (already evident in the BG) and the title "The Glory Days" implies a period in the past that was much more preferable to the present. This is evident in the BG as the girl seems to be deceased and but a memory in the boys mind. To me I interpreted it as the duo playing together until she died and now the boy plays alone with just the girls voice in his mind as an accompaniment, hence "The glory days".

Simplified it down a lot by removing all red tick notes that weren't drums and analysing blue ticks closer to determine whether they actually needed a note or not. Feels better now, would love some feedback on it!

4. 01:44:644 (104644|2,104807|0,104970|2,105133|1,105296|3,105459|1,105622|1,105785|3,105948|1,106111|2,106274|1,106438|2,106601|3,106764|1) - No idea what these are mapped too, even if it is mapped to an instrumental, it feels really dumpy Yeah prot told me they werent mapped to anything and I swore they were, two BNs now and well, fixed it. Changed to 3 LNs for the guitar and 1/2 singles to represent the instrument I was mapping before.

5. 01:54:834 (114834|2,114834|3) - why is this a 2 note chord

6. 02:10:976 (130976|3,130976|2) - why is this a 2 note chord but 02:13:584 (133584|1) - isn't The first one is a chord and the second one is a single note.

7. 02:17:171 (137171|1) - this feels out of place, feels very much like a stray note when i was playing it I agree but there's a very clear piano sound there and without it, it'd be a very very long pause

8. 03:17:008 (197008|2,197090|3,197253|2,197334|3,197416|2) - do 43434 instead, leads into the stair better i believe Fixed!

ohh god i like this song

[Insane]
  1. 00:04:454 (4454|2,4617|1) - 00:04:780 (4780|0,4943|1) - why not ctrl+J to each of them , just fit with the pitch
  2. 00:05:432 - 00:06:084 - 00:06:981 - 00:07:063 - 00:08:693 - i wonder why you skip this soft piano , i can hear them clearly actualy
  3. its just my opinion , but i'd like to end the LNs here 00:10:976 - and follow the piano instead of full vocal LNs
  4. 00:21:736 (21736|0) - move to 4 , for some reason i dont like to see this 00:21:084 (21084|0,21247|1,21410|0,21573|1,21736|0,21899|1,22063|0,22226|1) -
  5. 00:26:465 - if you not gonna map this sound at least give this 00:26:302 - one more notes , just for make a difference with the other pianos , tbh i'd love it if you change it with LNs xD
  6. 00:28:910 - same
  7. 01:04:454 - i think you should place the LNs here , its like changing vocal and the start of the synth
  8. 01:17:334 (77334|1) - move this im kinda note like 4stacks on the jump
  9. 02:03:639 - add notes here , maybe it will add some flow because its also follow the vocal like here 02:05:269 -
  10. 02:40:813 (160813|2) - same with first kiai
  11. 03:18:802 - add notes here , its strong enough to place triplets on there
  12. 03:30:378 (210378|1) - same with the second kiai
[Hard]
  1. 00:12:932 - add notes here on 3 i think
  2. 00:26:302 (26302|3) - same with Insane
  3. 00:39:345 - you not gonna make this double? im pretty sure its same with 00:38:693 -
  4. 01:04:454 - same with insane
  5. 01:09:671 (69671|3,69997|2,70323|1) - i think just make it same with insane but without hithat , i dont need to mention it on another pattern like this if you applied this
  6. 01:46:519 - refering with Insane , i think you should add notes here and move 01:46:845 (106845|0) - to 2 or whatever
  7. 02:24:019 - i dont think it must be double in hard , just for consistency
  8. 03:17:497 - instead of LNs , i think you must mapped that kick
i think the rest is neat

actually i hope you map this untill the very end honestly :(

  3. its just my opinion , but i'd like to end the LNs here 00:10:976 - and follow the piano instead of full vocal LNs why? What would I replace the big gap with?
  4. 00:21:736 (21736|0) - move to 4 , for some reason i dont like to see this 00:21:084 no, that would create an anchor on 4(21084|0,21247|1,21410|0,21573|1,21736|0,21899|1,22063|0,22226|1) -

2017-03-23 13:47 Rivals_7: hmm up to you i think. but for consistencies i think you should. 2 LNs on 1|2 wont hurt even after the stream

2017-03-23 13:51 Litharrale: give the player more time to hit the first 2 notes 1|2 of the stream?
2017-03-23 13:52 Rivals_7: before that. have an idea for the to be pretty much more mash-able - https://puu.sh/uVyG5/de68ff47b5.jpg
2017-03-23 13:52 Rivals_7: for the stream*
2017-03-23 13:52 Rivals_7: demn lol
2017-03-23 13:53 Litharrale: you sure? it keeps changing directions like that
2017-03-23 13:53 Litharrale: I thought it'd be easier to like
2017-03-23 13:53 Litharrale: sort of just make it go in one direction
2017-03-23 13:53 Litharrale: sec ill try yours out
2017-03-23 13:54 Rivals_7: i personally plays that better than one-direction-stairs tho. it might looks pretty hard, but it plays more better than one direction stairs
2017-03-23 13:54 Rivals_7: since mostly people literally mashing 12|34 if they see pattern like this
2017-03-23 13:55 Litharrale: yeah i do that lmao
2017-03-23 13:55 Litharrale: im too bad to be good at the game
2017-03-23 13:55 Rivals_7: lol
2017-03-23 13:55 Litharrale: oh wow i just tried it and you're right

2017-03-23 13:55 Litharrale: I could also just change it to 12|43 spam

2017-03-23 13:58 Rivals_7: 03:39:671 (219671|0,219671|1) - btw how about triples? crash noise
2017-03-23 13:58 Rivals_7: and move - 03:39:182 (219182|1,219345|2,219508|3) - one step to left to avoid stack

2017-03-23 14:04 Litharrale: The music cuts off right before the notes that were meant to land on 1|2
2017-03-23 14:04 Litharrale: but instead they come in later 2 measures after as chords

[Insane]
  1. 00:05:269 - missed a note?
  2. 00:08:367 - add? it's a chord
  3. 00:10:976 - ^
  4. 00:14:889 (14889|2,14889|3,14889|0) -, 00:16:193 (16193|3,16193|1,16193|0) -, 00:17:497 (17497|2,17497|3,17497|1) -, 00:20:106 (20106|1,20106|0,20106|3) -, 00:21:410 (21410|3,21410|0,21410|2) - why are these notes a hand (3 notes)? they aren't particularly stronger than everything else.
If you are mapping the piano chord, then 00:14:073 -, 00:14:563 -, 00:15:052 -, 00:15:541 -, etc should have extra note aswell

  6. 00:44:155 (44155|0,44155|1,44236|3,44236|2) - a kick as a jump (2 notes), while every other kicks in the same section are represented by singles (1 note).

  11. 01:37:063 - this part looks unintuitive as hell. Try to avoid 01:37:878 (97878|0,98041|0) - when changing column, because 01:38:041 (98041|0) - isn't a part of 01:37:063 (97063|0,97226|0,97389|0,97552|0,97715|0,97878|0) - anymore, yet it's still in the same column, making it a bit awkward to hit. (I hope I explained it properly)
Also, why not changing it everytime the guitar change note? it'll be much more intuitive and plays better.
  12. 01:57:932 - why are the kicks aren't jumps here? They're represented by jumps in earlier part 00:13:584 -

  1. 00:05:269 - missed a note? You're right in that there is a piano sound there but it's so faint that it's not worth mapping
  2. 00:08:367 - add? it's a chord

Signal the start of a new measure

  9. 01:03:149 - what about LN that follows the vocal instead? imo they looks better than 01:03:802 - this note that starts on a barely audible sound I'd rather not map the vocals but I changed the other LN so it makes a little more sense
  10. 01:34:454 - add, since you did the same to other chords done
  11. 01:37:063 - this part looks unintuitive as hell. Also, why not changing it everytime the guitar change note? it'll be much more intuitive and plays better. The beat isn't linked to the guitar at all so linking them in the map wouldn't make sense. I think as is makes sense. Changing column by bar wouldnt make sense either.

i feel like supercell outdid it with this song but the vocals are erm alright i guess

add why

insane

vocal mapping is interesting

00:15:215 (15215|0,15215|1,15378|3) - id expect these things to be stacked on top of each other (like you did with 00:14:889 (14889|3,14889|0,14889|2,15052|2) - ) for piano emphasis
applies to similar sections

00:17:497 (17497|3,17497|2,17660|2) - not sure why this is stacked, no piano emphasis here
00:16:193 (16193|1,16193|3,16193|0,16356|2) - not really sure how you decide for the stackings actually - maybe you can stick to the stacks for piano thing

00:19:943 (19943|1,20024|2) - 1/6s here
if youre unsure with how to layer the section then
suggestion
i feel its fine if 00:20:106 - this was just a double to accommodate for the 1/6s

00:22:715 - triple? seems like you only tripled for big white ticks

00:24:182 (24182|2) - delete? 00:26:465 - no piano beat, also no note

00:24:019 - couple of suggestions for this section
id personally like it if you were to stick to a particular structure esp. for the repeated piano beats
e.g. from 00:24:345 -
its things like this that make me feel tingly and nice because there is proper emphasis on two things
a) the pitches of the piano
b) 1st column = dings of the bells

of course the LNs you included may disrupt with the structure but id like to see things like this in the parts where youre more than free to do more than just rando notes

00:34:454 - above suggestion somewhat applies here but at your own discretion

00:40:160 - 00:40:649 - note for piano

00:55:486 (55486|1,55813|3) - i dont get why you layered these, but chose not to layer 00:56:139 - this - id rather you stick to purely percussion at this point because of patterning like 00:56:546 (56546|2,56628|0,56628|1,56872|2,56954|0,56954|1) - that touches on the snares on the 3/4 ticks, not 1/2s
00:58:666 - 01:02:579 - note for percussion

01:05:432 - this is where i cream my pants

01:06:410 - from what i see at 01:11:628 - , you double for the vocals - why isnt 01:06:410 -following the same concept then?
01:07:715 (67715|2,67878|2,68204|2,68367|2) - building on the same thing above, i dont really understand why these are stacked; i feel like the stackings should primarily involve the double chords for the vocals because thats what you should* be emphasizing in the chorus here, seeing how you decided to go for vocal mapping yee
just a small tip, be balanced with how you give the stacks to each hand - i feel like i should point them out but i think youre capable enough to do the adjustments yourself

01:15:541 (75541|2,75622|1,75704|0,75785|3) - feel like these notes should be trilled, they have enough emphasis to them
01:15:052 - double for snare?
01:14:726 (74726|2,74807|3,74889|2) - not sure why theres a one hand trill here

01:24:508 - 01:24:590 - 01:25:894 - note for piano?
suugeshyun

there are a couple of places in this section that have a bit of odd shit- i.e. 01:26:247 - seemingly rando piano note on 1/6s etc., which makes it such that you should stick to a simple structure even more

i think the players should be very much able to pick up on the thing youre going for with this patterning, given how odd this section is with the snaps ugh
01:27:280 - same thing here as above, you can change the stream direction etc. with every double

01:37:063 - jacks are kinda misleading, in a sense where what it follows is very very subtle - toooo subtle for such an intense patterning
img
you can just stack every 1/1 tick

01:39:508 - 01:44:399 - 01:44:726 - why no double?
01:39:019 - i think i get the concept, but 01:39:019 (99019|0,99019|2,99345|0,99345|2) - these being the same columns even though the pitches arent the same bugs me slightly

01:47:008 - 01:47:334 - not sure why there arent any notes here, you followed the hihats before this soo

01:47:497 - same thing applies here from before, i think you can transfer the concepts

01:59:073 (119073|2,119236|2) - why the stack?
i dont get why you kept the [24] chord for so long here too

02:02:497 - double? for bass beat, also you doubled every white tick here

02:03:149 - also dont get why you broke structure of notes on every 1/2 ticks here, the snares are pretty indecipherable in play too
i think you can most definitely integrate the snares together with the bass beats here, feel like its much nicer if you were to keep consistency

02:18:802 - same as before etc. etc. ill point out the missing notes though
02:20:351 (140351|1) - dont think theres a snare here, please check again
02:22:144 - 02:22:959 - snares here
02:25:160 (145160|3,145215|0,145269|1) - i think this is just a 1/4 beat on 02:25:242 - here

02:26:628 - just a minor pet peeve of mine but i think its much better if the chords ascended left to right rather than right to left

02:28:910 - SV was a little bit unexpected, i missed here lo
maybe i just suck at SVs

same thing for the chorus, stick to the vocal = double thing
most of the things i mentioned previously also apply here too, will just include the new things
02:39:508 - these are 1/6s, but i feel its fine if you were to simplify it to 1/4s because i personally think theres an underlying 1/4 sequence here too - up to you to decide

02:48:149 (168149|0,168313|1) - more emphasis for the repeated percussion beats pls

02:52:878 (172878|2,173041|2,173530|0,173693|0) - put them IN THE SAME COLUMN REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :x :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

03:09:182 (189182|3,189345|3) - be more mindful with the stacks in this section, it kinda interrupts the flow of the section imo given how some of them are in the same columns, etc. etc.

03:16:193 - feel like you can make the jumpstream more trilly, sticks with the percussion better

03:17:497 - pls no burst on 1/8 :C:C::::::::C:C:C:C:C:C:C:C:::C:C:C:C:C:C:C:C:C:C:C:C:C
its kinda unexpected but i guess theyre alright (i can hit them legit), up to you whether or not you should keep this

same thing applies for all the choruses reeeeee
03:32:660 (212660|2,212823|2,212986|2) - intentional?
03:37:063 - i think you should follow the electric guitar here, the piano notes are completely indecipherable in play

03:44:073 (224073|0) - 03:46:682 (226682|3) - 03:54:508 (234508|0) - maybe swap hands for the LNs? i.e. 1st col 4th col 1st col etc.
03:56:465 - LN here pls

03:49:454 (229454|1,229535|2,229617|3,229698|0,229780|1) - trill for the drum bass beats etc.

03:59:970 - note for the flipping book sound idk how to describe it lo

hard

00:09:508 -

00:04:291 - better to just have a note here, ignoring it entirely seems out of place

00:05:269 - note for piano, you already mapped 00:10:649 (10649|2) - this sooo

00:09:997 - dont get this section , if youre only following the main piano beat then 00:10:323 (10323|3,10649|2) - these shouldnt be here

00:24:182 (24182|1) - 00:29:073 (29073|3) - 00:29:399 (29399|3) - no piano here, 00:26:465 - you didnt map this so
also compare the chart to insane

00:32:497 - feels a bit odd that you used 343 here but did something a little easier in insane, im just pedantic but still

00:56:791 (56791|0) - no note in insane here
im not sure about the layering you were trying to go here, you should compare it to insane mainly

01:15:867 (75867|2,75948|0) - wh v2
