Is this briefcase girly ?

I have used a briefcase for a little over a year now and it is falling apart. My grandfather offered to give me his old one which is in good shape.

However, my sister and mother claim that it looks girly. Is this the case ?

I have responses from Loginer, neo@lex, and awp. Possibly the best three to have looked at this thread, heh.

Looking like I won't be using it, since the consensus is that it looks unmanly. But I guess if it's coincidence that only you three think it's girly, I still hope others will continue to post their opinions and tell me otherwise.

It's the handles. If you can replace them with something manlier you should be good to go

Unfortunately, it looks girly. And I have to agree with awp on the handles issue. I myself would say that a nylon strap would be much more general and suitable, but.... I'll be honest, it doesn't even look like a briefcase to me, but more like a bookbag or handbag...

After seeing a bunch of bags for guys in Singapore that I'd classify a handbag, this is butch. I guess social/cultural context is kinda important, if you're in a metrosexual area you can probably get away with this.
