Merci!

16:23 sheela: same
16:27 JenHideo: wow
16:27 sheela: ok! you can play now
16:28 JenHideo: um just my opinion
16:28 JenHideo: i think people will like it better if the preview point wasn't on the heavy dubstep part
16:29 sheela: hmm true
16:30 sheela: lol
16:30 JenHideo: struggling ;c
16:30 sheela: hahaha
16:34 sheela: lol
16:36 sheela: nice play!
16:36 JenHideo: thanks!
16:36 JenHideo: i was thinking about the diff name
16:36 JenHideo: "Freedom" sounds kind of generic
16:37 JenHideo: I was thinking something like "Liberation" would sound better
16:37 sheela: i was too lazy to search for a richer name lol
16:37 JenHideo: or "Devotion" since the song is called Holystone
16:37 sheela: Devotion it is
16:38 JenHideo: also
16:38 JenHideo: i was looking at how to map played and it's quality
16:38 JenHideo: so don't think i struggled the whole thing
16:38 JenHideo: xd
16:38 JenHideo: but here is my mod
16:39 JenHideo: 00:10:524 (4) - I think an NC here would be better
16:39 JenHideo: 00:10:888 (1) - and take it off here
16:39 JenHideo: 00:12:524 (2) - I don't like how you mapped a reverse slider here
16:40 JenHideo: when the same sound for 00:11:615 (1,2) - is 00:12:524 (2) - and to me it just feels weird
16:40 sheela: the nc thing: it doesn't follow the consistency with the nc pattern
16:41 JenHideo: 00:14:888 (2) - Looking what what you did at 00:13:070 (1,2) - I think you should make it an NC
16:41 JenHideo: but shouldn't the NC's match?
16:41 sheela: the repeat slider follows the piano, like 00:11:979 (1) -
16:41 JenHideo: ok
16:42 JenHideo: Gonna skip the kiai
16:42 sheela: the nc, it would look weird if i add one
16:42 JenHideo: 00:50:161 (1) - would be nicer if you curved the end more inwards
16:43 JenHideo: 00:52:342 (1) - and this in the middle
16:43 sheela: it's like following the piano too
16:43 sheela: 00:50:161 (1) - i don't like it when the curve is too "curved"
16:43 JenHideo: yeah but the player barely hears the piano in that part
16:44 JenHideo: 00:50:161 (1) - even if you keep it this way, you could still add the circle in the middle of the curve
16:44 JenHideo: would be a nice blanket
16:44 JenHideo: Also talking about the diff name
16:44 JenHideo: I think Liberation would be nicer
16:45 sheela: it's not really my style to do so
16:45 JenHideo: since at 01:07:615 - it says "Break out of the chains" or something like that
16:45 sheela: all right
16:45 JenHideo: sorry I am not used to your stile
16:45 JenHideo: style* so i am just saying what i think
16:45 sheela: it's okay
16:46 sheela: it's not a bad idea
16:46 sheela: but i don't like it much
16:46 JenHideo: the blanket?
16:46 sheela: yeah
16:46 JenHideo: ok
16:46 JenHideo: 01:27:251 (1) - would be nicer if you made the read ticks consistant
16:47 JenHideo: even thought the sound is loud and a little crazy
16:47 JenHideo: it stays the same through out it (except the end a little)
16:47 sheela: ok
16:47 sheela: actually
16:47 JenHideo: 01:31:615 (1) - same here but just for the end part in my opinion
16:48 sheela: there's a feeling in that sound that made me make this kind of slider
16:48 JenHideo: because you did it to 01:32:706 (1) - but not for the rest when they have the same sound
16:48 JenHideo: 01:35:979 (1) - I get that the sound lowers at the curve part
16:49 JenHideo: but it just doesn't look right
16:49 JenHideo: 01:38:161 (1) - I don't like the part with the red ticks
16:49 JenHideo: just feels random
16:49 sheela: 01:31:615 (1) - i'll consider it, but it would look a bit messy
16:50 JenHideo: can you explain why?
16:50 sheela: it's about the patterns around it
16:51 JenHideo: 01:59:979 (1) - this slider
16:51 sheela: oh wait
16:51 JenHideo: just has that bad vibe to it imo
16:51 sheela: 01:31:615 (1) - you want the end to be consistent?
16:51 JenHideo: 02:01:070 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - what you did here is fine
16:51 JenHideo: but you should maybe consider making all of them NC's
16:52 JenHideo: yes
16:52 JenHideo: 02:14:888 (1,2,3) - stream feels to fast to play
16:52 sheela: 01:31:615 (1) - making the end consistent is a bit boring to look
16:53 JenHideo: and it seems to be spaced out to much
16:53 JenHideo: I get that but
16:53 JenHideo: nvm
16:53 JenHideo: your choice
16:54 JenHideo: 02:17:251 (2,1) - This is a little awkward to play
16:54 JenHideo: and it doesn't look so great
16:54 JenHideo: 01:31:615 (1) -
16:54 JenHideo: if you think this would be boring
16:55 JenHideo: 01:32:706 (1) - why would you make this consistant?
16:55 sheela: 01:59:979 (1) - [http://i.imgur.com/6rsbFRc.png i made it like this]
16:55 JenHideo: 01:29:433 (1) - and part of this
16:56 JenHideo: did you just change that
16:56 JenHideo: or was it always like that?
16:56 sheela: 02:14:888 (1,2,3) - the spaced triplets sound well in this part imo, and it's the spacing i use for 1/6 rhythm
16:57 JenHideo: 02:33:797 (1) - just doesn't look good to make this type of sliders when there are not enough ticks
16:57 JenHideo: ok
16:57 JenHideo: 02:34:888 (1) - why don't you make this curve at the end
16:57 sheela: 01:32:706 (1) - it's a little inconsistent
16:57 JenHideo: and make 02:37:070 (1) - be blanketed by it?
16:58 JenHideo: i know the start isn't
16:58 JenHideo: but the rest is
16:58 JenHideo: by the way how do i save this chat
16:58 JenHideo: and post it on the forum?
16:59 sheela: you type /savelog and you get a text file
16:59 JenHideo: yeah but how do i get it onto the forum
16:59 JenHideo: just paste it?
17:00 sheela: use the [box=IRC][code]text[/code][/box] bbcode too
17:00 JenHideo: 05:48:524 - would be a better spot for preview point
17:00 JenHideo: thanks
17:00 sheela: 01:32:706 (1) - made the end a little more inconsistent then
17:02 JenHideo: 03:31:615 (1) - the other sliders looked fine
17:02 JenHideo: but this one isn't lol
17:02 JenHideo: 03:37:615 (1,1) - watch this "blanket"
17:02 sheela: 02:17:251 (2,1) - made it less uncomfortable
17:03 JenHideo: I am gonna wait so you can catch up
17:03 sheela: 02:33:797 (1) - turned this into a simple curve slider
17:04 sheela: 02:34:888 (1,1) - the style again, plus the flow is more direct
17:05 sheela: 05:48:524 - placed the preview point here
17:06 sheela: 03:31:615 (1) - honestly i like this slider since it looks new to me
17:06 JenHideo: yeah but
17:06 JenHideo: when it is crunched inside of itself
17:06 JenHideo: it just doesn't look right
17:07 sheela: [http://i.imgur.com/GAqXr1x.png i made it a little clearer]
17:08 JenHideo: yeah that looks better!
17:08 sheela: yey
17:09 JenHideo: :D
17:09 sheela: 03:38:161 (1) - i don't see anything wrong, although i moved the last slider node a tiny bit down
17:10 JenHideo: the right side of it is more spaced out
17:10 JenHideo: while the left side is almost touching it
17:10 JenHideo: wait nvm
17:10 JenHideo: i mistakenly moved it lol
17:10 sheela: lol
17:11 sheela: ok, i'm ready for more suggestions
17:12 JenHideo: 03:57:797 (1) - Is pretty hard to read since the stream and slider are still fading away
17:12 sheela: i see it perfectly
17:13 JenHideo: 04:19:070 (1,2,3) - These jumps are weird
17:13 sheela: yeah, there's enough time to see that slider
17:13 JenHideo: well what skin do you sue
17:13 JenHideo: use* because i tested some of my other skins
17:13 JenHideo: and some of them still are fading when it happenes
17:13 JenHideo: happens*
17:13 sheela: the default skin
17:14 JenHideo: people don't use the default skin when they play though
17:14 sheela: it's recommended when modding or mapping
17:15 sheela: but it's true
17:15 JenHideo: I know I am using it
17:16 sheela: tho the players remove their hitbursts for 300 hits, so they shouldn't be blinded by them
17:17 sheela: 04:19:070 (1,2,3) - i don't see the jumps weird
17:17 sheela: they play fine
17:17 JenHideo: 05:50:161 (1) - take off the first red tick and the third one to make it look better and it would play smoother
17:17 JenHideo: the quality of them are not
17:18 sheela: even the quality is fine to me
17:18 JenHideo: especially in such an obtuse angle
17:18 JenHideo: it bugs me how the jump is big for (1) to (2) and they are angled
17:18 JenHideo: then (2) to (3) is just a straight line
17:18 JenHideo: and the jump is smaller
17:19 sheela: 05:50:161 (1) - i removed the two ticks
17:20 JenHideo: something like 06:14:706 (1,2,3) - would make more sense
17:21 sheela: then the flow for the jumps will be new to the players, which shouldn't be a problem tbh
17:21 sheela: they follow the music too imo
17:21 JenHideo: if they were to follow the music
17:21 JenHideo: 04:19:251 (2) - would be an NC
17:22 JenHideo: and that would make them follow the music better
17:22 JenHideo: and 04:19:070 (1) - doesn't feel like it should be an NC
17:22 JenHideo: there isn't much sound
17:22 sheela: not necessarily
17:22 JenHideo: except the drum
17:23 JenHideo: also
17:23 JenHideo: wouid you mind telling me which parts were made with 1/12?
17:24 sheela: okay, the nc's are added
17:25 sheela: most of the nc patterns are like that
17:25 sheela: so ok
17:25 JenHideo: just wondering
17:25 JenHideo: would you think making it CS4.2
17:25 sheela: for the 1/12: 03:33:433 (1,2) -
17:25 JenHideo: would make it play a little better?
17:26 sheela: sure, the cs is now 4.2
17:26 JenHideo: :D
17:26 sheela: that boosted the star difficulty tho lol
17:26 JenHideo: by how much?
17:27 sheela: around 0.07*
17:27 JenHideo: o
17:27 JenHideo: ok
17:27 JenHideo: Well
17:27 JenHideo: that's it really
17:28 JenHideo: but I might mod it again sometime if I see some other stuff
17:28 sheela: cool, that was very helpful
17:28 sheela: thanks!
17:28 JenHideo: No problem! The map is very good! :D
17:28 sheela: :D
17:29 sheela: are you going to post it in the forums now?
17:29 JenHideo: yeah

Hey there!
awesome entry!

[bonsoir]

  5. 06:08:161 (2) - attention, touching bar life!
  6. 06:41:433 - change the volume hit sound to 5% ?

Bravo à toi!

Hey very pretty map you got there
  1. 00:16:888 (1,2) - It'd probably be better to move the (2) to like 353,361 since all 3 drums here are fairly prominent. It'd be better to have some small flicks with consecutive prominent elements rather than linear movement.
  2. 00:25:615 (1,1) - I think you should reduce the spacing between these a little it's a bit too much imo. Especially since the spacing between these 00:24:706 (1,2,1,1,2,1) - were kinda small.
  3. 01:39:615 (2,1,1) - The movement here is a little uncomfortable because you're going from sharp angles to wide ones and the direction of 01:39:979 (1) - is going against the direction of mouse movement but not in a way that fits the song or anything it's just a little uncomfortable. I think it'd be better to just move 01:39:797 (1) - to like 192,63 so that the second pattern 01:39:433 (1,2,1) - mirrors the first pattern 01:38:888 (1,2,1) - It would fix the angle issue and the mouse movement between 01:39:797 (1,1) - wouldn't be going against the slider flow.
  4. 01:49:797 (1,2) - If you kept the sliders orientated as they were I'd tell you to increase the spacing or make the angle sharper but I think it would feel better if you just Ctrl+G the (2).
  5. 02:01:070 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Manual stack please? I don't like it when notes are like this =3=
  6. 02:16:342 (1,1) - Kind of hard to tell that the note is under the slider head because you're only 1/3 of the way through the slider before it starts to appear.
  7. 03:19:070 (2,3,4) - Manual stack?
  8. 03:39:979 (1,2) - The flow between these two isn't the best since to follow the (2) you have to move your mouse in the direction you came from which like it would be fine if you're maybe trying to express something unique in this part of the music but there isn't anything there so it kind of feels ehhhh... weird? There're a lot of elements here so I can't really think of a quick suggestion to fix it I'll leave it to you if you decide to change it.
  9. 03:49:615 (1,3) - Hard to see the (3) under the (1).
  10. 03:53:979 (1,2,3) - ^
  11. 03:58:342 (1,2,1,2,1) - I'd make the spacing between these a lot larger because that way the emphasis with the decreased spacing on 03:59:433 (1,1,1) - would feel a lot stronger and appropriate. The decreased spacing feels a little underwhelming atm.
  12. 04:07:797 (1,2) - The slider flow here is opposing the mouse movement but unlike the other cases I mentioned this one is a lot worse because you've like lined up the sliders perfectly so the mouse movement and slider flow line up completely. If they were offset slightly like this it would make it a lot better imo.
  13. 04:27:251 (1,2,3) - Similar issue to 03:39:979 (1,2) - .
  14. 04:33:797 (1) - I think it'd be better to Ctrl+G this and rotate it clockwise by 7 degrees about the selection center. Because at the moment the slider flow is at 90 degrees to the movement between 04:33:797 (1,1) - in like a weird way. Idk I'm terrible at explaining lol. Most of my suggestions are just "this didn't feel nice to me so do this because it feels nice to me".

It'd be better to have some small flicks with consecutive prominent elements rather than linear movement. Instead I moved (1) at 351,369. For the type of drums 00:17:251 (2) - is hitting, I made the spacing consistent and smaller, pretty much like 00:16:342 (1,2,3,4) -, because the sound stays the same. Only 00:16:888 (1) - starts with a sharper sound, so a jump would be fine here.
  2. 00:25:615 (1,1) - I think you should reduce the spacing between these a little it's a bit too much imo. Especially since the spacing between these 00:24:706 (1,2,1,1,2,1) - were kinda small. I agree.
  3. 01:39:615 (2,1,1) - The movement here is a little uncomfortable because you're going from sharp angles to wide ones and the direction of 01:39:979 (1) - is going against the direction of mouse movement but not in a way that fits the song or anything it's just a little uncomfortable. 5. 02:01:070 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Manual stack please? I don't like it when notes are like this =3= I kind of agree, but the stack represents the beat that is repeated a few times, therefore I'll leave it like this to emphasize that part.
  6. 02:16:342 (1,1) - Kind of hard to tell that the note is under the slider head because you're only 1/3 of the way through the slider before it starts to appear. True. Moved the note on a higher place.
  7. 03:19:070 (2,3,4) - Manual stack? Sure, since the beats are different.
  8. 03:39:979 (1,2) - The flow between these two isn't the best since to follow the (2) you have to move your mouse in the direction you came from which like it would be fine if you're maybe trying to express something unique in this part of the music but there isn't anything there so it kind of feels ehhhh... weird? There're a lot of elements here so I can't really think of a quick suggestion to fix it I'll leave it to you if you decide to change it. Hopefully the new flow is better.
  9. 03:49:615 (1,3) - Hard to see the (3) under the (1). Moved (3) to the right.
  10. 03:53:979 (1,2,3) - ^ Moved (3) to the left.
  11. 03:58:342 (1,2,1,2,1) - I'd make the spacing between these a lot larger because that way the emphasis with the decreased spacing on 03:59:433 (1,1,1) - would feel a lot stronger and appropriate. The decreased spacing feels a little underwhelming atm. Oh, I didn't realize they were small. Increased the spacing to stay consistent with 03:51:797 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - and similar.
  12. 04:07:797 (1,2) - The slider flow here is opposing the mouse movement but unlike the other cases I mentioned this one is a lot worse because you've like lined up the sliders perfectly so the mouse movement and slider flow line up completely. If they were offset slightly like this it would make it a lot better imo. Okay.
  13. 04:27:251 (1,2,3) - Similar issue to 03:39:979 (1,2) - . To be honest I like this flow. I think it would be better to change the flow in this part since 04:26:706 (1,2,3) - and 04:27:797 (1,2,3) - are common flows.
  14. 04:33:797 (1) - I think it'd be better to Ctrl+G this and rotate it clockwise by 7 degrees about the selection center. Because at the moment the slider flow is at 90 degrees to the movement between 04:33:797 (1,1) - in like a weird way. Idk I'm terrible at explaining lol. Most of my suggestions are just "this didn't feel nice to me so do this because it feels nice to me". Sure lol.
Thanks for the mod, Yoges!

Congrats on winning the contest!

00:18:524 (1,2) - There isn't a sound on 00:18:888 - so this rhythm is kinda weird to me. I think it's better if you just did what you did for 00:17:433 (1) -

00:15:797 (2,2,3,4) - looks kinda weird because of the stack, you could move it so that 00:16:524 (2) - is directly under 00:15:797 (2)'s head, and not 4.

00:47:615 (1) - might sound picky but you should probably smooth the curve for this slider to match 00:47:797 (2) - a bit more

00:48:706 (2,1) - Blanket

00:50:161 (1) - Might make more sense for this to end on 00:52:251 - then to silence the tail

01:11:797 (2) - keysound here sounds wrong, but im no musician so i have no idea what its supposed to be lol

01:12:524 (2,4) - I'm pretty sure keysounded hitsounds have to have like a hitnormal or hitsoft attached so there's good enough feedback. not sure, might be fine here because it's just a couple of notes.

01:09:570 - in the SB, "breakaway" is two different words not one word

01:36:706 (1) - move this up a bit to match the distance from 01:35:979 (1) - that 01:36:888 (2) - has - https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6736658

02:05:251 (1) - aren't this and 02:05:797 (2) - the "same", so shouldn't they have similar slider velocities?

02:34:888 (1,1) - Same as earlier, might fit to end the slider at 02:36:979 - and silence the tail

02:56:524 (2) - keysound sounds wrong

03:24:524 - error on the SB here, the white light for 03:24:706 (2) - shows up early

04:43:368 - SB - lyrics should be "And this holystone it beckons to me to go back home"

05:05:821 - SB - lyrics are wrong here too, I think it's "For due sunset we'll arrive and no, no...there's no turning back now"

Rest looks good.

Great map, I can tell a lot of work was put into this. Good luck!

00:18:524 (1,2) - There isn't a sound on 00:18:888 - so this rhythm is kinda weird to me. I think it's better if you just did what you did for 00:17:433 (1) - This is also inconsistent with the rest of the rhythms. Fixed.

00:15:797 (2,2,3,4) - looks kinda weird because of the stack, you could move it so that 00:16:524 (2) - is directly under 00:15:797 (2)'s head, and not 4. Moved the triplet instead, which is basically the same result.

00:47:615 (1) - might sound picky but you should probably smooth the curve for this slider to match 00:47:797 (2) - a bit more All right.

00:48:706 (2,1) - Blanket Picky, but sure.

00:50:161 (1) - Might make more sense for this to end on 00:52:251 - then to silence the tail It doesn't feel right to me. By extending the slider, yes it would get all the sound before 00:52:342 (1) - kicks in, but I think 00:52:342 (1) - is better emphasized when there's a gap before because pressing it feels more stronger. Usually the players would single-click the slider and the circle, and that's the feeling I want. Extending the slider requires to alternating the fingers, which the feeling is not that great.

01:11:797 (2) - keysound here sounds wrong, but im no musician so i have no idea what its supposed to be lol The keysound is indeed wrong. Fixed.

01:12:524 (2,4) - I'm pretty sure keysounded hitsounds have to have like a hitnormal or hitsoft attached so there's good enough feedback. not sure, might be fine here because it's just a couple of notes. Might have to work the hitsound files.

01:09:570 - in the SB, "breakaway" is two different words not one word Done.

01:36:706 (1) - move this up a bit to match the distance from 01:35:979 (1) - that 01:36:888 (2) - has - https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6736658 Okay.

02:05:251 (1) - aren't this and 02:05:797 (2) - the "same", so shouldn't they have similar slider velocities? They are not the same; the sound on 02:05:251 - goes to a higher pitch than 02:05:797 - which stays constant with 02:05:615 -.

02:34:888 (1,1) - Same as earlier, might fit to end the slider at 02:36:979 - and silence the tail Same reason.

02:56:524 (2) - keysound sounds wrong Fixed.

03:24:524 - error on the SB here, the white light for 03:24:706 (2) - shows up early Yes.

04:43:368 - SB - lyrics should be "And this holystone it beckons to me to go back home" Makes actual sense. Fixed.

05:05:821 - SB - lyrics are wrong here too, I think it's "For due sunset we'll arrive and no, no...there's no turning back now" Sounds like that. Fixed.

Rest looks good.
