bro was sitting next to me in my cs class and i didn't even know until like a week in. we were sitting next to each other and he was (i think purposefully) angling his laptop towards me while he was browsing the forums. just enough so i could see his screen if i looked in his direction. because obviously i'd react if i saw that and i was the person he thought i was. i say purposefully because i'm pretty sure he knew who i was because i posted about attending that particular university's CS department a couple times on the forums and my name is in my username so..
hopefully he doesn't mind if i share that story. i used to keep him anonymous in that story because he seems more of a private person but its been years so i figured it doesn't really matter anymore.
he's a cool guy, seems pretty smart, and we talked for a bit out of class here-and-there but we're both quiet and awkward as shit so we kinda grew apart over time unfortunately. i always had a sneaking suspicion him seeing me irl ruined his image of me but that's probably (hopefully) just one of my many insecurities talking 🫣

In uni I had one of the top french players at the time in my class but I never cared for that so it wasn't like I met someone from OT, we just played together a few times but never got close. He was cool though.

I got someone very good at mania as a classmate, this is how I found this game, but we never 1v1 because we weren't playing the same game mode
