Followers is just how many people have added you as friends, its not quite like a social media or something. If you did want to get more followers, just make friends with more people!
Either look for more friends, or be famous through one way or another (making a yt channel, streaming, or just getting a high rank). You can find friends by being active in the forums, multi lobbying, tournaments, and so on.
