Idk. I tried GD before but I didn't like how the core experience of it is to try over and over again until you memorise every little detail. And also how it punished me for slightest mistake for tapping to early/late or not tapping for death and start all over again. For me, I like osu better because alongside of consistency, I still can sightread and play more of less equally the same

both are very very different types of rhythm games, as trying to make a comparison will just boil down to personal bias and how one spends there time in there, but really there isnt like a better rhythm game.

at least, when you develop your muscle memory for GD, every other levels feel more easier and funnier, compared to osu! where you have to play regularly in order to not be rusty. i'm the type of person who hates doing something everyday so this is why i'm more in favor with one game instead of the other

the good thing about osu! is we can play whatever we want in order to improve and our movement are less restricted, but in GD we can create so many great things

As etienne said, gd is not a rythm game, gd is a rythm based platformer

it doesn't mater if it is rhythm game or not, at the end of the day, it's just a tag on steam, what matters is if the game is fur or not

It doesnt mater but i mention it cuz we are comparing different things. I would say gd is a better game if you are looking for something more casual. I dont really like playing insane-extreme demons but that may just be a skill issue on my part, i beat 9 circles tho

not everybody plays GD for insane-extreme demons anyway!! i like playing chill levels for fun :)

i'm also aware that they are 2 differents games, but i've seen a lot of osu! players who plays GD and vice versa

ive never played geometry dash before (i have it but it dosent start up for some reason, still trying to get it fixed)
The reaction they have on beating a new hardest level are relatively the same as reactions i have when i get a new pp play or beat my hardest map. (if you didnt know, im going based of reactions here) sooooo both games are fine. you cant really compare them sense there both different concepts, its like comparing apples and oranges they are barley the same.
Imo i think gd might be better as it dosent require a good pc to play most of the levels. with two major updates to osu! and gd (being 2.2 and osu!lazer getting pp) the play count has skyrocketed on both games. but yea gd has wayyyy more features so yea gd better bye

nah we can just eat the apples and the oranges then say which tastes better XDDDD

even if we remove 2.2, i still think that GD is more enjoyable for its infinite amount of concepts that it has to offer. also, i didn't really base myself on reactions only, but i believe that beating an extreme demon that took you more than 100k attempts is more relieving than FCing a very hard osu! map (but that in no way determines the quality of the game)

In terms of a game, it's alright. I don't know about funnier though, GD players tend to post the unfunniest shit even by OT standards. To be fair, it's a kids game so it might be expected.

10 years ago that was amazing on mobile. World version was boring. Playing it at PC so… Only one button to click?

Funny? It contains music and scripted clicks to pass, sound similar… Every human being can make wow effect to little child with passing any level with 1 attempt. Too old for it?

you talk like a philosopher it's so interesting XDDD

but ngl, i don't think that GD is only for children since there are also a lot of programmers who make banger levels there

Sure, like any popular game it have auditory(which grow up). How much people change active game? Minecraft, CS, Dota etc. Programmer(at least last 5 year their population increase very fast) was child too->every game have it.

If you play new game your brain need energy to know about new things. If you don't waste energy body begining create chillful things. If you use adequate "bunch of energy" to have satisfaction and success -> just do it.

Creating is another game. You build something and watch to result after long time. Why not?
