I wondered if anyone plays osu! on linux. Thats all.
I have tried adjusting my audio offset for days until then realizing that leaving it at 0ms resolves my accuracy issues, because there's no need to offset. So I can also say right on that one. (Although I have to adjust the minimum quantum for the PipeWire server to stop my audio from crackling at medium-to-high CPU load)Jangsoodlor wrote:
I've tried it. The latency is really really very low. Normally, I'd get around 1.5-2 ms latency in Windows. But in linux, it sometimes dropped below 1ms.
The only problem holding me from migrating to linux is that the fractional scaling support sucks. I use a 14-inch laptop. And without fractional scaling, some apps' ui and text is ridiculously small
Setting -35 to -40 universal offset works fine for me. Although it feels a little bit off, it's playable in the end.FazlyMR_ wrote:

That kind of latency is still pretty good if you compare it to my potato computerNeigdoig wrote:
For me, I just have to deal with 15-25ms of latency, since I used the method from YourSandwhich.
I just happened to use ALSA, and I get full frames on Unlimited setting (essentially what I see as V-Sync, but not. I don't know how to explain it). It is super smooth got me, and the latency, as I had mentioned, is also pretty good.NeoEterno wrote:
It runs fairly well, reaching over 1000FPS + low latency w/Pipewire in Flatpak Bottles on a Ryzen 5 1600 - Kernel Linux TKG but still there's a little stuttering at the menu and latency problems. Anyways, i think Windows users should it give a try if maximum performance is required. Refer to this guide: community/forums/topics/1248084?n=1

Well, there is an easy guide for that.Stomiks wrote:

Good luck with it. I personally wouldn't switch since it's so inconvient for the average windows/macs/other popular OS userAireunaeus wrote:

linux is not hard to install and daily drive, you just need to know what kinds of stuff you need ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Stomiks wrote:

Downloading Linus mint is easier than windows imo.Stomiks wrote:

Linux Mint is probably the easiest one to setup imo helped my old laptop run faster.Stomiks wrote:

I recommend trying dual-booting them at first tho (linux mint have an easy option for that) to see how thing works and is that suit you. Personally I can do 95% of what I do on windows in linux. The few things missing are advanced screenshot tool like ShareX, Discord cannot share screen with audio. And Microsoft office and Adobe suites dont have native linux install (although this is the least problematic cuz I can live with libreoffice lol)Aireunaeus wrote:
