He indirectly calls his friends going to parties and getting drunk shallow, yet his own wishes and dreams are just as shallow in my eyes. However, I would say that, for his age, I can't say I'm surprised. I had stupid dreams at 12-13. I have stupid dreams now too. I can't fault the kid for that.
I can fault the kid, though, for, seemingly, following individuals that don't offer him anything of value. He really should just enjoy life, try to figure out what he likes and enjoys doing and in general just enjoying his last few years of being young and free from the shackles of being an adult. So many people get sad when they see teenagers get the limelight, but the limelight comes at costs that are extremely high at times. I feel like it's better to bloom late and go bad late than to bloom early and thus go bad early.
