If someone is ready to drop school for a game they don't deserve anything school could give them tbhStomiks wrote:
Still find it funny he's gonna drop out of highschool to click circles
If you reached high school it should be obvious to you that dropping it for a game isn't worth it.RemmyX25 wrote:
as an oldie who was obsessed with this game in his high school years, back when you were still learning building blocks
dont do this. sure haha funny meme osu!>school , but dont. It may seem tough, but later in life this will be relatively the easiest time of your life.
Unless you go full (hopefully) successful streamer or can make a living out of playing games, then yeah you should definitely don't drop out of academics.Karmine wrote:

even then, streaming has become so mainstream and way too oversaturated that you need to have a gimmick or something different than the other thousands of people streaming. Take from my experience, its not going to be a fast or easy thing coming.Stomiks wrote:

I agree. Most viewers aren't gonna stay for your content if you do the same thing that everyone else does. You have to be unique and stand out so that you can appeal to a specific audience that you can gain your income from. Even that's hard since most of the ideas are already and used even so, you need to be consistent in your shtick while also following your platform's rules and guideliness to maintain your standing and get sponsors and brand deals from companies.RemmyX25 wrote:

Just look at viewers spread on twitch. 99% of streamers have less than 5 viewers while a few have thousands or even tens of thousands.RemmyX25 wrote:

I saw a stat that says if you average 6 viewers on twitch, that puts you on the top 6.7%.Karmine wrote:

Yeah, same goes for youtube, most videos have <1000 views and a tiny portion have thousands or millionsStomiks wrote:

You need an average of 51 viewers to be on the to 1%.

Can't they just balance their school and streaming?
Let's say they sleep for 8 hours, 1 hour commute from/to school, and 6 hours of school time (at least in america), and 2 hours of homework. They still have 7 hours of free time that they can use towards streaming.Polyspora wrote:

When I was in high school it was 8 hours of school every day and at least 4 hours of homework. We basically had no free time. I actually didn't do most of the homework for that reason.Stomiks wrote:

What kind of school give 4 hours of homework on top of 8 hour school time? Is your school trying to burnout the students?Karmine wrote:

And of all countries we could imitate for our education system, we had to imitate France and make it worse. Except for the time tho.Karmine wrote:

I feel bad for our kids' education here. 5th graders can't even do basic addition and early high schoolers can't even read and write their own language.eblf2013 wrote:

Large post count numbers would lose quality though since you can just keep posting shitposts without limits on OTKarmine wrote:
