Hard to find stuff wrong in Taiko diffs, so a majority of these will be suggestions

First of all, in the beginning, why not make the dons between the two katus big dons? Makes sense with the song more. But there's really no difference so it doesn't matter. In fact, it wouldn't fit well as you go so forget this.

00:45:099 (2) - That interrupts the right hand left hand flow you had going on. Make it a ddk.

You have some strange finish placements that resemble structures you'd find in standard maps translated to taiko... but you don't really need to fix them as they're not illegal nor do they really make anything any more harder to hit.

But overall, it's pretty good.

I guess you're right, there rly are some ugly slider lol, but I'm getting better in making them every Day :D
Next thing I'll do is checking the AIMod through.

But I won't change the Offset because Fight69 said so :O ... and I think it fits better here.

wow, that was a fun mapset :D

The only thing I can really say(mod wise) anything about is that I think the sliders are too fast in normal+ for that kind of spacing, but it was definately playable the way it is.

I was surprised when I found that Ono's taiko wasn't too hard for me to play too. :)

Your sliders look really bad too, i'm not asking for perfection but i'd least would like to see you tried to make them prettier.

    Tout d'abord, pour une Easy, je recommande (mais c'est plus une préférence personnelle =p) de suivre davantage la musique (si elle a des rythmes simples). Ce sera plus simple à jouer, parce que les nouveaux joueurs téléchargent en priorité des maps de chansons qu'ils connaissent, donc retrouver les rythmes de la chanson dans la map sera plus simple pour eux. Par exemple:
  1. 03:34:383 (2,4) - Ce passage (et tous les passages ultérieurs similaires) peut être assez déroutant. La musique ici fait du 1/1 3/4, mais tu fais du full 1/1, ce qui rend le placement assez bizarre (du regard de la musique) et les joueurs risquent de se faire avoir.
    Ensuite, LES COMBOS. Ta façon de mettre des NC est inconsistente, et c'est vraiment assez mauvais pour le rendu final de la map.
  2. 00:22:157 (3) - new combo pour respecter le comboing d'avant (un NC tous les gros traits blancs)
  3. 00:29:036 (4) - Pareil.
  4. 00:51:202 (1) - Depuis le break jusqu'à cette note (non incluse) le comboing est tout foireux. Il a pas l'air de suivre quoi que ce soit de logique (?)
  5. 01:34:004 (1,2,3) - Regarde bien le premier pattern après le spinner avant (01:00:374 (1) - ce spinner). Pour respecter ce comboing, enlève le NC sur (1) et mets-le sur 01:35:532 (3) -
  6. 01:49:289 (5) - NC pour représenter le changement (assez radical) de rythme ?
  7. 01:58:461 (3,3) - NC pour respecter le comboing après (02:10:691 (1) - par exemple)
    Quelques autres remarques aussi:
  8. 02:30:563 (3) - Essaie de courber ce slider (joliment) de façon à éviter l'overlap avec (1) après.
  9. 03:48:523 (3) - NC here (toujours les mêmes raisons)
  10. 03:59:224 (1) - Enlève le NC... (voir patterns d'avant)
Normal
  1. AR is high for a Normal. The song doesn't feel really fast or anything, and having it so much different from OD feels weird. Reduce it to 5 ?
  2. You wanted help for that Normal, so here it is. First of all, the patterns are rather difficult. Patterns like 00:05:915 (3,1,2) - including fast and sharp direction changes are difficult to get for a new player. There are lots of 1/2 beats (with 1/2 or 1/1 rhythms), and even some non-slider 3/4 rhythms, which is (to me) way too hard for a Normal. All these contribute to making your Normal too hard (and giving it a high star rating). I also don't agree with big slow downs for a Normal, as they are confusing. With that in mind try reworking your Normal (it might imply a remap though :/). Also 01:33:813 (2) - this slider's body is entirely hidden by the previous one.
Hard
  • I think this is too hard for a Hard, mainly because of all the added 1/4 and the rhythms used (that are not in the song). Also, the score gap with Normal is really big... Try going for rhythms a bit more complex than rough 1/2 all along, without adding all of that unnecessary 1/4. :/ Other than that:
  1. 01:45:468 (1,2,3,4) - This really is a bad idea to me. Big (and surprising due to the rhythm) jumps followed by a very sharp slowdown... It plays quite bad (the jumps create some speed that the slowdown instantly kills).
  2. 02:15:277 (5,6) - That jump is unexpected, and doesn't really make sense, as you never used such jump any time in the song after and before this.

Hey there, answering your request!

[General]:
  1. Timing: Offset felt kinda early. Due to low OD people won't notice that much, but I was getting lots of "late" mistimed. Increasing the offset to 1530 (+9ms on every timing section, don't forget!) felt much better to me, and finished the map with much much less mistimed.
[Hard]:
  1. Your hard is on the harder side, considering you are using this circle size combined with AR8. I guess that's okay but some patterns could use some simplification then, I will note which ones.
  2. 00:09:928 (9,10) - Just as described above, this would be much better if you just had a repeating slider which repeats once more and remove the note 10.
  3. 00:38:591 (4) - New combo here and remove it from 00:39:164 (1). Follows the music much much better.
  4. 00:42:603 (1,1,2,1) - These new combos aren't really necessary. You should remove them all and put a new combo on 00:44:705 (2) to follow the music better. This will be very tricky to pull off because of many inconsistencies with the combos. Unless you use them for certain patterns, try to match the melody of the music, so each section has a new combo. I won't write it down here because it will take alot of space, but if you can't figure them out on your own, catch me ingame and we can discuss this further.
  5. 02:33:239 (5) - I would say this note should come 1/4 earlier if it's trying to follow the melody.
  6. 02:34:767 (3) - Same thing as the above. 1/1 and 1/2 bashing throughout the whole mapset is not fun.
  7. 02:35:914 (2) - End it 1/4 earlier.
  8. 03:16:518 (1) - Remove this finish, could probably use a soft hitsound set for the spinner as well. Reason is below.
  9. 03:21:008 - I strongly suggest to add a note here. Without it the rhythm could be unpredictable. Since you mapped almost every big white tick in similar sections, you should do it here as well. Don't forget to put a finish on it as well.
  10. 03:34:383 (4) - Move it 1/4 earlier to follow the music better.
  11. 03:35:912 (3) - Same as the above.
  12. 03:58:842 (4) - Start it 1/4 earlier but make it end the same.
  13. 04:00:371 (1) - ^
[Normal]:
  1. This is kinda hard for a normal. If you increased AR to 7 and OD to 5 and remapped a few parts which have long sliders, you would get a solid Hard diff. Well, what's done is done I guess, I would lower OD to 3 in any case, due to the number of 1/2 circles, so the newer people hit them more easily.
  2. 01:35:915 (1) - Sound like you're missing a finish. (you used it in hard)
  3. 02:33:239 (1) - Just like in hard, this note should be coming 1/4 earlier. It's easier this way, but it sounds wrong. I guess the same stuff apply for: 02:34:767 (1), 02:36:296 (4), 03:34:383 (1), 03:35:912 (1), 03:58:842 (1), 04:00:371 (1) (although this one can be hard because it shouldn't repeat then), 04:01:899 (1) (same as last),
  4. 03:09:161 (5) - This note is not properly stacked with the note 3. Although I have to add that you should probably reposition it somewhere else, overlaps can be a bad idea in such a harder normal diff.
  5. 03:21:008 (1) - This note is coming too soon after a spinner for a normal diff. To make things worse it's kinda far from the middle of the screen. You should position it closer to the middle and shorten the spinner if possible. Personally I think the spinner could pass, but in that case you really have to reposition the slider. (although you might change it to like it is in easy atm)
  6. 03:26:549 (2) - Since you used claps on all red ticks on the map, you should probably add one here as well.
[Easy]:
  1. 01:49:289 (5,6) - Hmm, add whistles like you did in the next section? (a whistle on slider ends)
  2. 03:34:383 (2) - Maybe add a whistle? Just a suggestion. Might also take a look at 03:35:912 (4), 03:37:441 (4) for the same suggestion.
  3. 03:42:218 (1) - Maybe start the spinner at the big white tick? Not a huge difference but it does follow the music a little better.
  4. 03:48:523 (3) - Place a finish maybe?
[Ono's Taiko Oni]:
  1. 03:00:371 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) - instead of a repeated ddd ddd ddd k k k, maybe make ddk ddk ddk k k k? Just a suggestion, to add some variety and it sounds nice.
Clean mapsets, but I really disliked the combos in normal and hard. Nothing that critical because it plays alright, but if you could arrange them better to match the music, it would be much much better.
