[General]- So currently, you need an Easy diff or you need to nerf your Normal to make it less than 2*, otherwise it's unrankable and all that fun stuff.
- Uncheck wide screen support in whatever diffs need it XD
- Your diff names are following the beatmania format but this isn't from Beatmania I'm assuming...? I dunno, I wouldn't suggest using diff names from another game if the song isn't from there, but I may also be wrong about source, so yey
- Just a quick thing regarding spread is that I feel like the gap between normal and Hyper is a little big, not in terms of SR, but in pattern use and note density. I mean, normal used doubles pretty sparingly, and 1/2 streams were kept to a minimum I think. But Hyper is like, THROW IN ALL THE TRIPLES, USE THOSE JACKS, BRING IN THE 1/2 STREAMS, LET THE WORLD BURNNNNN, so I would suggest nerfing Hyper too, or adding an in between diff to act as a transition.
- Lastly, check aimod and fix the inconsistencies between tags and stuff.
[Normal]00:06:536 (6536|3) - This LN feels unnecessarily drawn out to me. I'd consider breaking it up into smaller LNs for a bit more interesting play. You can also hear the pitch change slightly at 00:07:841 and 00:09:145 and 00:10:449 but that might just be the notes like 00:10:449 (10449|1)
00:37:188 - Make this a double for the clap?
00:55:612 (55612|3,55775|0,55775|1) - Ohh, because these kicks are hooked or whatever you wanna call them, maybe control H so 00:55:612 (55612|3) is in the same column as 00:55:286 (55286|0)
01:18:112 (78112|0,78112|1) - I can understand why you'd want to make this a double because it's the ending note of the chorus, but this sound here is just a kick, very similar to 01:17:786 (77786|1) so I'd consider just making this double a single note instead.
01:24:145 to 01:24:797 - Why not add an LN here? I think it'd fit nicely to lead into this section 01:24:797
01:28:058 - For consistency, shouldn't you have LNs here similar to 01:25:449 (85449|0,85449|2,85612|3,85775|1) because the sounds here are the same. On the other hand, you could do away with 01:25:449 (85449|0,85449|2,85612|3,85775|1) completely, because they might be a little too hard for a normal since jump LNs aren't normally introduced yet at that skill level. But they're nice either way. My suggestion would be to just shorten 01:28:058 (88058|0) to last only one beat, and then add a 1/2 LN at 01:28:058 for it.
01:24:797 - Tying into the consistency thing above, because you add an LN 01:27:406 (87406|3) for the bass sound, you'd also have to do the same for 01:24:797 too because they're very similar sounds.
01:39:145 (99145|1) - Although the sound continues on until 01:40:449 , I think it'd look a little nicer if you ended it at 01:40:123 where the note is for the clap.
01:45:830 (105830|2) - Delete this note? My reasoning here is that 01:44:851 (104851|1,105178|1,105504|2) fall on the heavier synths that are more clearly audible, whereas 01:45:830 (105830|2) only has a quiet hihat sound, so leading into the snare at 01:45:993 (105993|0,105993|3) might be pretty confusing when you think the 1/2 burst should end 01:45:667 in a musical sense.
02:06:536 (126536|1,127841|0) - Is there a reason why you suddenly use jacks here? The rest of the section doesn't use them, with these being the only two exceptions, so it stands out in a strange way because you suddenly switched from using no jacks to using them, then back again, which might confuse a player because they're being faced with two different styles of mapping within the same few measures.
02:10:449 (130449|2) - I think it'd be better to end this LN at 02:11:428 and add a note for where the snare hits, because after that point, you can't really hear a sustained sound as it's the snare there, then a single kick at 02:11:591
03:11:754 (191754|3,191754|0) - To follow with the structure you've just set up for this buildup, make this a {24} double because the doubles are alternating in the previous few measures.
03:13:058 to 03:14:362 - Going off of the above, to keep that alternating jump structure, I'd make the doubles in this section be like a {14} - {23} pattern, like so
[Hyper]00:10:449 (10449|0) - Why's this jacked with 00:09:145 (9145|0) ? If you're following pitch relevancy, it should be in any column but 1 because it's a higher pitch, so move somewhere else?
00:21:862 - I think this deserves more than a single note. It's a snare after all.
00:51:047 (51047|1,51210|2,51536|2,51699|1) - I think removing these notes would help emphasize the chords at 00:50:884 (50884|2,50884|3,50884|0,51373|1,51373|0,51373|3,51862|2,51862|0,51862|3) and also because the music becomes quieter. There's still instruments playing there, but not as loudly.
00:52:188 - 00:52:188 - Add notes for the drum toms and stuff? It's pretty audible.
01:18:112 (78112|2,78112|3,78112|0) - Reduce this to a double because it's not as heavily accented.
01:25:449 (85449|3) - This isn't the same pitch as 01:25:123 (85123|3,85286|3) so move to a different column.
01:25:612 (85612|1) - If above is accepted, move this to some other place I guess.
01:26:917 - This kick is pretty loud you know...
01:34:091 (94091|1) - If you're following the bell, this goes up at 01:34:172
01:51:536 (111536|2,111536|0,112841|2,112841|0,114145|0,114145|2,115449|0,115449|2) - And so on. Anyways, for consistency, because you've mapped snares in this difficulty using triples, by logic, these would also have to be triples. You could get away with making these doubles if you reduced notes like 01:52:188 (112188|0,112188|2,113493|0,113493|2,116101|0,116101|1) to a single, or just added an LN in their place because the bass is what I'm assuming these represent.
02:44:199 (164199|2,164362|2,164362|1,164525|1) - I have been playing this same general pattern for, like, half a minute already, don't you think this is tiring and boring? I thought it was a nice addition when I first saw it, but after a few measures of it, I was just hoping it would end already >.< If anything, you should consider switching this pattern to different hands and different kinds of doubles like a {12} or {34} pattern.
Basically, in this diff, just check your
privilege consistency, and how you map certain sounds like snares and stuff.
[Oh hi Aliscea, I've seen you before in the forums]00:26:101 - It's cool to ignore some sounds, but I mean, the bells are like, "y u do dis T.T" when you ignore them. They're very easily audible, so I'd at least add a note or something for them at 00:26:346 - 00:26:591 - to at least make this measure different from the others.
00:42:732 (42732|2,42732|3) - I'd suggest making this a triple to accent it from the other notes in this slowjam section, and then make 00:43:058 (43058|0,43058|3,43058|1) a quad because there's a crash on it.
00:58:058 (58058|1,58221|3) - Because there are kicks on these notes, I'd suggest putting them in the same column and making an anchor or whatever they're called.
02:58:710 (178710|0,179851|0,181319|1,182460|0) - And etc. Why don't you make these doubles because they're more heavily accented in the music compared to the other sounds like this that I have no name for.
