Well this is my first beatmap with the kickass X - Tunnel Scene from Super smash bros brawl!

Please tell me if you find any faults with it.

NOTE: if you downloaded the map before 5 july please redownload!

Edit1:I re-uploaded it becuse i by a mistake deleted the background.
Edit2:Added some sounds on insane
Edit3:Done a mayor fix with the distance snapping and a (almost) completely new Easy due to Starrodkirby86 pointed that out!
Edit4:minor improvments on easy and insane
Edit5:added more hitsounds and fixed some distance snapping in normal
Edit6:Did all the stuff that Saturos-fangirl pointed out
Edit7:fixed the things Metroid pointed out
Edit8:I added some of tieff suggestions! I also changed some other minor stuff and added a victory tune:)
Edit9:Changed some of the stuff blissfulyoshi complained about!

Not letting this map go down into the depths of nothingness.

I can't give a formal modding because the list would be too long, unfortunately. :|

[Easy]:
There aren't any technical problems here because of its timing. That does not mean it can pass as something. What I mostly see on this difficulty were random notes splattered on the map with some sliders here and there (And the occasional spinner). The only somewhat good looking thing were the last three sliders. That was pretty cool. Add more hitsounds though.

[Normal]:
You got a good rhythm here. Very great rhythm. One thing that this map lacks though is proper spacing. Things should spaced according to the timing they are at, unless there are special circumstances (Such as jumps or designs). This is where you use Distance Snap. Enable it. At times where you feel the spacing feels right elsewhere, then don't hesitate to disable it. The spacing should be intuitive though~ Perhaps you should add more hitsounds here.

[Insane]:
This actually looks fun, aside from the Distance Snap errors. Enable DS, move around, have fun. Those sliders though, keep them nearly or as is. Stack some of them, do this and that. Please. This one looks awesome. :)

It's the usual first map. I'm not disappointed, I'm not upset, it's all what I expect. That's not a bad thing. Good luck. :)

By the other comments in this thread I was expecting something really bad, however I was surprised that this map is actually pretty good, and I couldn't find any technical problems. Don't let them put you down.

Most of your difficulties feel like you just placed notes randomly after turning on distance snap. It is pretty boring with no pattern.

I know this map isn't perfect in every way possible....

I agree, this map has seen some rather good influences. Has James-ism started to permeate the whole good mapping community? X__X

Anyway c'ping savelog here, bolding what is important and removing whatever is inconsequential.

Easy is fine if a bit dull, but meh, we need to take care of our inexperienced players. As they say in the army:

To be honest...
The only reason the spinners are so long is because that is the most fitting on that part :P

Insane isn't there. As in, it doesn't come with it when I download it.

Also, tickrate of 2 on Easy sounds better to me.

So, do a full resubmit, that should hopefully fix it. I need to play Insane so I can star this sucker.

Cool map, this. The only thing I didn't like was the BG image. It's a bit boring.. Maybe you can spice it up by using some custom combo colours for the hit circles?

Options->Song Setup->Colours->Enable Custom combo colors

Other than that. I see nothing that bothers me.

It's true that the background is a bit bland but that is because that this picture (and the game-box) is the only fitting picture to the game X and that one was the one i liked the most.
Oh! also about custom colors,The main reason i haven't added custom colors is because i haven't a idea of what colors i should take and also because I'm pretty happy with those colors i have.

Although it is true that it is from the game. The song is also played in SSBB so you can use images from there as well. :)

I thought about that some time you posted that but i decided to not do it, but i assume that a picture from the Lylat Cruise stage would be the best brawl picture. (Im pretty happy with what i have right now :) )

Actuall I think your's Insane is hard only, it's just too easy for me =V=

Other difficulty are OK. But I think you should try to make the map more interesting by adding some own rhythm/

Pretty much all of the sliders are simply straight lines. They would look better if you curved some of them slightly (bezier).

From what you said it sounded more serious then it was....

...First of all i like having a finish on the last beat in a combo ,not on the first
I also like the special spacing at 00:59:21 (it's fun that way :P ) and i like the combos at 1:29:609 - 1:32:409

Yes i also know the sliders are strait line but meh :| i think it's ok as it is

I don't see most of those things as being major....

That spacing isn't rankable, first of all. As for finishes, they would fit the song more like this. Regardless of whether or not it's a major change, it's an improvement.

The background is somewhat bland.

Insane:

01:00:01 (3,4) - Fix this spacing or make the 4 a new combo to warn about the spacing inconsistency. You probably want to do the ladder since you've expressed interest in keeping it how it is.

Normal:

00:10:01 (2,3) - These randomly have higher spacing than the rest of the map, which seems to adhere to a constant distance spacing throughout.

Easy:

No problems.
