an actually hot take

Every other Pizza take I've posted (Pineapples on Pizza being stupid, Pizza being American) have been cold takes because I was just speaking on common sense, but this is a real hot take.





Olives don't belong on Pizzas. In fact Olives are unfit for human consumption. We should abandon Olives as a whole and the first step is taking them off the sacred art of Pizza.

That's not a hot take. You know what's a hot take? Tomato sauce on pizza isn't the best thing. Here's another: margherita pizza is ultra mid

Can I ask why? I've always enjoyed olives, especially on pizza. With the right combination of toppings it can really bring a layer of flavour to the food, especially black olives.

How many olives are you putting on? If it's only one, maybe 2 max (I would personally keep it to one, but I dont make big pizzas), then you might be experiencing some kind of placebo effect. Not to say that you don't dislike them, just that maybe theres more to it than you're thinking.

Just give me all the black olives you don't want in a bowl, I'll devour them within minutes.



Which reminds me of when my wife and I bought two 5lb bags of chopped black olives once. We went through them so quickly... I ate so many in one sitting, I pooped black.
