RRM Modding QueueGeneralFor the most part, I'll be modding both the patterning and consistency. The consistency mod is adding/removing notes so that you're using a consistent amount of notes for each sound. This will naturally make some of the pattern suggestions redundant so I'd advise you to look at the patterning section first
Don't forget to move the notes around my suggestions if it reduces the playability
Okay ^^In Lv.9, you have an uninherited timing point that does nothing at 00:50:016 - , which is hidden by a bookmark. Remove it, since this is unrankable
I forgot this0 1 2 3
Lv.4Patterning00:05:616 (5616|0,5816|1,6016|0) - one-handed {x,y,x} are uncomfortable. Since the music isn't going back and forth between two sounds, avoid this
Fixed00:05:216 (5216|3,5416|2,5616|3) - this applies, to a lesser extent, to here as well
Fixed00:08:816 (8816|3,9016|2,9216|3) - ^
Fixed00:15:616 (15616|0,15816|1) - holding a LN then playing a SN in the same hand feels more uncomfortable than playing the SN and holding the LN in different hands - separate them
Done00:16:016 (16016|3,16216|2) - ^
Done00:16:016 (16016|3,16616|3) - shields are not a beginner friendly pattern, so avoid these as well. Just ctrl+H 00:16:616 (16616|3,17016|0) - to solve it
Done00:17:416 (17416|1,17816|2,18216|1,18616|2) - this pattern is a bit repetitive for no real reason. Change it for variety
Fixed00:19:616 (19616|1,20016|1) - I personally dislike this since 00:20:016 (20016|1) - would be better off in {2} or {3}, as it is more comfortable than a 1/1 jack
Done00:33:816 (33816|1,34016|2,34316|1,34616|2) - this isn't alternating between two sounds so I'd change up the {x,y,x,y} pattern
Done00:34:816 (34816|3,35216|3) - these aren't the same sound, or similar sounds, so remove the jack
DoneBetween 00:39:216 - and 00:40:816 -, add a note in {1}. It's quite empty
Done00:42:016 (42016|2,42416|2) - like before, this kind of 1/1 jack can be changed into a more comfortable pattern by moving 00:42:416 (42416|2) - to {0} or {1}
Fixed00:46:216 (46216|2,46216|3,46616|2,46816|3,47216|2) - this is very heavy on the RH. Move a note to the LH, like 00:47:216 (47216|2) -
Done00:49:616 (49616|3,50016|3) - remove this jack. It's not representing a repeated sound
Done00:51:416 (51416|3,51816|3) - ^
Done Between 00:58:216 - and 00:59:616 -, you should add another note in {2}, as it is quite empty, preferably 00:59:616 (59616|3) - to {2}
Done01:02:416 (62416|0,62816|0) - again, no repeated sound here
Done01:09:216 (69216|3,69416|3) - a 1/2 jack is also too difficult so leave it out, even if the snares are repeated sounds
Done01:10:016 (70016|0,70216|0) - ^
Done01:14:816 (74816|3,75216|2,75616|3) - this is heavy on the RH, move 01:15:616 (75616|3) - to {1}
Done01:21:616 (81616|0,82016|0) - no repeated sound, remove the 1/1 jack
Done01:23:816 (83816|3,84216|1,84416|3,84816|1) - there's no alternating sounds, so remove the {x,y,x,y} pattern
Done01:24:816 (84816|1,85016|0,85216|1) - for an easy, this pattern is probably a bit fast for one hand. Move something to {2}
DoneConsistencyGeneralThis difficulty is mapping both vocals, which is only in the Kiai section, as well as the other instruments, mainly kicks, snares and the electric guitar
Since this is a TV size song, which means it's relatively short, changing to a vocal-only style of mapping during the Kiai section only is disorientating. Solve this by mapping the instruments throughout the whole difficulty whilst removing any vocal mapping, including from parts out of Kiai
I also feel that you should map everything with singles, apart from crashes which you should use doubles for. Using doubles for any other instruments, like the snare or kicks, will likely push the SR quite close to that of Lv.6, which won't make as good of a spread. I've tested this mapping out the snares, kick and guitars with singles and it turned out to be around 1.4* so it should be fine
I remapped all that part and did some things I thought it would fit well, thank you!SpecificBetween 00:00:016 - and 00:00:316 - there are 1/4 snapped drums. I feel that it's weird to leave them out, as they are relatively strong sounds. Map this with two notes, one at 00:00:016 - and the other at 00:00:216 -, or one LN that starts at 00:00:016 -and ends at 00:00:416 -
Yep it seems a bit weird right now, thanks!Between 00:46:816 - and 00:48:016 -, you can map the drum roll using 1/2 snapped SNs or 1/1 LNs. I'd personally use the following;
The sounds that 00:48:416 (48416|3) - and 00:48:816 (48816|0) - are mapping don't last a 1/1 measure. Therefore you should change the LNs into SNs
Seems good00:49:616 (49616|0) - I'm pretty sure that the electric guitar sound ends at 00:50:016 -, not 00:49:816 -. Change the LN's length
DoneConsidering that you have 01:15:216 (75216|2) - mapped, add a note for the sound at 01:15:016 -
DoneLv.6This diff is mostly fine, just small amount of pattern changes and consistency stuff to make it better
Patterning00:09:716 (9716|2,9816|3,9916|2,10016|3) - this trill is too difficult for this level, especially since the 1/4 snapped singles is probably the hardest thing to play in this diff. At the very least, move 00:10:016 (10016|3) - to {1}
Done00:11:816 (11816|3,12016|2,12216|3) - having 3 out of 4 notes in the RH is too imbalanced. Either move 00:12:216 (12216|3) - to {0} or 00:12:016 (12016|2) - to {0}, preferably the first option
Done00:12:416 (12416|1,12616|1) - if this jack still exists, remove it. Jacks are used to represent two sounds from the same instrument being played in a row, for unpitched instruments, or two sounds of the same pitch being played in a row, for pitched instruments. Therefore, there is no reason for it to be there, considering that there are enough free columns available
Fixed00:12:816 (12816|3,13016|3) - ^. If this jack is mapping the vocals, then you'd a note from 00:12:616 - in {3} as well
Done00:14:616 (14616|3,14816|2,15016|3,15216|2) - remove the one-handed trills. They're uncomfortable to play and there's no musical reason for it; such as the music alternating between two sounds
Done00:34:016 (34016|3,34316|2,34616|1) - since these are all the same sound and pitch, you can move them all to {3} if you want. They're quite spaced apart so it shouldn't be too difficult as well
Done00:43:216 (43216|0,43216|1,43416|2,43616|1,43616|0) - this is heavy on the LH, so move some notes to the RH. 00:43:216 - only has a snare whilst 00:43:616 - has a snare and crash so using the same notes feels off. I'd move 00:43:216 (43216|1) - to {3}
Done01:23:416 (83416|3,83616|2,83816|3) - like before, avoid these {x,y,x} patterns if you can help it, especially on one hand
Done01:24:416 (84416|3,84616|2,84616|3) - jacks like this feel weird to me, where the first beat is a single note but the second beat has a jack and plays another note in the same hand. Because of that, I'd like it if you moved 01:24:616 (84616|2) - to {1} (not {0} because it would make a chord jack)
RightConsistencyAdd singles for 00:00:016 -, 00:00:116 (116|3) -, 00:00:216 (216|2) - and 00:00:316 (316|1) -. The percussion there is reasonably strong so it's weird to leave them out
Done00:05:416 (5416|1) - and 00:05:816 (5816|2) - could use doubles if you want. 1/2 snap for snares should be fine, considering that this song doesn't use 1/2 snares that often
Done00:06:116 (6116|1) - there's no snare there, remove the note. If it's mapping the synth then it's an inconsistent note, as you haven't mapped the other 1/4 synth sounds, so still remove it
DoneSame with 00:09:016 (9016|1) - and 00:09:219 (9219|2) - could also be made into doubles, if you want
DoneFrom 00:10:416 - to 00:18:416 -, you placing doubles on every 1/1 snap. If you ask me, you should move the doubles to the offbeats, between the 1/1 snaps. This is because the snares, which make a stronger sound, are played on the offbeat where the 1/1 snaps only have kicks, which have a weaker sound. You've also used singles for kicks and doubles for snares earlier, so it's inconsistent to change it now
You also do the same between 00:50:416 - and 01:08:016 - then between 01:16:016 - and 01:24:016 - later in the diff
Done00:13:116 - there's a snare here, add a note as it is on the 1/4 snap
DoneIf you want, you can add a note at 00:15:916 - for the kick. If you that also remove a note from 00:15:816 (15816|2,15816|3) -, otherwise you'll cause a larger difficulty spike there
Done00:19:816 - there's a snare here, add two notes cause it's on the 1/2 snap
Done00:23:416 (23416|1,23616|1) - and 00:26:616 (26616|0,26816|3) - are mapping the same sound so map them in the same way, whether you make them both jacks or not
Done 00:32:016 (32016|1) - add another note, as it is a snare on the 1/1
Done00:33:616 (33616|0) - ^
Done00:42:316 - snare here, add a note or two. It's on the 1/4 snap so maybe stick with one note. Same with 00:43:916 -
Done00:43:016 (43016|2) - add a second note, as it is a 1/1 snare. If you want, you can make it a chord jack with 00:43:216 (43216|0,43216|1) - as they're the same sound
DoneLike with the above suggestion, you can make 00:44:616 (44616|2,44616|1) - and 00:44:816 (44816|3,44816|0) - chord jacks if you want, as they're the same sound
Done00:45:216 (45216|3,45216|0,45216|1) - this shouldn't be a triple. It's a crash and all the previous crashes only have doubles
DoneIf you used doubles for the snares at 00:42:316 - and 00:43:916 - then leave 00:45:516 (45516|3,45516|2) - and 00:46:216 (46216|3,46216|2,46316|1,46316|0) - as they are. Otherwise change them all to singles
Done00:53:016 - snare here, add a note, since 00:52:616 (52616|2) - is a single and there's a LN which could make doubles relatively annoying
Done00:56:216 - ^
DoneSnares at 00:59:416 - and 00:59:516 -, add singles as it is a 1/4 snap
DoneLike before, 01:05:816 - should have singles for the snare. 01:06:016 (66016|2,66016|3) - should be a single so it shouldn't create any jacks now
Done01:09:016 - ^. But since 01:09:216 (69216|3,69216|1) - should still be a double, you need to shorten the length of 01:08:416 (68416|0) - to 01:08:816 -, otherwise there'll be a jack.
Done01:09:416 (69416|2) - this should be a double, cause of snare. Same with these notes:
Done01:09:616 (69616|1) -
01:10:016 (70016|0) -
01:10:216 (70216|1) -
01:10:416 (70416|2) -
01:10:616 (70616|3) -
01:11:016 (71016|0) -
01:11:416 (71416|2) -
01:11:616 (71616|1,71616|3) - this should be a single, the only sounds there are soft
Done01:11:816 - and 01:11:916 - are both snares, but use one note cause of 1/4
Done01:12:816 (72816|1) - use two notes, cause it's the same sound as 01:12:416 (72416|0,72416|2) -, 01:13:016 (73016|2,73016|3) -, etc - idk what the instrument is
DoneThere are sounds at 01:15:016 - and 01:15:116 -. To avoid making it a trill, you need to change 01:14:816 (74816|3) - to a SN and make the note at 01:15:216 - a LN. Using an image for clarity. New pattern on the left;
01:18:116 (78116|2) - this is a ghost, remove it
Done01:18:316 (78316|1) - snare here, at a note, as it is on the 1/4
Done01:18:416 (78416|0) - snare, add a double because it's on a 1/1
Done01:18:616 (78616|1) - ^, it's on a 1/2
DoneThere are still snares on 01:21:316 - and 01:21:516 -. If you add them, remove a note from 01:21:216 (81216|3,81216|2) - to stop a large difficulty spike
Done01:21:816 (81816|1) - this could probably be turned into a double even if it is after the burst, cause it's still on a 1/2
Done01:25:116 - missing a note for snare, use single
Done01:25:416 (85416|2) - this could be a double, as it is on the 1/2
Done01:27:616 (87616|1,87616|3,87616|0) - technically, this is the same sound as 01:27:216 (87216|0,87216|3) -, 01:27:016 (87016|2,87016|1) -, etc, so change it to a double
DoneLv.9 and Lv.11SVsThis
SV guide, by Evening, goes over the basics of using SV changes
To sum it up quickly, to make SV changes readable, you need to make sure that the average speed of any SVs in any specific area is equal to 1.00, the default SV. Sometimes, your SVs mean that the average speed isn't 1.00. For example, between 00:52:816 - and 00:53:216 -, the average SV is 0.875 - which is 0.5*(1.15+0.6). Go over the SV changes and fix any instances like this
I haven't used SVs before so you should go to someone more experienced for more information on this
I used this as a base to change each SVs' valor, looks fairly better as well_
That's it for now. PM me for any questions
I'll remember all these things, it's very useful to me of course, thank you very much for the awesome mod! ^^
