There are hundred and thousands of ideas. Asking for an idea is probably not gonna get you very far.
Having a rough idea and asking for help with exact theming and concepts would be more useful

how about making a default skin 2.0?
you can improve what you see wrong or bad on the default skin while trying to be relatively close to the default skin
or maybe whilst improving add something that maybe you think the default skin lacks
