i know you included tiktok as a joke but i know this one guy that genuinely used to use it as a search engine
Depends. I honestly try looking for something on Wikipedia first, then follow links out of that. If that doesn't produce anything, or it's something Wikipedia can't answer, I'll try DuckDuckGo first, then sell my soul and use Google second. If that fails, then I just give up and consult tarot cards.

SearXNG and 4get instances on Desktop, but as of late, I've also started using Startpage on Android.
used to use yahoo for a long time, then i got a google account and started using that for convince. rip yahoo canasta
either google or safari, I have also used edge and firefox before, as well as internet explorer when that was still a thing
